Hear what may be his first ever recording where he plays lead with his family gospel group. His career was much more than Milli Vanilli. John Davis died in 2021 due to covid.
This is the full presentation which was shown to a gathering of friends and family in his hometown, celebrating his life. A shorter (17 minutes) version is here: • The John Davis Story: ...
I knew John Davis, he lived where I worked and he was our client. He was very kind, always smiling, always joking. Such a nice human being.
I am the second cousin of John Davis. My grandfather (Johnnie Davis) and John's Dad (Charlie Davis) were brothers. I am so elated that this information exist. Much of this was unknown to me (and many of us really). Especially the information about our family tree and history. Many of us are still in the Anderson area, and in fact are gathering for the first time in many years this coming weekend.
I would like to clarify one thing: The narrator stated that the man singing on the '45 was my Grandfather (Johnnie Davis). Well, it is actually his brother (John's uncle) Hubert Davis leading that song. He is one of a few Davis siblings still living.
I knew Johnny very well many years ago.See my comment on here about Johnny and your cousin, the late Leo Davis.God Bless
Its a shame America didnt revere this mans superior elite musical talent. He was a better singer than 90% of known artists.
R I P John Davis.
Brad Howell was the singer. Davis was the rapper
@@Jaburu
John Davis was both a rapper and also an even better singer- vocalist as well a musical writer.
@@chibang492 i can't speak about that....alll I am saying is that he was not the iconic singing voice of MV
@@Jaburu it's become a common misconception that he was the singer
@@chibang492I've heard his solo work. He was really good

Can you make video like this about Brad Howell?
It's possible. John's family provided lots of information as well as photos, etc.
Keep on running hit it big cause Rob and Fab performed it first
The Doc. Is okay made, but there is so much information missing on this documentary about Dad and his legacy, as well some things do not belong in there or better yet persons … should have talked to us, his close Family in Germany and not make something out of limited information… Jasmin
The moral to this story is rich men in power exploiting poor black men🤬😡
Sorry to say but I belive this is true.News is that the Japs killed Michael Jackson because he was owned by them and Michael could not take their crap anymore and was getting ready to leave them. Many of todays singers are backed and owned by over sea agents.Prince is another artist who died very young.Get my message people.R.I.P Johnny Davis
