Glad to hear that. We have other Ergotron arms at the office on most of the monitors and they have been lasting for years regardless of all the stress thay have been taking 👍🏻
Finally I found a channel that’s useful to me!! I just purchased and clamped my ergotron to my desk and couldn’t find a way to get my monitor further away from my desk (without changing the angles) so it’s not too close to my eyes. I have Barkaboda IKEA countertop desk and it seems that my countertop depth is similar to yours which is not too much depth. This is the reason why you need more space at the back of the desk for clearance if you really want your monitor to be back. I’m glad I found this channel.

Desk will be alright mate and even if the top board is not thick enough you can have a piece of hardwood underneath, when mounting the clamp. I also subbed yours as I love the stuff you do. I will try doing the Wolverine claws at some point so freak out the neighbors 😀

The Asus should do alright as it was designed as a gaming laptop at the time of release and the graphic card at 4GB DDR5 should also perform well, just update to latest drivers and also after getting the G9, do a firmware update (find it on Samsung website, on the G9 page under Support/Downloads or on G9 reddit page) as the monitor comes with the old one.
It is nice and has a stylish look. Indeed the price is a little higher than the average monitor arm, but so far i did not find an alternative to take the weight of this monster monitor and to be this easy to use and to look this fabulous 😁

One thing I keep seeing is the comments about the price (not only here but other sites as well) but the one thing that is will make a difference for me, is the fact that this will be the mount for my expensive Ultra Widescreen. Sounds like it is built like a tank, and that is exactly what I need to be able to protect my investment. Thanks!

I have both the monitor and tha arm coming next week. It better be the beat it cost the most by far. I also ordered a cheaper 100 wali arm for my asus pg35vq.
You will enjoy the combination! Indeed the arm is among the most expensve ones. I did not have any issues with it so far and I hope I won’t have any in the future. If you did not get the Heavy Duty Tilt Pivot, I would advise to tight those screws really tight on the existing pivot to prevent the G9 from tilting forward.
I can't believe I'm going to drop nearly $400 on a monitor arm but looks like it's worth it
