    I used to have a 16 plate MK2 CBF1000F.
    They are great bikes, but there is a few niggles with them which are easy sorted.
    The windscreen does cause buffeting, a good solution is the Palmer Products windscreen bracket.
    The handlebars I found to be a little low, I fitted SW Motech 25mm bar risers, which is the max you can fit without altering anything.
    The fuel gauge is garbage, but set the dash to show fuel used and it's very accurate.
    The lower fairings are very easy to remove, takes 5 minutes to get them off.
    Overall the CBF is a very underrated bike, but it's a brilliant bike. Mine was the GT model with full Honda luggage.
    Whoever bought mine got a cracking bike with a lot of mods done to it, as I traded it in for the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE I've got now.

      Must say I haven't had any problems with the screen and the bars are just right for me. A useful tip regards the fuel gauge as I agree it is crap. Thanks for your comments and I hope you love your Triumph 👍

    The Swiss alps tour is definitely one to look out for, though I know it won't be for a while.
    I definitely think you made the right decision and I hope you have many years of riding on your new bike 👍

    I was exactly the same, I changed from a Yamaha Fazer 1000 to a BMW GSA ,put up with that , I just didn't gel with it...Sold the BMW and bought a Yamaha mt09 Tracer and I could not be happier, fantastic bike.

    Does the lower fairing affect wind anything? For the driver or the bike?
    Thinking of buying a CBF1000 2010. It does lack the lower fairing however :( And I think I agree with you that it looks better with it. Kinda looks more "complete".
    Maybe have to look if you can purchase a new one to fit. But I doubt it, being an older bike and all.

    Nice video. When is the Swiss Alps tour? I have looked on FB etc and can’t see any details, is it a closed tour or are there still places available??
    You will defo be better on the new bike on tour, even just simple things like being able to fit panniers to the bike make things much easier when away!

    • @Motourev
      @Motourev  Рік тому

      Yes our big European is closed to just the core team as it gets too big to manage.

    • @victorway5503
      @victorway5503 Рік тому

      I had panniers on my last CBF but won't be fitting them on this one, I just don't like riding with them. If necessary I'll strap a bag on the back.

    Cracking bike.
    Im in the process of selling my R1200GSA 2019. I don't need 11.5k tied up in a bije to then run through winter.
    So the cheaper replacement will be:
    CBF1000
    FZ1
    GSX1250FA.

    I have the same bike but a 2015 model, any ideas where to get a rear hugger from, I can't seem to find one for my year bike, got s puncture yesterday and it broke my hugger.

      The two places that do rear huggers that I've found are Pyramid Plastics and Powerbronze 👍

    Get shot of the topbox,ugly looking thing,bellypan over lowers for look,mirrors on the bars (blanking plates) and a Fatbar conversion, more slippery, means more economical...old 'Blade wearing an NSR500 V-Twin bodykit and no mirrors used to average 64mpg touring at 80mph...being slippery makes a huge difference fuel wise,whereas a topbox can lose you 10mpg,costly, ugly things, that also affect the handling!
