You legend! Thank you! I've spent 3 days trying to stop my golf hydraulics from leaking... removing the o ring and pushing the cap down has sorted it! 2 hours to fit a cylinder followed by 3 days of leaking fluid and swearing. You saved the day ❤
So wheres o ring go ? Got this issue with seat leon basically a vw ya get a o ring in the seal kit iv even bought the plastic bit off the pipe because no matter what it leaks lol 😆 new slave master cylinder as well killing my brain 😀 😜 fos the o ring go on 1st ?

Hello pal, just want to say thanks very much for your video. I was thinking about scrapping my car. I could not figure out why the cylinder was leaking. All solved now she will live again. Thanks again
Thank you so much. I was about to set my van on fire. I’m also glad to see that I’m not the only one that couldn’t figure it out. I guess because the parts catalogue for the T5 VW shows the small o-ring and the cap/seal thingy both installed. Either way, I’ll give this a go. Thanks again and fingers crossed.
thank you, my new slave cylinder didn't come with a new seal and the old one was stuck in the old part. I didn't know that there was supposed to be a seal until i seen this video and sure enough put it in and it fixed my leak.
After removing the old line installing new line withouth removing bell housing, using custom made tools. working 2 days to swap the line it still leaks, found out due to your video my coupler is missing the citroen part no 215615. Was already thinking about making a custom coupler with a T piece to bleed etc.will try this for sure!
Hey bro have you had issues with the plastic elbow not fitting your throw out bearing?? Been in the process of a t56 swap for over a year now and this is the only thing from keeping me from finishing 😢 If you don’t get me I’m about to post a video on what I mean
What is that rubber thingy you keep playing around with, where does it go, Does it come with the cylinder. What are you trying to show at the end, all i see is what looks like a finger pointing to the connectionz at the end of the cylinder? Thanks for the video.
That is the seal or seal example. The video is saying how the seal isn't installed out of the parts box. But it is sitting on the correct location! It still needs to be firmly pushed on to seal and locate correctly.
hi i have a leak somewhere on my astra as when im bleeding my clutch it leaks out the bottom of the box i have looked and i have a oring but not the larger rubber you show on yours is it the larger rubber i need?
My whole elbow has a play (loose) about half a inch. Is this normal or should it be completely solid. Slave cyclinder is inside the transmission, elbow is ride outside.
Thank you. Gonna try it. Have same leak. I replaced the bearing like a year ago didn't have any problem till now. It started to leak, but the seal is in that plastic elbow. Maybe someone knows the part number for new seal?
This looks like the one I have, exactly, and I have in on Citroen Xantia 2nd gen.. the connection seems to be widely used between manufacturers, Citroen number of the rubber is 215615 and can be bought alone, and the black plastic on the pipe comes with the pipe. but you should of course check your vehicle parts catalog if you are not sure
Just what I needed to know, nice one mate. One question, how did you get the elbow off ? I obviously lifted up the spring clip but feels like it's still not wanting to come off. Not expecting a reply, the video is 4 years old but you never know lol
@@boosthit811 Nice one cheers, I have an insignia but it looks similar design right pita, the clutch master failed, eventually got that sorted and then the problem moved somewhere else, fluid leaking from underneath but you could bleed it temp and the clutch would come back so not the slave so I am guessing it's this little bugger, thanks again you're a star.

Hello, kindly assist me, I try moving my car this morning and when I try to get it in gear it won’t even move but the reverse gear would make a very loud noise, but after a few minutes of turning the car back off and going back to try to move it, I put the car in gear before I started the car and it worked just fine. What do you reckon the problem would be ??
Yeah this happened to me, first and reverse wouldn't go into gear, so did what you did, put in gear before start and is fine. But weirdly it's stopped, so gonna bleed the clutch see if it helps if not possibly the clutch may need looking at, you get the odd cowboy mechanic who dont put the clutch in right. Hope you get sorted

Hey pal so how did you fix it . Did you just have to push it all the way in harder or did you buy something new ??
@@skottymacmac Hi there, just saw ya comment. Yes basically just have to push the seal on completely. Been fine since.
I’m actually a full time mechanic and this even helped me out 🤣

haven't tried yet, how doesnt brake fluid not leak inbetween the top of the line and the rubber?
My goodness thank you
They could have designed the pipe to fit in from the top. Its a nightmare working on the firewall and sometimes the seal gets stuck inside the master

It may have left part of it behind in the female end. Check with a pick. It should look very similar to in the video.
