Thank you for the great effort into detail for this process. It's helping me greatly to gain the confidence to do it myself 😅. Do you have any suggestions on lightweight pressure plates that have a stock pedal feel?
Hey @KevinVo now that you've had this clutch in for a while... what do you think of it? How much more free revving is it compared to stock? How's the grab point, and bite? Pedal heavier or lighter than stock? I need an upgrade to handle my Turbo, and this seems about the best option, without going to Twin Discs. P.S. Awesome install vid as always. Great detail, and explanation of what, and why you do set things. Only thing I noticed wrong, you say you're installing a Ceramic Disc, but then show an Organic Disc going in. I presume you just got the wording mixed up.
I am replacing the clutch on my 2014 BRZ. Since my car is older than the one featured in the video, are these instructions still relevant to me? I suspect they are but wanted to double check. Thanks again!
I put am xclutch kit in like this and now my pedal is hard as a rock nothing serious standard stage one street. I adjusted the clutch both directions and it either bites within 2 millimeters witht the normal press feel or its hard as a rock. Dont know why it would be that much different its not like i have a multiplate
Damn haha im not brave enough to do this myself and plus i dont have a post lift haha. 😅 but awesome detailed video like always kevin. Now do one on the sti haha
In the middle of replacing my clutch now! Really appreciate all the work put into making this video man!
Always happy to help!
O
Excellent video, probably the best out there for those that want to tackle this job themselves.
Very informative video. I’ll be referencing to this video when it’s time for me to replace my clutch. Thanks for making this detailed video.
Happy to help!! Thanks!
replacing rear main seals while doing this is also good.
Great work Kevin :)
Thanks!

Happy to help! The xClutch kit that I installed feels very much like the OEM one but holds a lot more power.
This is gnarly!
It's a shame you never see it otherwise.

Since it's been 4 months, how does the clutch feel? How was the break in process?
Clutch still feels great and I would still recommend it! Break in wasn't bad at all and it's handled everything I've thrown at it.
Is there any chatter like the notorious ACT Clutch Kits?
you should’ve gotten their ceramic twin disk. Best clutch for a daily🤥🥲
lolololol I thought about it!

Only way to learn! haha I'll see what I can do for ya haha
Man, Thank you for the very detailed video. I’m replacing my with my cuz this weekend. What state are you at? I would pay you if you’re close by
Happy to help! I'm in Iowa.
No lubricate of fork? 😢 All my trans goes wrong after someone forgot do that.
I just helped replace my buddies clutch and put everything back together and now his car won’t start. What could be the problem?
Did you figure it out?
hey man ive seen other people take apart the shifter from inside the car. Do you not have to do that?
You can do it either way. If you don't want to tear out the interior you can do everything underneath the car.
I was wondering how much cursing you had to use. Thanks. If you had not mentioned it I would of figured you were some kind of saint!
I struggle just like everyone else in their garages haha
Hey I think I've seen this before...(just commenting for engagement)
He hasn’t posted on his channel. But on the FT channel it’s posted
Always appreciate the support!!!
Damn 20min. Dealerships take 2 days at least
Haha I wish it only took 20 minutes
@@KevinVo how long should this take a mechanic because my tob is dying and I don't want to get hosed by labor costs
The number of times I cut myself working on the 86. Use gloves.
