Star Atlas Community Manager here! Lot's of heated and passionate discussion that I can seriously appreciate. Yes, we use the blockchain and no, that doesn't mean we're a scam. We're going to continue to work hard at proving ourselves as a serious, AND FUN, game. Totally understand some traditional gamers who are skeptical and I can't wait to show you guys how serious we are about the Star Atlas universe. We're ~18 months into our UE5 development and things are going to continue to expand at a very fast pace from here. Super excited! Oh, and, Star Atlas and Star Citizen are both awesome!
My SC fam is out in force. Why can’t we just let each game do their own thing? If you don’t want to just give the Team half the time we gave Chris Roberts cool. You do you. Now, I’m not an active member of Star Atlas (too soon?) but I’m blown away with what they have accomplished. I am open minded and waiting for a dream game…where we could have hundreds of ships in one instance. Even 300 per instance would be amazing. Then we will have two games…Star Atlas with their massive multiplayer server and Star Citizen with server mesh. If you hate this because of blockchain then you are gonna love the game CCP develops with that 40 million funding round to dev a blockchain Eve game. It is inevitable that we will own our virtual items. I want it to be Star Atlas to my core, but shit happens. This could all crash and burn in a week. So can Star Citizen. But at least in 2027 we will all be playing Starfield! 🎉🎉
Guys, loving the updates and all the tech demos, but is there a video planned soon about the actual gameplay, game loops, lore, economy, etc .. ? What makes me want to play a game is not these non-newtonian physics or high def models, its the actual game loops. Cant wait for an update on those. Keep up the awesome grind!
definitely gonna need some controller compatibilty. When we enter ship or vehicles and enter pilot mode, we should be able to take over with our controller automatically if its been set up. Controller Compatible please.
Holy shit this is a copy of SC. The control scheme is 98% identical. The power distribution panel is simply flipped upside down. It's almost as if you guys are making a crypto Star Citizen with crappier graphics.
So all football games that have been created after FIFA are also a copy of FIFA just because the controls are similar? Or what about FPS games? They all have similar commands and controls. So they are all copies of each other? Lol nice logic.
@@JoePro84 Come up with your own shit. Elite: Dangerous and SC have enough variation in their different control schemes. It's just like a bunch of crypto bros to just copy something and call it their own and then "whataboutism" their way to justification. They adhere to the "easy road". It's their whole modus operandi.
@@bitdick lmao your getting scammed 😂 they cant even afford to have on the house music this shit is copyright free and yall use crypto come on now talk about cheap af

@@Libertas_P77 another braindead cryptobro. This is nothing but a glorified single player tech demo with generic looking assets and no gameplay whatsoever. The fact that the FOCUS AND CORE of the development SINCE THE START OF THE PROJECT is CRYPTO and NFTs just screams SCAM with massive red flags. Does this "project" even get close to the scale of star citizen? no because Unreal Engine cannot scale up to support planetary systems and open space. It's gonna be nothing but glorified 8x8 km maps with loading screens to go anywhere. The fact that it's not playable AT ALL and there's already a maket with dumb cryptobros buying and selling shit for hundreds or thousands of dollars just shows how hard y'all got scammed. Star Citizen only requires you to buy the game and THAT'S IT, because you can get everything IN-GAME.
Take a little salt, a big pinch of ultra-simplistic physics, some spices from an ugly HUD and don't forget the most IMPORTANT ingredient of all - a 15-ton shipment of Star Citizen's Arena Commander.
NFT web3 gaming, like Star Atlas, is the next phase in the evolution of gaming in the following years. To know those ships (NFTs) really belong to you and not some company, is really attractive. Those very same NFT ships can be used on other games or apps compatible with solana as well created by independent devs part of the community itself. These things cant be understood by thick people who keep saying "nFt cRyPtO iS sCaM". The multibillionaire gaming industry is moving towards NFT web3 gaming in the following years. Also, just because game controls are similar to SC, doesnt mean anything. Similar games have similar controls. Football games like FIFA and PES, etc have similar controls. FPS games also have similar controls as well. So its natural that similar games like SC and Star Atlas have similar controls as well. Haters will always hate and get left behind in obsolescence. Keep building and going forward Star Atlas, ignore the small minority of haters, very vocal though, but a tiny minority. Just ignore them and keep advancing. Good job so far. ❤
freaking? On the contrary, we don't care about Star Atlas, they're just taking things from Star Citizen and modifying them in the worst possible way xD
Man, when Star Atlas get to a state that it is playable and has good content, I will sink in as deep as I have in SC - we just love space sim and if another game can bring to the table what SC have done, dude, that would be cool af. Untill then, I am just watching some cool videos with a turned down sh**ty music.
