2:35 My Olympian fig sat still for two years without growing an inch. No life at all other than leaves.... So I mowed it down.😊 My Peter's Honey is fantastic !! Brown Turkey is extremely reliable......😊
I dont think thats an olympian fig. The pulp should be dark orange, the frug is pretty big and taste like peaches, the skin doesnt get dark like that typicly only on one side it gets dark. The fig is brownish orange when fully ripe. Might be wrong. English Brown turkey types have some variations
You just described the first fruits from my Brown Turkey tree. They were huge too and tasted like peaches and my organza bags barely fit them. But later in the year the figs were smaller and dark purple.
great video thanks for sharing, that is not Olympian that looks like Mountain Etna Type figs (type of hardy chicago) they are producer tho and they come early ripening
Olympian is an english brown turkey type, the brown turkey ur refering to is it more likely to be a californian one? Thick skin with a very hollow center? And doesnt taste more than sugary and melon?
My Brown Turkey tree has very large light colored figs on one branch with no hollow. Large organza bags are hard to put over them. They go from green to greenish/yellow with a purple tint on top and black spots and taste like peaches. The interior is light colored with pink in the center. The other branches have smaller dark purple ones that taste like Celeste figs. I grew the tree from a tiny twig. My leaves look just like his tree and have the fig rust bad by late summer.

I kind of agree that it may not be an Olympian. Regardless it looks great and you like it That’s all that matters.
Well my guy at figcuttings.com has some explaining to do. No biggie.

Looks exactly like every Olympian just a little darker red in the center.

Nope no melon there.
