      I think that comes from arguing for an ideology, as opposed to examining ideas, principles, and outcomes individually. This is the same way that the guy who argued for patriarchy had the most reactive responses among the men. An ideology tends to have consistent and dependent principles, methods, and outcomes. When one part is challenged, it's a challenge to the whole. I think it's best to approach these discussions with the knowledge that no ideology is perfect, and that there will be valid critiques and grievances when the ideal meets the real. We're always working with incomplete information and resources. Issues are going to arise.

    It blows my mind how many women still believe the wage gap myth!

    • @sputukgmail
      @sputukgmail 3 дні тому

      There is actually a gender wage gap, it is just much smaller than was purported to be. When accounting for all other variables (such as if a role is full time or part time, years of experience, qualifications etc) there is still a small wage gap that can not be attributed to anything other than gender. It is only a few %, but academic studies and national statistics research do still show a small gender pay gap.
      But you also have to factor in the “tax on women” with things like tampon tax, meaning that the cost of living for women also tends to be slightly higher, making the effective “pay gap” bigger.

    As far what I have seen, women are NEVER told to control their emotions. How many men have had a woman wakeup being upset or violent because they had a dream that you cheated or you were violent( far more than you would think). I have also had a woman threatened to call SA when I said no. This was not a date, but a favor to help rearange furniture. When another person can say you SA me and that may end your freedom or make it impossible find employment when you have done nothing wrong. That is a real consideration when it comes to helping or working together at your job. I have had to pay for a child that was not biologically mine that was born during a marriage. I did raise that child and had him 24/7 for years, BUT there was NO consequences for her cheating. By the way at the point she was owed me for child support, she was "forgiven" without notification. As at this point we deal with each other BUT, the County, State, and Federal systems certainly inflamed the conflict.
    Are most women like this? No but, there are way too many that are.

    One thing I’ve learned just from being alive is that whenever somebody gets defensive about a topic there’s always a good reason for it. By good reason, I mean that something happened to them where being challenged is not just seen as a normal thing but a threatening of identity. I dated a woman who talk to me about how she was always scared of arguing with people because she hated being wrong. Her dad would always use any chance to get one over on her to make her feel stupid and it took her a long time to realize that most people are not that way. It helped that I love debating and would explain exactly what I was doing in any discussion we were doing. That probably made her feel safe to open up about that. But yeah, don’t get angry at people when they get defensive because there may be more to it than you’re aware.

      @thomasalberts4597 That was I. After watching this kind of content for years, I have no issue with open discussion of any topic under the sun. YT, however, does.
      For reasons unstated, they have a major issue with it. They have done all kinds of things to people who wade in these waters, most resulting in having their income delayed or witheld.
      This does not happen to creators of dangerous fake animal videos, depictions of violence, or pro-feminist content. Its clear that their riding on the liberal bandwagon is just virtue signaling because there is nothing liberal about censuring content. A lesson today's left has yet to learn.
      I think its unfair, undemocratic, and un-American, but YT is a private entity, and they can do what they want with no warning.

    • @sputukgmail
      @sputukgmail 3 дні тому

      Completely missing the point. The fact that a man would only respect another man, and she was treated as property at worst, a second class citizen at best, is the point. It shouldn’t /need/ her husband to be there for her to be not abused by men in public. That is the toxic side of masculinity. As a man, I have sadly seen this all too often when out with women - when men look to me for “permission” and size me up first. It is depressingly common - and I am likely only seeing a fraction of what women are subjected to.

    I think there was a case with Ruth Bader Ginsburg, where she actually defended a man who was denied assistance for caring for his mother. He was being denied because normally it would be the wife who takes care of older relatives, and the law was written to give money to women who are doing that not men. I don’t remember the name of the case, but I’m sure someone can easily find it.

    What do we think about;
    Changing how we interact with each other. Like, move from thinking about each other and therefore ourselves as just our physical bodies (men/women, color of skin)to we speak for ourselves?
    I have actually practiced being this way, i do not think of each other as men/women/color(only when describing each other physically) and therefore I don't refer to someone by there physical form> i say their name or describe that person/individual. Thinking this way allows me to truly be me and i can actually share my true voice! When people generalize like they are in this video, self gets lost and if we continue living that way who i am gets lost. I absolutely welcome everyone's thoughts!!

The second you tried to say asian lives matter as well you were said to be trying to take away attention from the movement. It was also built on a flat lie. Every human saying black lives matter know that a young civilian black male is a greater threat to my life than a cop of any color. On the topic of family courts, a lot of feminists (a lot of women in general) don't know the history of their own activism.
    In a patriarchy, such as those that still exist in parts of the Middle East and Africa, when a married couple divorces the husband gets full custody of all their children because he has sole financial responsibility for them under that patriarchal system.
    In the west, this was also the case until the mid-19th century when divorced mothers began to advocate for being allowed to maintain contact with their children after divorce. After.several decades of fighting for custody, the law was changed so that mothers retained custody of their children after divorce. At the same time, child support laws were introduced because the fathers still retained the financial responsibility for their children even if they no longer had custody.
    Initially, default maternal custody only applied to children under 5 years old on the grounds that children that young still needed to be breastfed (the length of time infants are breastfed for has decreased significantly in the past century or so). Further advocacy by women's groups then pushed this up to 12 years old, which in the UK is where it remains (children over 12 are allowed to decide for themselves which parent to live with).
    So when a feminist blames family court issues on patriarchal norms she clearly doesn't know the history of women's rights or patriarchy.

    It's odd that in one breath she tells him that she doesn't need him to protect her just not to harm her, and then in the next breath she says she can protect herself.
    Because the first statement seems to require men to exert a level of self control that *is* protecting her by default that renders the second statement moot. And she doesn't seem to recognise this.
    She's talking to him like he represents all men and his decisions on how to behave towards her apply to all men. I've heard a lot of feminists talk like this. Like men are a hive mind who all follow one another like ants and if one man decides something it applies to all men. And it has never made any sense to me because i can only control the behavious of myself. I have no control over the decisions and choices of other men.
    And the same applies to women. The decisions of one woman on how to behave don't transfer to all women.
    I wish i could work out where this idea comes from and how to get rid of it. Because it gives me as a man an expectation of a hyperagency that i don't have over other men. Or over humans in general.

    Listening to feminists and MRAs describe one another is often like listening to mirror conversations.
    She only hears anger from MRAs but feminist rhetoric is often full of anger. Anger they feel righteous about but too often can't accept when others are angry for what they also think are righteous reasons.
    Too much tone policing and not enough listening goes on in these debates.

    I think it would have been better to talk about what things Feminism gets right and what it is at this point starting to destroy... and that in turn explains the counter "Men's Rights" movement. Sadly, video series like the one the video came from is not aiming for a resolution, and all I learned it is far easier than it should be to find the extremes in any given topic.
    *Bea: Atleast seemed like she was trying to understand. I feel of the women, she was the best of the debate.
    *Alyesha: I feel like she simply can't be open to what men have to say due to her experiences she has had. I get why she has her viewpoints, and in her environment she is from, feminism actually is needed more respect for. I wish her best, hopefully she can forgive males as a whole, one day.
    *Mimi: The worst by a long shot. Her and Derrick were the weaks one up there for a debate. Mimi at one point was shutting down Kursat for laying out the ills that men have. That is exactly why a men's rights movement is a thing in the first place. In Mimi's mind it seems you can express yourself as long as you agree with her opinions.
    *Kursat: He was the most understand of both viewpoints, and he tried to be tactful in his engagement.
    *Zach: He did okay, but he should not have questions why Alyesha was the way she was. Kursat later answered the question aimed at Zach, but Zach could had focused on mens overall ills instead of sidestepping and putting Alyesha on the stand.
    *Derrick: He just sounded all full of himself. He brought up a few things, but he never went into any details on his viewpoints. I could see a conversation on how modern Feminism is destroying dating and marriage could have been useful.
    Anyways, Best to you and your family,
    Britt.

    Emotions are hard for men the only ones woman will accept is angry or happy. Being sad and crying is looked down upon. I have only cried twice in a relationship one the woman broke up with me a couple weeks later. I was crying because my friend died. The second was when Dad died I married her. So that a 50/50 chance they will look down on you so why take a chance. Lots time what woman call toxic masculinity comes when they are not attracted to the man but the man they are attracted to it’s sexy can be same things. A lot of men’s right group don’t believe men and woman can be best friends unless sleeping together. The man will always be trying sleep with the woman or wait his turn.

    I really wish these parents were better these days because from what I've seen all over UA-cam and tik tok and my own personal experience these women in my age bracket al they care about is what a man can do for them and not what they can build together and i never hear them mention any type of real emotional connections. There so 1 sided im 35 and ive given up ill die alone

It’s an incredibly insightful video into the mind of one the greatest comedians of our time and think it aligns with some of the topics from this video. Thanks for all you do fam, keep it up. Much love and God bless 🙂🙏🏾👍🏾

    Jubilee isn't that good. The questions asked are vague & don't allow real insights. It's too controlled & at times too much of an argument with no real discussion.

    No ,Brit and i love you and am very happy that you have a family that you can allow your husband to be the man.But the days where me were the head of the family because they were the man were not great for everyone.My mother was a wife in those days my siblings and i lived in a house under a mans rule.You idea of a patriarchal marriage only works if the man or head of the family is goid.To many times with power comes abuse physical and psychological.My father is his role as leader so distroyed my faith in a good man this even a man acting slightly like my boss makes and has made me run.so i guess what im trying to tell you is the good ole days were not that great,and yes my mother did finally leave but without help from even her family because the abuse we suffered was seen as her fault.Not the head of the families fault not all leaders are capable of being good leaders.

      I would love for Britt to do a single video detailing a moment where BLM was what she claims. I don't think at any moment from it's inception that black lives matter was inclusive of other lives. It feels like she just bought into the tagline, but from the first day blm was exclusive, and based on a lie that I'm not sure she fully sees yet. Highest cause of death for me is another young black man. You're going to march for my life by protesting cops? What about the demons on the corner? If you're not addressing them, your movement is a joke.

    If going do this content. it is good because it help understand you better. do something that has more facts like Jordan Peterson vs Cathy Newman. I will warn you it has lots of facts in it and by end I guarantee you will not like Cathy. My 87 year old mother watched this with me and she agreed with Jordan by end and caused us to talk about lots of points.
