she is truly such a kind hearted individual for helping out Jews despite knowing how she could have been arrested. I really admire her kindness

It is truly amazing what she did
I am so glad she helped hide Anne and her family, the Van Pels, and Mr. Pfeffer, otherwise Anne's story would never have been told.
    God Bless her
Thank you Miep, you are truly a wonderful person and it is extraordinary you lived this long to tell your story ♥😊😌

I'm sure Miep Gies is reunited in heaven with the Franks, the van Pels, and Mr. Pfeffer.
    May she rest in peace.

Most people don't think about or realize how lucky we are to actually live in this time. What I mean is we lost this amazing woman.... Human being. Twelve years ago but here she is immortalized in this and countless other interviews to share her and Anne's story.

This makes me want to cry. What a beautiful lady. You know, she is right. This should be the way all humans should be. We need to somehow get people to understand that an average person can do something big and powerful and in turn when we do the right thing, we shouldn't expect to be rewarded for it. Knowing we did good is it's own reward. I teach preschoolers and often times I have children telling me that they want to put a "Kindness Heart on our Kindness Tree." We have the tree up for kids that really go above and beyond to help out another child or a teacher. However, even though this is just Preschool, I somehow don't know how to teach that people shouldn't "behave" or "do the right thing" because we want to get a reward for it. I'm really unsure of how to teach that. But, Miep Gies is a living representation.

I understand that the point of this interview was to promote the movie, but I would have liked to actually heard more from Miep about what happened and about how well the movie reflects the story instead of listening to the woman who plays Miep in the movie talk about how excited she is to play a hero... I mean, the hero is RIGHT THERE.

RIP Meip! You are a heroine and an angle! Jesus and Mother Theresa are probably high-fiving you right about now LOL! Anne and the family are giving you long awaited hugs - - - at least I hope this is all happening :)
What an inspiration you are. Anne wrote of you often...you were very, very brave. There were many, many, many brave people during the Holocaust. I salute each and every one of them. To you I specifically wish the high-five's and the hugs :)
    God Bless You!
