thanks for keeping the project alive after all this time!! CCC is my favorite Fate ever and the thought of playing it without a translator in one hand was impossible for me. I'm really happy and looking forward to it
what do you mean by a translator in hand? is there a method to play it without waiting for this translation? Willing to go that far lol

They're definitely gonna be done before CCC's remake even starts.
We still don't even have a release date for Extra Record, lol.
A remake of CCC is never going to be made. Or at least, one that will also be released internationally, unless they get rid of all the lewd/ecchi content first. Which will mean doing a complete reboot, because that means getting rid of Kiara, since Kiara is lewdness incarnate and more.
Separating the lewd from Kiara Sesshoin is IMPOSSIBLE, not to mention it will ruin the game if it wasn't.
Jumping from Nero to Tamamo had me laughing for several moments XD

I just started your translation (fix patch) of EXTRA!
Ooh, have fun with it! Extra is still an amazing experience IMO. Although the hardest choice for me is always choosing between avatars and Servants. I would say my favorite combos are Hakuno and Nero or Hakunon and Nameless.

Damn if this video is accurate, then the translation release may not be too far now finally. Maybe 12 months at the most but wow, considering the game will be 10 years old by next year.

FYI, this game as well as the original Fate/Extra don't render correctly unless you use OpenGL. From the looks of it, you left the engine on the default Vulkan.
On Direct3D 11 here, but yeah I can verify OpenGL renders shadows correctly. OpenGL stutters very slightly every now and then for me, which got too annoying, so I take the incorrect shadows.

I recall there was a small team working on this WAY back in 2015, and stopped hearing about it back in early 2017... There was "news" in 2020 on Fate/Extra CCC's fanpage with over 9000 likes that they made SOME progress... Sadly, I don't think they barely even touched the translation's... After that, there hasn't been anymore updates, or posts from the fanpage, probably died out now actually...
Please, just PLEASE, this isn't something you'll get people's hopes up, takes a long time to translate, i'm talking YEARS, not just several months, eventually just give up, and later abandon the whole project altogether... This isn't the first time someone worked on this game's translation, getting the codes, and assets for the game to be translated is the easy part, translating them is a LOT more difficult, there were other games just like CCC that were being "translated" only menus of course, like Tales Of the World Radiant Mytholgy 2 and 3, they didn't even make an excuse, they just didn't want to bother translating the ENTIRE games lol. But this game's the more popular one to be translated for the PSP, so this is different, since it's part of the Fate series, you know A LOT bigger than the Tales Of series games... So...Yeah expectation's are high for translations...
Well... With that in mind, I really hope you guys can actually make progress on this old, and forsaken game that damn Type Moon lazy bastards didn't even want to make shit loads of MONEY from American's eh?
So I think there's some misconceptions here I wanted to clear up. We're still the same group of people from 2015, give or take a few members. There were periods of inactivity, but starting in 2020, efforts ramped back up with additional staff members (I joined on at this point myself).
We've been updating the blog here and there since with updates (iwakuraproductions.wordpress.com/category/fate-staynight/), but the important part is the progress tracker you can see here (kotcrab.com/progress/ccc/).
We released the Fate/Extra Perfect Patch with all the voice lines in the first game translated, and CCC is probably about 95% translated already. I've beaten the base route of CCC, in English, from start to finish. This isn't us just posting random progress of the beginning; we don't want to spoil the game, so we can't really show much past this. But don't worry, we're going above and beyond with this patch and are nearly in the editing phase. We'll get there!

I would absolutely go with emulation on the PPSSPP emulator with scaling and antialiasing, etc. if it's an option for you. Otherwise original hardware, I guess?
