Great tips, Laura, and thanks so much for all the other great content on your channel. I’ve been listening to a lot of YT podcasts and vlogs in Italian recently and have been surprised how much that has helped with my listening comprehension and vocabulary since I only studied Italian for one year in school. I hope to do the same thing in Catalan next year; I took three semesters of it in the early 2000s, but I’m worried that I’ll lose too much of it soon if I don’t start using it again. Anyway, cheers and Feliç Any Nou in advance!

I do 'Duolingo Catalan' (on Memrise, it's complicated) every day, just when I can fit it in. I also listen to an episode of your podcast every day, so thanks for that!

Thank you for the video! I don't have a strict schedule but I maintain a TODO list for languages. The TODO list items are like mini projects and I execute them depending on my mood. I'm constantly thinking about what would be the best next step for each language and when I get ideas I write them down.
Sometimes I like to watch easy videos - I have a private UA-cam playlist for Estonian for this purpose. Sometimes I like to challenge myself - then I play with Polish or Czech media cards. When I need to have physical exercise or to have my shirts ironed - then it's good to listen to Couch Polyglot Catalan podcasts. My only focus is my effectiveness in using the energy I have as wisely as possible. I think my learning speed is highest when I'm feeling passion for what I'm doing. So far good results have always followed after doing the right things long enough.

It is so cool to know my podcast is in the background while you iron haha :)
Thanks a lot for sharing your approach! I use to-do list in other areas of my life, but not for language learning somehow

House chores are the best time for content consumption, while doing the dishes or the laundry I can play videos and for the other things I can play a podcast. You're doing habit stacking which is great.

This 2025 I'm no going to english classes anymore, so this video helped me to decide what to do, since I plan to have a busy schedule even if I don't work (I will study and learn other things). So, I guess I will listen to podcasts and find people to chat with. Maybe in hello talk or discord
