Once had a job where I was forced to be more sociable and 'communicate' more often, which kind of had the opposite effect on me, where I didn't really want to talk to them anymore🤣Communication can't be forced if you want to be spontaneous... Cuando veía tus resultados y logros, me motivaba muchísimo. Pero con el tiempo, empecé a notar que los videos ya no estaban en español y dejaron de ayudarme a avanzar. Me encantaría escuchar lecciones estructuradas de tu parte, cada una con su propio número, para seguir una tras otra, buscando frases interesantes, giros del lenguaje, refranes, dichos, que podría memorizar... You can make an interview with a follower with specific languages interests. I, for example speak all the big romance languages because of some reasons, so something like that can be a good motivation for some people and interesting to watch.
Any longer-form content in Catalan as in a conversation with other catalan speakers about a specific topic, would be appreciated by many. There doesn't seem to be too much of that on UA-cam
Would you consider becoming a Patreon for that kind of content? I would like to post several videos there starting December so that new patreons already have access to several videos from the start :)
Yes, don't burn out! Put fewer videos out. Maybe go for something easier to make. Commentary/reaction videos, perhaps? I'd happily watch you speak Catalan about anything, especially if the visuals help me with comprehension. Your 'learn Catalan' series is already a great resource that's hard to improve on, but it's good to keep the channel going. I support some creators on UA-cam (very few) and I do it because I want to send some money their way. They've earned it. Don't feel pressured to create loads of stuff for them, they wish you well anyway.
i would like more videos about switzerland, the life there, what do u like most, more about your work in general. Sure thing also the language, what you have learned, you can also talk about "Helvetismen". Maybe you can also do regular spanish..

I would 100% become a Patreon if you offered videos about topics you enjoy and occasional grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary lessons about Catalan, all delivered in Catalan with both English and Catalan subtitles, and maybe the occasional material for me to practice with. Essentially the same format, but targeted to teach me Catalan. :)

Do you have a video in English where you discuss your entire German experience? Which tools you used and where you are now with it? I see one where you speak it in German with subtitles but not just in English.
The unfortunate fact of the matter is that on YT people expect a lot of (new) content, which is the way everything has gone. The less there is they tend to drift away. Probably not a small core of viewers, but channels are driven by views. Anyone using YT as a gateway to Patreon based output has to keep the door open. I'm not judging you whatever you do. I've watched your channel for years and enjoyed it for free, and I know it takes a lot of work to maintain content output. Maybe shorter videos on a focused subject would be easier to deliver. YT videos have become longer and longer, but as you say quantity is not better than quality. I hope you work it out.

If that means that my channel is less successful, well then so be it. But we will see! I think that if I have more time and less pressure to create videos, I might come up with better ideas that might interest more people, so who knows? Only time will tell :)
@@CouchPolyglot I agree with you. Your own life balance is more important. Among polyglot youtubers you are one of the most honest and realistic about the difficulties of language learning, that's why I am a viewer. So even if a video was once a month I'd likely watch it.
I heard in your podcast you wanted to make less free content and more paid content. Trust me, don't go down this road. In this life we have to serve people more than we serve ourselves, if you do this, 80% will switch to other resources, how is this serving people? Nothing more is needed to be said.
Thanks for your feedback, I will actually continue with free content and will have some additional content for patreons and members. A lot of creators do that and I have reached a point in which I need to monetize my project more or will be forced to go back to working full-time. And if I go back to working full-time, well then I will probably have to abandon this project altogether due to lack of time, so I think this is the best option for me. If that change is going to mean that less people will follow me, then so be it. I can not be a slave to my followers, I need to have my balance too
the decision is in if you want to persuere the dream faze of become a professional lenguague youtuber or just want to work as more something like freelancer. Really is the only thing you need to decide because the enigma between make more contant on youtube and left you donatiors hang drive its baisicly fast money or chase the dream without security
