I play this song in my car whenever I have a bad day at work and SCREAM the "Oh God you gotta shake it out!" part. It's amazing how much it releases all of that frustration.
I remember the day I heard this song on VH1 here in Sweden. It was 11 years ago and I was completely mesmerized by the guitar solo and the “aggressive” tone in the song. Still one of my favorite bands, even though I think their album “Mean Everything to Nothing” still is the best one.
the best singers are the ones that get lost in the meaning of the song that it doesn't matter that they change up a few words or miss a note here and there. the intensity and conviction this band has is inspiring.
God, I love this song. It is still as fresh today as it was almost 3 years ago now. This is a masterpiece, and deserves to be heard by all music lovers.
I love the camera work in this video. They could have easily just did the one wide angle with all of them, but there are some raw cuts that add to the overall awesome of this video!
I had a reallly bad day so i put this song on as loud as it could go and sang along while bouncing around like an idot n shaking my head around .....and damit i feel better!..... try it some time
@pittsburgh199 I agree. The problem with exposure is that the more have, the more your prone to make changes in the music. i.e. (Coldplay- Parachutes vs. Mylo Xyloto)
It sure is... It's such an underused instrument in today's music, most guitarists view it as the country guitar... Never mind that it WAS more of a jazz/blues guitar to start with, and now, with the right EQ settings and distortion settings, is quite possibly the best punk/alt rock guitar on the market.
wow.. that was fuckin amazing.. holy crap.. i fuckin loved that.. where were these guys hiding all those years? this is the first time I hear them.. I linked to this from another vid that was posted on facebook with the acoustic version..
its sinple but in its sinplicity its perfect i love the drop and the crescendo when you switched into i think 5 3 timing ddddd ddd ddddd ddd right i think nice the drum fill is perfect good job and nice screaming
@EastAcousticCapture That person is simply proving a point. If you have the right to throw in your two cents, as you're doing now, they do, too. You're the type of person that they were talking about. Be glad that this band has made it so far, and be proud that they have such an amazing fan base. Don't bash on people for sticking up for them. Just saying. *Gandhi.
For any drum nerds such as myself, especially gear wise, does anyone know if Jeremiah plays Paiste 2002 series all the way around? I cant tell. I know his ride is definitely a 2002 ride, but I cant tell about the other ones.BTW I miss his drumming, the new guy is good, but he had more energy live, I think personally.
Was it the top comment up there that I was referring to or has it disappeared? I have a couple of points for you to ponder over; Why are you bothered to reply If I'm so wrong? :P I like this band. I'm not who they were talking about because my original comment was to state that everyone already thinks the 'point' they were 'proving. If my spelling mistake was so minor that you knew what I was talking about anyway, why correct it? You just got parred...
@Omnitrix2008 lol... everyone makes fun of hipsters but they don't realize their own hipster "i knew em when they were struggling b4 everyone" mentality lol ppl are silly. you are 100% right! music is just about music... the more people you can share it with, the better.
Why do people call every overweight guy with facial hair Zach Galafinakis? I've been told I look like him way too many times, and literally the only similarity is we are both fat and I'm too lazy to shave sometimes.

This song is on my list of greatest all time. Helped me out through some rough ass times...
One of the best live sessions on UA-cam. Keep coming back here time and again.
Today!
By far one of the greatest bands of this century
the drummer has such..i dunno how to say it..BAM..he has so much BAM, its awesome :D
Hey! Cool comment. I love your playing man. What kit do you play again?
i love this band more and more everday. thank god there are still good musicians left in this world
I love how energetic and powerful this song is, and yet, if you were to put this video on mute, you would never be able to tell.
i've probably watched all of these vidoes about 500 times lol. still can't get enough!

It will probably be their magnum opus.
i never thought that an intro like that could be layered so perfectly to sound complex and emotional.
the best singers are the ones that get lost in the meaning of the song that it doesn't matter that they change up a few words or miss a note here and there. the intensity and conviction this band has is inspiring.

So glad this band is finally getting the exposure they deserve.
i love the vocals on this track. Great band. Very original sound.
saw these guys live, they are incredible. I have always loved this band.
his screams/shouts sound amazing live... i mean wow
just fucking amazing raw, intense but discrete at the same time awsome !
Feels like these types of bands dont exist anymore, at least not in sweden. Good vibes, great energy!! Love this song
Great song! Love the energy in this live recording, especially from the drummer. Terrific stuff.
Unsung hero is the bass player. Listen to that bass line. Sick.
I'm really addicted to this band. The song is effin amazing!
I love the camera work in this video. They could have easily just did the one wide angle with all of them, but there are some raw cuts that add to the overall awesome of this video!
These Myspace Transission videos are awesome
Saw these guys with blink-182 in 2011. Great discovery that night and I've loved them since.
Can't get enough of M.O.....refreshing songs plus they just seem so damn 'real'....not some egotistical, plastic band.
absolutely epic
i heard this song before i even new about this band, this are so good and i got to see them live recently
man i love their energy :D
sounds just like the CD amazing
I had a reallly bad day so i put this song on as loud as it could go and sang along while bouncing around like an idot n shaking my head around .....and damit i feel better!..... try it some time
Gosh this song makes me so happy =D
2019...
God this song is amazing.
God they sound so good live
the best part is that andy's tele only has the bridge pickup in it and its wired right to the output no controls purest signal you can get
This rocks
2:34 on to the end of hte bridge is just unbelievable music!!!
i thought exactly that. it gave me chills

Very awesome :)
They are fucking awesome.

Wow!!!!! genial, bersallesco, me conecta con el interior..........
Por fin alguien que habla español apreciando este pedazo de banda, son buenísimos
This is a perfect ad for a fender tele
@tailwhoop nice to see someone not call them 'sell outs' just because they got a little bit of popularity.
damn, i think more attention needs to be given to the bassist, the bass lines in this song have great feel and melody.
What's amazing about Manchester Orchestra is that they sound just as amazing live as they do recorded. Not like other "artists".
unbelievable live... incredibly tight. :O
the bass line at 2:55 is orgasmic.
Holy fuck that was awesome
god damn this band fucking RULES

Fucking amazing.
@mg618 the bass locks in perfectly w the kick and snare
6 people need to shake it out.
wow.. that was fuckin amazing.. holy crap.. i fuckin loved that.. where were these guys hiding all those years? this is the first time I hear them..
@mg618 yeah the bassist's rifts are amazing in alot of their songs.
i love the guy with the tambourines mustache
wow
Awesome, is there much more to say?
Omg!!! I have the same skull strap!!!!!
I wish the vocals were 27% louder this song is too good.
*WIN*
Didn't know that... Good fact to hear, that explains why the tone seems so strong, I assumed he had some sort of a mid-boost on it.
No matter how loud this video already is, I HAVE to turn it up louder at 1:54.
i've had a little trouble learning this song by ear. i think it's a half step down. anyone have any pointers?
@EastAcousticCapture That person is simply proving a point. If you have the right to throw in your two cents, as you're doing now, they do, too. @NextRevGen no it's not him. The one from hangover is Zach Galifianakis.
For any drum nerds such as myself, especially gear wise, does anyone know if Jeremiah plays Paiste 2002 series all the way around? I cant tell. best Manchester Orchestra song ever?
1:34 Andy almost said
"We Shall see" Instead of "We will see"
Great song anyways.
Anyone know what Andy's rig is comprised of?
more exposure? I like them they way they are.
dave grohls amazing.......
Damn. This band is bad-fucking-ASS!
Was it the top comment up there that I was referring to or has it disappeared?

You just got parred...
I MISS JEREMIAH! why did he have to leave the band :(
@watsupwithedarkside That shit's important.
quality shiznit
i think its the same place where Underoath records their stuff... im i wrong!? cause i think this is in atlanta...
@SomeMexican4 I'm guessing he meant 1:55 and yes..it is pimp..played perfect and punchy
@zakiemundo probably michael J fox... he tried to shake it out once... didn't work out well my friend.
@ 0:19 He looks so serious! Lmao
3:20 to end is epic
A tele into a Boss Blues Driver and a volume pedal into a fender twin (not reverb).
Well in their defense, they are in a studio. It is a pretty kick ass song though.
@Omnitrix2008
lol... everyone makes fun of hipsters but they don't realize their own hipster "i knew em when they were struggling b4 everyone" mentality
lol ppl are silly.
you are 100% right! music is just about music... the more people you can share it with, the better.
more than likely

You're handsome to me we should get to know each other. 💯😍
RIP MySpace.
i concure
@constantdrummr I'm not 100% sure but from the videos it sure looks like 2002's all the way around.
Who dislikes this? Wtfffffff man?
