I very much appreciate your time in making this video. Was having a similar issue and am still trying to diagnose the problem, but in the process of doing so I discovered my rim was damaged and needed replacing in addition to whatever the other issue is. I have kids and this potentially saved me/us a big headache in the near future. Thank you again bud!
Hey not too sure, try switching the wheel from one side to the other just to illuminate that. Could be drive axle or something to do with your re brake rotor, brake pads or the metal sliders the brake pads sit on.
I only hear 2 clicks coming from the driver rear when coming to a stop. That's the only time it clicks. Never when speeding up, always when coming to a stop. Same issue?
I just got done changing my front differential fluid on a 4x4 F150 because of this same noise. It was due anyway, but still, clicking. Now that I see this, I realize that I started noticing the noise when I had to swap out my tire for the spare (full sized, but on a different rim). This video might just be a lifesaver here.
Could it be the wheel tire pressure sensor that’s bouncing around I have the same issue but I have a 20 inch custom rim I did recently change the brake pads I happened taking the tire off because that usually only happened the first five minutes of driving and then it would stop now getting worse
I have a clicking noise coming from my car only when i start to take off. Sounds exactly how your car sounded like and I’ve been trying to figure out what it is also and can’t seem to find the problem
I had a bad rim, went to the tire shops they sold me a new rim and put my tire on the new rim, and now my car makes that’s same noise but just like 2 maybe 3 clicks only when I take off, I hope it’s just a bad rim Amd they can replace it for another one,
@@legion2910 It didn't fix it no. I also put new tyres on and swapped the front wheels with the back. The noise is still coming from front passenger side break area.
Mines is like a is more like a saw it’s driving me crazy I change axels brakes pulleys and still makes noise also when acceleration it makes a rattler like metal
I've got a similar issue ... My car, since getting new alloys and tires, only once I reach 50km/h (30mph) do I hear this loud clicking/tapping/ticking noise...I've eliminated lifter tick(would be heard on idle), not exhaust or anything to do with engine as I can rev it and don't hear the noise. Travelling downhill at 70km/h letting it go under its own weight, rpm at 1000-1300, noise will continue regardless of engine rpm. I'm stumped, no obstructions that I can see...I'm gonna swap wheels from front to back and see what happens if the noise moves I'm gonna be amazed.
Turns out it was the wheel weight and brake caliper hitting when they balanced my wheels they put the weights too close to the caliper, jack up the car and spin the wheel to pin point where it is coming from.
In the process of chasing a click around my nissan sentra , cv axles changed doin wheel bearings today, if it persists gonna try this. ill come back an let yall know what my solution comes down too aswell
do you know what the problem would be when i am stopped at a stop sign i turn my wheel *with foot on break* it makes a clicking noise but when my foot is off the break it makes no noise when i turn. I changed both of my struts and the problem is still their
@@dianacasey3411 really? Sounds as its coming right from the wheel and I only hear it when I start to move the suv, it doesnt happen every second. Odd how that would make a strange noise
had the same problem but it does not always clicking, only sometimes at random. coincidentally the tyre and wheels guys suggested me that i shoud change my wheels because it was dented badly.
Update: this man was correct. It was the wheel making that weird noise. BUT for mine it was TPMS that was rolling around inside the wheel making the noise. Yes the check tire pressure was on. But when it went on it wasn't making that noise. That noise popped out of no where. And tbh I didn't know why I didn't think about the bad sensor
My pajero has the same noise on the front right side I recently change the brake pads, tires, checked the wheel bearing and still couldn’t find the cause I think it might be the rim for me as well… I’m gonna try this

My issue was a piece of some rectangular rubber that goes into the rea wheel from the car frame I see no purpose of it so I just ripped out and problem solved

You just saved me some much money and time. I got both cv joints and bearings done and it still made the noise. Thank you so much
What a nightmare, that’s why I made the video I figured it would help people out
holy shit, i wish i saw this before i started messing with my wheel assembly.
great video
Thx
Same man thanks for making this video
Sometimes the clicking sound can be from wheel center hub caps grip breaking off and moving around in the hub cap
How would i make the clicking stop in that situation
I change my front struts didn't solve the issue. I ll try this.
Thanks for making this vdo.
i have this same sound problem when driving slow or starting to accelerate! from the front left tire
How do you fix it
Hi. Just want to ask your opinion. I have sort of a same clicking noise but intermittent. Multiple mechanics cant figure out where the issue is.

Btw where is the crack located on your wheel?

My 08 Dodge Grand caravan makes the same noise wen driving slow or faster after I had the whole front cv axle replaced.... What did u do exactly??

@@legion2910 it was the cv axle
@@seriousnecrowas it loose or what? I fully rebuilt cv axle so shouldn’t be failing.
Nice vid. I will factor this into my troubleshooting.

I have the same problem. Thank you.
Had a clicking problem on my 2011 dodge caravan similar to the one in this video and it was the stick on wheel weights that balance the tire
