Hi Melissa, thank you for providing such thorough video resources. I was hoping you could help me build an AM/PM routine? I have dry skin, living in California where humidity is about 55%, and lastly I am looking to hydrate and clear very mild acne/hyperpigmentation. What i have currently available to me are:
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1
Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser
Matcha, Hemp Seed Oil, Sodium PCA
Krave Beauty Kale-Lalu-yAHA - Gentle AHA exfoliator
    5.25% Glycolic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid
    3 "The Ordinary" Serums
    -Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
    -Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
    -Retinol 1% in Squalane
Trader Joe's Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion with SPF 15
Sun Bum Original SPF 50 Sunscreen Face Lotion
PS: I just finished watching your Hyaluronic Acid video on wet/damp skin, and hoping your advice will help me recover from over drying my skin!!

      Hey! :)
I recommend watching the following videos:
Order of Application And Layering For Skincare with Infographics, Waiting Times, and Example Routines: ua-cam.com/video/ADWu7oSBLFc/v-deo.html
How to use The Ordinary Niacinamide and Zinc Serum: ua-cam.com/video/PhVRhMplqTY/v-deo.html
How to use The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane: ua-cam.com/video/FRio8uuyMCQ/v-deo.html
Hyaluronic Acid can be used daily in the AM and PM; it's a hydrating serum and does not have any conflicts :)

So i got the ordinary glycolic acid toner and plan to use it 3 times a week at night for acne and black spots, also i use niacinamide serum from balance active formula and hyaluronic acid serum together below is the routine breakdown, do you think the order is correct and will they all work together
    Cerave foaming Cleanser
    Glycolic toner
    Rose water
    Hyaluronic acid serum
    Niacinamide Serum

      Hey! :)
Overall, the order of application looks good. However, why did you choose Glycolic Acid for your acne and blackheads and not Salicylic Acid (BHA)? Also, depending on how stubborn your blackheads may be, I recommend extracting them with an extraction tool from time to time and then maintaining it with the exfoliant.

Oh okay! :) Just avoid using too many exfoliating acid products in one routine, as this can overwhelm the skin, leading to sensitivities. Still, it also depends on the overall formulation and your skin tolerance.

I recommend using them on alternate evenings, especially in the beginning, to see how your skin tolerates both products individually. Otherwise, it may lead to irritation. Still, it also depends on your skin's tolerance and how often you're using the individual products (or later on the combination-maybe).

Yes, you certainly can do that.
I haven't personally tried that specific toner, but generally speaking, I'm not a huge fan of L'Oréal skincare products. My primary concern is that many of these products are heavily fragranced, a practice I view as outdated in formulating skincare items. In my opinion, this approach tends to lean more towards marketing rather than actual skin benefits.

    MWF - glycolic acid, niacinimide
TThSatSun - granactive émulsion, HA, niacinimide.
Before granactive, I used the Retinol squalane 0.2% alone, which I think I like better.

      Hey!
Do you experience redness around your mouth, or just dryness, flaking, and occasional pimples?
I have similar concerns around my mouth as you do, but my skin doesn't react well to Glycolic Acid. It seems a bit too aggressive for me. Instead, I've found that Lactic Acid or Mandelic Acid works better for my skin! :)
When I experience dryness around my mouth, I just use a moisturizer there since the rest of my face isn't really dry. For the other areas, I use a hydrating toner, essence, or serum on its own.
If you're looking to treat your blackheads, you should consider using a Salicylic Acid Exfoliant or getting them extracted by a professional from time to time.
      AM (regular):
      Laneige moist cream cleanser
      CosRX snail mucin
      CeraVe Hyaluronic acid serum
      (Vitamin C Serum)
Cetaphil daily moisturizer (only where you experience dryness or skip it completely if your sunscreen feels hydrating enough)
      Sunscreen
You may also want to consider using just one hydrating product, either your essence or serum. Test it out and see what works best for you.
      PM:
      Laneige moist cream cleanser
      CeraVe hydrating Hyaluronic acid toner
      CosRX snail mucin

Hello Mellisa, I hope ur doing well.
I have oily, akne prone and uneven skin (dark spots) , I was told the clear set from The Ordinary was good with the ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution. (also to remove dark spots on knees, ellbows ect).
The clear set contains Salicylic Acid 2% Solution, I would like to know if I can use it with the Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, as Im familiar with the benefits of niacinamide.
Would it be better to separate them into am and pm routine?
Is this enough for a skin care routine or would u advise me to add/replace or remove smt?
    Thank you for your time

Hey! 😊 Well, you could use both exfoliating acids, but use them at different times. However, you need to figure out the frequency that works best for you to avoid irritation. You may also have luck with either Niacinamide or Alpha Arbutin to lighten your dark spots.
