I started stepping 5weeks ago, ppr went from a 5.9 to a 7.5-7.8 on the normal now. Huge difference as far as staying down the middle, glad more people are stepping!!
Nice thats a crazy improvement
I step for the same reason as other, momentum, effortless throw and hoping for better accuracy. I hadn't tried the mini step until seeing this video and it does feel even more smooth. One of the things I have struggled with on the step is the shift in weight from one side to the other. I feel like with the mini step, I can start with the weight on the same side as it ends, so that might be a plus in that my shoulder level doesn't change. I'm going to give that a shot. Good vid as usual!
Try it and let me know what u think
I have been playing for a year now and always thought the idea of stepping put extra components In play that could go wrong.
But after watching this and giving it a go I really like it. The leg movement saves me from having to throw so hard and also has helped me get more into a rhythm. It also makes throwing bags seem less mundane and slows my pace down in between bags. Thanks for sharing this!
I like this 30-day trial step, I think I'm gonna do the same thing and see if it improves my game
To step or not to step, a true cornundrum 🌽
I was actually wondering this recently because I step but others I play with don’t. Glad to know I’m not doing anything wrong. Awesome video man 👍🏼
Can't wait to see what you find out! I'm pretty new to cornhole. I started a few months back competing locally. I was stepping and then stopped. But haven't decided if I want to go back to stepping.
My spr is low because I have barley played any tournaments and I have been focused on school and haven’t played a league since August but I have got way better.
Well done, Gunner.
I feel the step also provides for better rhythm since you are already in motion prior to the bag takeaway. I don't step for simplicity of movement, but there are enough examples of pros that do, don't have, and won't that it purely comes down to personal preference.
Small frame small arc players can definitely utilize a step for more velocity and less upper body effort due to the forward momentum generated with the step.
The front foot toe raise prior to takeaway is a minimal movement substitute for the step that provides an amount of forward weight transfer and rhythm benefit, and I do utilize that for those reasons.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you I agree with everything your saying for sure we will see after 30 days how I feel
I had a step in my game last year but I gave it up but I put it back in and it’s helped a lot, I have a cannon for an arm so the step kinda helps me use momentum rather then throwing it, ppr went from a 7 average to mid 9 in the last few weeks I’ll definitely keep the step in for now on.
Great video compa!!
Thank you
I love stepping I just can’t get consistent with it but when I throw it well, it’s MONEY
Ya I mean it’s whatever works pros and cons to everything
The step just makes me feel like I have better accuracy , and I feel it’s better for my push shots.
Yes I agree with this
Love the socks
😂
Looking forward to see what you come up with after 30 days. I personally went from stepping to non-step a while back and I have my reason. Curious to see if you'll find the same benefits and drawbacks I did for stepping, or if you'll have a different experience.
I am curious after 30 days how it’s going to be
What happens if u stay the same 🤔
That sock tan line 😂
I can explain 😂
Step or no step I believe it’s all just mechanics and having that same consistent motion every single time but who am I to say I’ve got in a rut and can’t get my ppr past a 6.63 average at the moment
nice, im a try stepping, just to experiment
Try it and let me know what u think
Same hand stepping has always seemed odd to me. It seems like the equivalent of throwing a ball with same side hand/step. Try it and you'll see what I mean. That said, it is an underhand movement and there are more than not that use it.
The funny thing is, any steppers (including myself) constantly entertain the non-step. The thing most will notice is that with the added inertia of a step, you don't have to throw as hard.
Thanks for the video!
Yes I have blown quite of a bit of bags off the back 😂
Those are some really white socks. 😂
Um 😂
I’m not a stepper. I tried stepping during a practice session and it was awful. Right foot step. I’m right handed. Left foot step feels awkward even tho I was a baseball player
