Ofcourse, they must repent and follow the technical advice to get married... BUT, she has to look that is he really the man she wants to marry? That is he really a good man, and can be trusted with, or he would commit zina again and again.. Hence, both parties must be careful. Besides, yes, both woman and man are equally sinful. They knew that this interaction was haram, and did not stop until Shaytan caused them to commit zina.
According to some madhhab. It's prohibited to marry a pregnant woman from zina, therefore the woman who commit zina, she need to have her period first to be sure that she's not pregnant. Or if she is pregnant, have to wait until the child is born, then the man can marry her. But there's a difference in opinion about this in some other maddhab.
