yep he solidified why hes hated today and proved everyone right. He has been on the fence of extremely passionate or having severe anger issues and after today he showed it was all anger issues.
That clip of his card disagreeing on Ricky's foot fault was hilarious. You can see on the one guy's face how much he is having laughing about it. Fuggin bullies lmao.
Always thought Nikko behaved extremely poorly, and handled his emotions immaturely, but didn’t know he had a big notorious reputation. Whenever he plays well and I see him on the lead/featured card it seems to be a waiting game. Wait for him to have one bad hole, or one bad break, he acts like a baby and his entire round becomes unglued. His body language is so unprofessional on the course, I can’t imagine what it must be like for those playing in his group. I imagine other guys on tour roll their eyes when they find they’re paired with Nikko.
I played a tournament on nicos card years ago in Chicago area. He was not having a good round. He threw a temper tantrum after every single hole and single handedly stalled the entire tournament pretty much. After each missed putt he would stay at the basket and throw practice shots. I usually ignore other players being poor sports. But this guy took it to another level.
Not cool to effect other players game with your personal antics.. That includes showing to much anger after a missed putt which effects another players concentration moments later.. Yes we should all be able to block out these external energies but anger nearby often wakes up the fight or flight reaction in players bodies.. once the adrenaline flows our bodies become harder to control for fine motor skills..I really think players like Nicco know full well the effect they have on other players and by not controlling the anger are exhibiting bad sportsmanship to the point of deserving a penalty..
@@jfoster2488 exactly and to be fair I do respect when athletes have that competitive drive but in this case there were like 4 or 5 complaints that came in from cards behind us and it was all because nico was throwing tantrums almost every hole.
@@jfoster2488 I think you are a complete loser if you let somebody elses emotions towards themselves affect your emotions. Maybe if ur just a local player but i highly doubt any of these elite pros let Niko affect them in any way and if they do maybe they dont deserve to be there.
Nikko came through my home town, Taos New Mexico, in 2012 when he was sponsored by Legacy Discs.. he was traveling around spreading the word about disc golf to the youth and he went to my son's school and was handing out signed discs to the kids and showing them some starter tips.. he's the reason my son and I have been playing disc golf ever since. Nikko is a CLASS ACT 🥏🔗⛓️🇺🇸
yeah, he has done so many nice things through the years and is a true OG of the sport. tbh, i feel like people who don’t like him..don’t like themselves…
I have to say, I wouldn’t want to be Nikki’s card mate when he’s having a bad round. It’s enough to be playing, without somebody attracting negative attention. I don’t hate him, but I do think outbursts are a form of disrespect to those he’s playing with. That albatross was amazing!
I played on his card probably 10 years ago in Chicago. U hit the nail on the head. He stalled the entire tournament with his temper tantrums after each missed putt. I respect passion for the game, just not at the expense of dozens of other people who r trying to play
I would love to be on his card. If he was having a bad round I would try to make it better. Do something unexpected, you see someone having a bad time, go outside the box and create a good time. Manipulate the shit out of their emotions, make them feel how you want them to feel, so that you feel how you want to feel.
Met him at LVC 2022 and he was super nice! Signed my disc and thanked us for coming out. Said we were super glad to see him and good luck and he said it meant a lot to him! Great guy.
My experience was different during last years preserve championship. It was day 2 and the FPO rear cards were starting to come through. I was standing with the Blue Ribbon Pines group who knew Locastro well. No one else was around. Locastro was following his girlfriend and he saw the guys from BRP and came over to reconnect. As they chatted it up one of the girls asked him to sign her baseball cap for her kid and he did so happily. I then asked him to sign my disc and he ignored me. Another girl in the group asked him to sign her disc and he did so happily. I asked him again to sign mine and he ignored me. He finished signing the girls disc and I knew I had only one more chance because he was wanting to follow his girlfriend. So I asked one more time and he looked at me and said, "no." Then said good bye to everyone and left. Hes a tool bag in my opinion. Maybe he has his good days. Most toolbags do but he gave me no reason to support him. He treated me with contempt even though I was standing in a huddle with his buddies.
There’s a quote from Paul McBeth about that where he says “I don’t mind if he [Nikko] takes forever to putt because the more time he spends thinking the more likely he is to miss”
@@williamhrivnak7345 Paul's right. I was at the NWA open a couple years ago, Nikko had a putt to tie it on the last round, and he spent at least 2 minutes icing himself before clanking it off the rim. I looked at my buddy before he released it and said "there's no chance he makes this. He got too in his head."
The sad part about the two foot fault situations is that he was totally in the right. Ricky was so far behind his lie, and it definitely gave him a better angle to hyzer around the tree. Barry calling him on a foot fault was just scummy.
Being called out for something I didn't do brings out the beast in me, I'll say that. You know where your feet are on a circle one putt no question. Anybody with a pulse would've gave Barry the business after draining the re putt
I don't think Barry does that with anybody other than Nikko. Honestly though, it's karma. If he didn't want that to happen to him, he shouldn't be such a nuisance to play with.
@@reidkemp Yeah, seems rule bending and fault calling was a bigger part of the game previously. Feldberg taught a class at the U of O that I took in 2010, he was a very good teacher - but definitely underscored knowing the rule book front to back, and using it to your advantage.
Damn F Howl. I'm gonna speak my peace to you as if Barry was here. Screw you too!! Barry is a Legend , your a thought. Perhaps when you win a World Championship or further more if you ever make it to the top card I might have a change of heart. Keep putting with your negative thoughts and you will have your own signature disc too signed. True Asshole. You should learn to Respect the forefathers of the Sport and maybe just maybe you will be something in Life other than a shadow. Fly On
I def love him .I'm an old lady that just started playing ( 2 months but obsessed) and OMG I'm so channeling this guy. I've had to work really hard at toning down my emotions when playing it's not easy. I've angrily slammed discs into the chains when I missed the prior putt, and I get super excited when I make a long putt or a good drive ( imagine Rocky throwing up his hands and running the length of the putt. I also say things like ' 254 feet' over and over for the next few days to anyone I can). It makes me feel a lot better to see I'm not the only one that gets so emotional. I'm very proud of the fact that despite my great age (about to be 60) and my only playing 2 months I've had a few drives over 250 feet and occasionally land some lengthy putts. I also now have this thing where I try to throw in my sleep and my arm jerks and wakes me up. Anyone else have that?
After his meltdown today at the European Open, he is, without a doubt, the most hated disc golfer ! He will receive a 2 year suspension and 12 months of probation, If he does not, then Bradly Williams will be calling his attorney.
I think we should let the people that need to worry about that worry about that. No need for everyone and their brother to decide what "should happen". There are rules in place, it is being dealt with.
It's not being delt with. Its still going on after all this time. He needs removed or someone should get someone to deal with it. If it finally takes a lawyer so be it. That guy needs his ass kicked too.
While I don't disagree with you, the Bradley Williams situation was completely different. He was already on probation after being suspended for a behavior violation. Nikko has never been suspended or placed on probation. Williams had physical contact with another player. Nikko didn't have any physical contact during his incident. Again I don't disagree with you. He definitely should be suspended, but if he doesn't get what Williams got it will be easy for them to justify.
I honestly feel bad for him. I don’t know what his childhood was like or what it is that makes him be so hard on himself, but whatever the case may be he’s a prisoner to his anger. He needs help. No one should have to live a life feeling this way about themselves. Poor guy 😕
If you're the only one who believes in yourself then sometimes you have to be hard on yourself. I don't feel sorry for him, I admire his ability to be more human than most.
I like Nikkos passion. I enjoy watching him play. Not everyone can hold their emotions in. I tend to rage here and there when I play below my expectations.
@@12to6 every tournament that I’ve played so far have had a guy or kid rage a little. I actually like seeing him do all that crazy stuff. I wish more would show their emotions like he does.
Feel like Nikko's just always getting hated on. Every sport needs that passion player and he's ours. He's been grinding for years you can't let a few outbursts discount his ability and influence on the sport over the past 10 years. He's a killer and will live on forever in the disc golf world.
Simon is passionate, that clip on jomez of him missing a putt then yelling you suck turning around and saying sorry but it's true. That's passion. Nikko yelling cuss words because he got distracted by the gallery and he blames them for missing the putt, sport doesn't need happy Gilmore beating up Bob barker and that's nikko attitude.
Nope. There's passion and then there's being a jerk. When he's having a good day he's fine but he has a horrible attitude and has been reprimanded during tournaments because of it. Not to mention he thinks vaccines are created by the government and are full of nano bots. He said this. These are his words
Speaking as someone who had a temper similar to this, I can tell you, I myself never thought I needed anger management. When it ends REALLY badly (and trust me, it WILL), and everyone tells you "up yours, you jackass", you may begin to learn
He's simply the only top pro acting like this in disc golf. You'll see tantrums from tennis players, golfers, footballers as well. With that said I don't think it is acceptable behaviour. But he gets a lot more flak simply because he's so visible in our sport.
He is not the only one. I was at DGLO this past year and Chris Dickerson threw his umbrella into the ground walking to the next tee. It bounced up and hit the guy next to me!
I was in a bowling league with a guy just like Nikko, everything he did was met with an angry retaliation by himself. One night our teams were against each other and dude was not having a good night, he fouled and slipped twice and guttered a few times but after a gutter he grabbed his bag and left lol. He didn't grad his 2 balls or his regular shoes, he just left.
Great video. Just subscribed. Was wondering if you would ever put out a video on philo brathwaite. I think he is a great character and great dis golfer.
You totally ignored the reason I thought he was so hated...the length of time he takes before shots. I'm cool with his antics...I hate robotic players.
Yeah i havent heard his cards complain, just people online crying that he is breaking the rules. If his cardmates are okay with him taking extra 30s on each putt then it is their business, not the viewers. We mostly watch edited coverage anyway and even if its a stream 90% is spent on setting up shots and walking anyway so why care about extra 10min on the card when the round takes like 3 hours anyway.
I would never condone his crazy and embarrassing antics but it’s more than “throwing a frisbee”. This is their livelihoods. How they feed themselves and are able to continue to travel as much as they need to. It’s super stressful.
Met him a month ago at our indoor putting league in St. Louis and he was very nice, signed some discs for us with a few pictures, and even got to play a bit. Great guy and an awesome golfer - we will be watching!
@@DougBartonLHS White Birch in Hazelwood has a putting league on Fridays starting first week in January for 8 weeks. Ended a couple weeks ago. Regular spring league starts first Thursday in April.
I watched Nikko give lessons to a random kid (about 11 or 12 years old) before a practice round for the StL Open. Apparently the kid caught wind that Nikko was going to be in town but didn’t have much experience playing. Nikko let the kid use his personal discs and they played several holes together, one on one. When the kid came back to the first tee pad where our group was still hanging out, the youngster laced one right down the fairway. He probably learned in a few holes what took years for a lot of us to learn. That was a class act move for sure by Nikko. I’ve had several interactions with him, and none of them have been negative. He has also worked with numerous elementary schools and has gone overseas to various regions to promote the sport to people that may otherwise not get a chance to participate.
What a great character... We all have our outburst and show it in different approaches. Maybe his over extension in anger may seem out of hand but, I look at it as his passion for the game. There's no other Niko. Love it!
I enjoy watching Nikko play. I have seen pretty much every top pro throw a bit of a tantrum or have a little meltdown at some point. It is nice to be able to control those things, but it really shows you how passionate a lot of these guys/girls are.
Wow. Bunch of fanboys here. I can't stand they guy. I'd be frickin' pissed if he was freaking out while on my card. Total unfair distraction/intimidation. His acts of violent behavior are basically cheating IMO.
Niiko is real. that is why he is so entertaining. if you get Nikko on film it is gold! i've had the pleasure (🤔) of filming him. he is great for ratings as this video will attest
I was walking back to my car at Ledgestone after the tournament was over a couple years ago and Nikko happened to be right behind me walking to his van when a father and his young son, probably around 10 years old, said hi to him and Nikko walked all the way back to the parking lot with them asking the kid about his game and what his favorite course is, favorite disc, etc. showing genuine interest in the young kid. Last thing I could hear as I went the opposite direction of them was Nikko inviting the father and son over to his van to probably give them some merch or take a picture. Love him or hate him the guy is a class act
Nikko is not a class act. He may do some good things off the course that not many people see but on the course, where everyone sees, he acts like a 2 year old brat that didn't get the toy he wanted. He has no regard how he impacts the other players on his card, he is selfish.
I think Nikko is a passionate player and has a lot to offer instructionally with his knowledge of the game. Very few can compare with him experientially.
He is definitely obnoxious, but so entertaining, and an amazing disc golfer. I've known him for quite a while and I can tell tell you he is a good dude who does not care if you don't get that from what you see on TV.
"Hated" is a bit strong of a word here to me. Sure people criticize him, but I don't think they HATE him. Maybe some of his antics but not the person. I'm a fan btw and really admire his dedication and contributions to the sport and even the drama he brings sometimes. Some people just show their emotions very openly, that's just how it is.
I've spotted DGLO Hole 1 the past few years. My first year, Nikko threw and it went a bit right, I thought I had an eye on it. I had a good spot on everyone's disc that day, but when we got to where I thought his disc was he tells me that's not his disc. His disc was white, the disc I led him to was yellow (still not sure who's disc this was). Instantly I thought oh crap, of all the players to have a mistake on... But then we found his disc (almost all the way to hole 2's teebox) and all was well. He definitely has a reputation. I think it's great though. Love the passion. In that moment mentioned above I was scared, but kind of stoked at the same time. Nikko does and says all the things I wish I could do and say. He's the voice of the rebels, he inspires the uninspired. He's everything you wish you could be in a man but aren't.
When I first started watching and playing I really disliked Nikko... The more I watch the more I learn it's all from extreme amounts of passion and not because he is a bad guy... Watching him on OTB skins and seeing him make fun of himself helped alot
There’s a noticeable line separating a fiery competitor from an overgrown child who lacks emotional control. He’s crossed it. Tantrums aren’t passion, they’re immaturity
It drives me nuts when people on my card loudly complain whenever they mess up a shot. It creates an annoying vibe and is distracting. Like we all have bad throws and mess up sometimes, that’s part of disc golf.
Who cares? It happens in every sport. The opposing team isnt allowed to whine because another player yelled at himself for a second. If you cant focus because of something normal human beings do then you have an equal lack of control yourself
Nikko is one of my top 10 maybe 5 players ever.. I admire his passion for the sport and I don’t need every player to be super zen Buddhist monk namaste on the field. What do I care he wants to air kick at the basket or slap the ground or say dammit? And he’s a great player. If he were to ever change then good for him but I like watching him play on coverage and in person just how he is now. It’s exciting.
He's a passionate guy I can completely relate , however when cameras are on me and I have an audience I contain myself. He doesn't care. Tons of pro athletes that get pissed off and break bats over their knees like Bo jackson. It's not that big of a deal really. Not the best look, but not the end of the world. I like the guy. Great player, super passionate.
Most of us had to learn to keep that shit held back as children. It's like he missed a stage of emotional development. It's very gross to me. (Especially because he plays a really fun game for a living) Like, he acts like a literal child sometimes and I can't give a great objective reason why that's bad, but it rubs me the wrong way to say the least. So I don't watch him, I don't buy his discs, and I don't buy discs from the company he represents. I don't know, I just hate the outburst-y nature of Nikko. I hate it in anyone, not just athletes. I was beat, berated, and boxed in until I had my emotions in check (and so were most people--that's a big part of growing up.) Why should he get special allowances? I'm sure he's a good dude. I would probably hang with the guy off the course. I just have no desire to support him or the image/persona he represents. Bottom line: most people with fiery passion suffered repercussions for emotional outbursts and learned to control them. Nikko clearly has not and I don't care to support that. Have you ever had a boss blow up on you? It's not fun. People usually just dislike that boss. No one excuses it as passion. I don't have time for people who allow their emotions to run rampant in their actions. Again, I absolutely don't hate him. I'm simply not a fan and I think I've reasonably explained why.
Of course he's genuine. People think he has no self awareness, but this is just how real people act when they are passionate about something. Those who bury these emotions and hide behind a forced smile are not genuine, they are probably lowkey total dicks like they perceive nikko to be
I think his immaturity is hilarious when he is playing. I’m glad he promotes disc golf but his temper tantrums are exactly what I wouldn’t want to show kids trying to get into the sport. He also bothers me because I guarantee that his outbursts during play have negatively affected the other players on his cards.
Part of the game lmfao lets me guess you dont play when it rains either its distracting and effects my play negatively 🤣 gonna be some weak ass beta kids
Thats on them if they let their cardmates emotions affect them, it is very normal to get angry at urself if you are an elite athlete. That is how most of them were brought up, to strive for greatness and perfection. He doesnt bother anyone with his antics, its all between him and himself. Also why wouldnt kids have to see it? You think they should live in a bubble with only happy emotion?
@@Epindary I think it is a little more than that, there is still disc golf etiquette and respect for your cardmates. And I'm not sure how you got that kids should not experience negative emotions from my comment, but no that's not what I'm saying. I think controlling tantrums as an adult is a little more accurate. None of us would play disc golf if it wasn't for the ups and downs of emotions but flying off the handle and acting the way that Nicko does is a little much.
@@Epindary saying he doesn’t bother anyone with his antics is simply not true. I would say I like Nikko but there are just times he has gone over the top and breached the professional environment that should be upheld with professional sports
Nikko does some annoying things like his really slow walk to the basket, over the top outbursts which are not a good vibe for the rest of the card, taking forever to putt, etc. His energy is pretty stressful and I dislike watching him play personally- as a side note he isn't the only player like this on tour, he is just the poster boy for it.
@@certifiedpet You think he's the only player that has outbursts? Think again. Brodie Smith brought it up in a podcast talking about how a lot of the top pros who have acted similarly or worse than Nikko. Sure it will bring some drama to a match, but I'd rather have some explosive emotions than a bunch of robots out there.
Really appreciate your take on him, his enthusiasm hooked me on him from day 1. Been sad watching so many as of late seem to take joy in trying to bury him, if they aren't careful they'll turn the sport into a Sally wagon golf clapper sport.
I’m new to the sport, but have played all traditional sports. His childish behavior is truly extreme. If I was on his card and he disrupted everyone else’s play, I would warn him once then punch the little weasel in the nose. I have learned that there are some people who that’s all they’ll really understand. Seen it work many times before, especially when they are that self centered.

This was just added to Locastro's wiki article: "Nikko Locastro successfully embarrassed himself, his sponsors, and especially his longest-running sponsor, Gateway Discs (owned by his Uncle David McCormack) at the 2022 European Open by confronting a PDGA ruling official who called Locastro on a time violation. Locastro is seen on video footage acting like a 6 year old, confronting and attempting to use his 5'3" frame to intimidate an actual grown adult man. This ultimately resulted in Locastro being disqualified from the event and lambasted all over social media for his childish behavior."
Good video. Sadly there is a few parts of Nico's game you didnt really touch on at all. In all honesty i would really like to hear an educated oppinion on his pace of play, since it has been something that many pros are complaning about and is technically also a rule violation. Secondly I think that hes language in general, and the amount of times hes swearing on the course is also something that could be questioned, espacially in a fast growing sport where pros always are looked up to
He is a great example of how you can walk the attitude edge and still be allowed to play. Much further and I believe he would start getting penalty strokes. We have a rule in our league. After the second penalty stroke in a round you can’t come back next week and you need a time out to refocus your priorities and consider others while on the course. You have a duty when you sign up in leagues to not disrupt the group. It’s an excuse to say some people can’t control themselves. They can. If they try and there is penalties if you don’t. If you want something bad enough you will control yourself.
Got to meet Nikko at Hornets nest at the end of the season last year. He is a stand up guy! He’s passionate about his sport and always gets messed over by the wind
We need people like Nikko in the game, it separates our sport from ball golf. Every card would be boring to watch if it was 4 Paul McBeths. Both are great players, 1 has no emotion on the course, the other is the happy gilmore of the sport.
Never hated Nikko. Always thought he had anger issues and things to mature on. Now, I just think he's arguably the most passionate player that wears his heart on his sleeve. And one of the most entertaining to watch. He's definitely calmed down as he's grown up. After all, he was only 19 when he won his first NT. Which was THIRTEEN years ago.
@@gorgoopiy4706 now after I've had a week to think it over and seeing your comment.... I didn't get a sense of relief or gratitude from it. I just hope he learns from this and moves forward a better PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE!
You forgot about his putting, which is the number 1 reason people hate to watch him play. But then again, if you added some of his puts in here, the video would be 10 minutes longer 😉
I love the fact that he doesn’t just go crazy on only his misses he goes crazy on his makes as well. That shows it is his personality to go crazy or be outward . I think he is passionate and wants to flow the rules. I don’t personally like acting crazy like how he does but we can’t say we have wanted to punch stuff before. I know I have been frustrated before. As long as he is not punch people or cussing I think it okay.
Statement Regarding Nikko Locastro's Disqualification at the 2022 European Open By: PDGA Staff Friday, July 22, 2022 - 13:42 At all PDGA-sanctioned events, all participants are required to adhere to the Official Rules of Disc Golf and the Competition Manual for Disc Golf Events. These rules and competition standards govern all aspects of play and conduct at a PDGA event, including player behavior. During round two of the European Open, following a time violation call, Nikko Locastro engaged in conduct toward a Tournament Official that the Tournament Director has evaluated according to these standards. Per Competition Manual 1.12.H, video evidence may be used to evaluate and investigate player misconduct. The video of the incident captured by the Disc Golf Network, in part, served as evidence here. Competition Manual 3.03 reads, in part: “All players must adhere to a professional standard of sporting ethics, courtesy, and integrity while participating in a PDGA-sanctioned event and when commenting to the media. Conduct that violates this standard is subject to courtesy violations called by players (see 812, Courtesy), penalties issued by the Tournament Director, and any further disciplinary action deemed appropriate by the PDGA. If a player violates the above standard, the Tournament Director may opt, in their sole discretion, to issue a tournament warning for a first offense (except as specified in 3.03.C). Otherwise, the Tournament Director will immediately disqualify the player. Actions that violate this standard include, but are not limited to . . . [o]vert rudeness or threatening behavior to anyone present.” CM 3.03.A and B. Additionally, when approached by Jeff Jacquart, PDGA Director of Competition, for further information on the incident, Mr. Locastro refused to cooperate or even discuss the matter. Competition Manual 3.03.B.8 states that “[o]bstruction of, or failure or refusal to cooperate with, any investigation by an official into the player’s conduct or the conduct of another player” also constitutes player misconduct. For all these reasons, Petri Anttiroiko, Tournament Director for the 2022 European Open has concluded that Mr. Locastro’s actions were overtly rude and threatening toward the PDGA marshal observing his card. Therefore, Nikko Locastro has been disqualified from the European Open. The PDGA Director of Competition concurs with the TD’s ruling. According to PDGA policy, Mr. Locastro will also be referred to the PDGA Disciplinary Committee for further potential disciplinary action.
When I first saw Nikko’s antics I didn’t like him. The more I watch him, though, and with the things I have heard about his struggles with anxiety, etc., I really like him now. He is an emotional player who sometimes lets his emotions get the best of him, and that’s ok.
"He's just passionate" Isn't a valid argument. Do you really think he is the only pro that has passion for the game? Give me a break. They are all passionate. The difference is that they are also well adjusted and don't act inappropriately during professional sporting events. Throwing tempter tantrums and having general anti-social behavior isn't passion, is toxic and negatively affects the other players and spectators. It is ok to have emotional responses during a competitive event, but It's not ok to have aggressive outburst that make other people uncomfortable because of it. If you think it is, then we simply disagree.
Okay some of these clips are like "haha I totally understand that feeling on the disc golf course" (the running on the tree, the staring at yr disc on a spit out, the superman kick to the basket) but I feel like the rest of it, given what we saw at the European Open is like whoa. Chill dude.
It is in essence poor sportsmanship and detracts from the sport. PDGA is making the players dress in a standard way but a tantrum is a tantrum whether it is in a pair of khaki's and a polo shirt or done in cut offs and tie dye tshirt.. Its not entertaining it's obscene. s

Who’s here after Nikko took his agression to the next level in the European Open?
Oh yeah!!!
Yup.
Can't deny that he throws some amazing shots, and generates 10's of thousands of views. That's why they ride on his name.

Needless to say I still got my ass whooped

Yeah but I think on the Ricky one he went about it the wrong way, he should have calmly brought it up instead of loosing his cool
Barry is famous for bending the rules for his own advantage
I don't think Barry does that with anybody other than Nikko. Honestly though, it's karma. If he didn't want that to happen to him, he shouldn't be such a nuisance to play with.
Unfortunately Nikko is not the kind of guy you would trust when calling a fault. That’s the problem.

I def love him .I'm an old lady that just started playing ( 2 months but obsessed) and OMG I'm so channeling this guy. I've had to work really
hard at toning down my emotions when playing it's not easy.

I'm sure it gets old if you're in his group. I've played with people who are mad the entire time and it makes it not fun
I honestly feel bad for him. I don’t know what his childhood was like or what it is that makes him be so hard on himself, but whatever the case may be he’s a prisoner to his anger. He needs help. No one should have to live a life feeling this way about themselves. Poor guy 😕

Simon is passionate, that clip on jomez of him missing a putt then yelling you suck turning around and saying sorry but it's true. That's passion. Nope. There's passion and then there's being a jerk. When he's having a good day he's fine but he has a horrible attitude and has been reprimanded during tournaments because of it. Not to mention he thinks vaccines are created by the government and are full of nano bots. He said this. These are his words
I think he needs to take some anger management classes.
You think?
Speaking as someone who had a temper similar to this, I can tell you, I myself never thought I needed anger management. When it ends REALLY badly (and trust me, it WILL), and everyone tells you "up yours, you jackass", you may begin to learn
Getting punched in the face just once would do him better than a year of anger management classes
When you win, it shows some of your character, when you lose it shows all of your character.
He's simply the only top pro acting like this in disc golf. You'll see tantrums from tennis players, golfers, footballers as well. With that said I don't think it is acceptable behaviour. But he gets a lot more flak simply because he's so visible in our sport.

I've run into Nikko a ton over the years in Grass Valley and he is all class. Way cooler than just about any of the other pros I've met/played with.

A lot of people hate him. 💯

I will say this... breaking a bat over your knee looks cool... you can't look cool losing your composure in disc golf.
Bo Jackson is the worst comparison lol
Most of us had to learn to keep that shit held back as children. It's like he missed a stage of emotional development. It's very gross to me. (Especially because he plays a really fun game for a living)
Like, he acts like a literal child sometimes and I can't give a great objective reason why that's bad, but it rubs me the wrong way to say the least.

We need people like Nikko in the game, it separates our sport from ball golf. Every card would be boring to watch if it was 4 Paul McBeths. Both are great players, 1 has no emotion on the course, the other is the happy gilmore of the sport.
Having a petulant short-tempered douche in your sport isn't the kind of differentiation you want.
McBeth look more happy IMO.
met him years ago in rockwall tx. super nice dude, passionate about the sport. love the guy, always will be my personal fav.
People keep saying passionate when it's more like anger problems and can't manage his emotions.
>He's definitely calmed down as he's grown up.
lol
Nikko gang. True competitor. Paul McBeth and some others have their antics and nobody really talks about it.
Facts
I don't even understand how this dude is sponsored? There's absolutely no way I'd want him representing my brand.
I've heard that he lost his sponsor's.
@@gorgoopiy4706 now after I've had a week to think it over and seeing your comment.... I didn't get a sense of relief or gratitude from it.
I've never wished negativity on someone, because we don't know what his private life is like at the moment. He could be dealing with something, idk.. I just hope he learns from this and moves forward a better PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE!
I found out that it wasn't him that I heard that lost sponsor's.Sorry about that.
I find him entertaining and he has game. I think people over react about him sometimes but I can see how some folks might not like his enthusiasm
He plays with emotion, instead of just being a complete robot like the others.
Great compilation. He's lucky he hasn't broken his hand. I think Eagle McMahon broke his hand punching the ground....
Statement Regarding Nikko Locastro's Disqualification at the 2022 European Open
By: PDGA Staff
Friday, July 22, 2022 - 13:42
At all PDGA-sanctioned events, all participants are required to adhere to the Official Rules of Disc Golf and the Competition Manual for Disc Golf Events.
Competition Manual 3.03 reads, in part:
“All players must adhere to a professional standard of sporting ethics, courtesy, and integrity while participating in a PDGA-sanctioned event and when commenting to the media.
High enouth beam could u suspend a hole on a chain and have it say up high eg 30 plus feet. And lower chain when put the disc?
Chill dude.
Love watching him play but he's such a hypocrite. He preaches love (hippie stuff) etc but than is super angry at times.
Havent heard that but im sure being angry at urself and showing love to others have no correlation.
Every Hippie Drives a Nazi Vw
Wish I'd kept the umbrella Nikko broke over his knee at the 2012 CVO, would be a collectors item now!

Had no idea there was professional disc golf and that it was this serious, now I’m down a rabbit hole
