Touching on the Disney subject; you stated that there are things you don’t want your kids exposed to or asking questions about. So In your attempt to shield your children (from love, of all things, when the bible says to love thy neighbours and to not judge people) is to erase a whole group of people. My daughter is 3, a year younger than your daughter, she has two mommies and has not been ‘harmed’ in any way by having two moms, nor is she asking any questions out of the ordinary for 3 year olds even when watching shows with inclusivity. It’s going to do more harm to shield your kids from something they’re going to see in the world than not. Disney isn’t the only company doing this and having more inclusion in their programming. Love is love, no matter what.
And if you’re just worried about what they learn on school then there should be no mention of heteronormativity in their teachings either, if you can’t teach about all family types, then don’t teach them at all. How do you think a kid with two moms or dads feels only seeing stories read at school that don’t represent their family type? Would be pretty confusing, right?
If you are truly Christian or just a good person in general you should love everyone regardless of their sexual orientation. Gay people are also your brothers and sisters. There seems to be a really warped view of what it means to be a ‘Christian’ here in the comments.
That doesn’t mean kids 4 years old and under have to learn about that or have it exposed to them through media. As Christians we love everyone, but we done condone every action people take.
@@ClementineHughes Disney has always been inclusive and if they are supporting gay rights then they should be applauded. I hardly think Disney is going to have a show or film meant for small children where two people are sexually intimate so what difference does it make if a four year old sees a man and man together or woman and a woman together? Unless you live under a rock, your children will be exposed to this anyway. I grew up with a close family member that was a lesbian and it made no difference to me as a child at all. What if your children grew up and came out as gay? Would you think they were going to hell? People are born gay so if you truly believe that god made us, then god made people to be gay. It’s not a choice
@@ClementineHughes but there are children that have same sex parents. That’s not going to go away. What about how they feel when they watch a movie and don’t see anything that represents their normal.
I appreciate this comment. As a Catholic I don’t believe everything the Bible says. It once said that having slaves were was OK. Obviously that’s not true. God loves anyone and everyone no matter who they love. I have family members in the LGBTQ Community and my children are going to be raised around them. They’re people I love to death. It great to see Disney show all types of characters.
Disney is a magical place filled with dreams and happiness, I don't understand your dislike for them? I can only assume that it's because it's becoming more cultured and open to sexual orientation like the rest of the world, just because they are moving away from Prince and princess dosent mean there isn't still a lovely story with a message and lessons to learn
I agree. Showing different lifestyles and pints of view are only wrong if we make them so. I think it’s amazing they’ve started to expand and are a lot more inclusive. I think it’s all about an open mind and an open heart ♥️
I think her point of view comes from her christian beliefs. For many it’s wonderful that Disney is expanding their brand to be inclusive, but for many it’s conflicting with what they and how they raise their children.
I have a question for Christians or people in other religions who believe that being gay is a sin. I am coming from a place of genuine curiosity and mean no harm by asking, just to educate myself. What do you do if your child comes out as gay? What if they explain that the only way they are happy is by loving who they love? Do you still tell them that they're sinning , even if they can't control their feelings? Again, I am not trying to sound mean or rude at all! I simply want to learn as I was raised by a Christian who didn't see it as a sin. Thanks in advance!
Are you going to stop going to Disney too? How are you going to explain to your kids when they meet another kid with same sex parents? How are you going to react if one of your kids is gay? There’s a saying in Spanish: “Por admirada te puede pasar”
No matter if you go to Disney or not they are still going to make money and keep making money. I think your kids are going to be exposed to it regardless and I believe it’s better to learn it from us their parents and properly explain any and all questions than for other kids or even adults to do so ❤️ It’s very unfortunate to learn that you’re one of those people that wants to continue to exclude people based on their beliefs/lifestyle to even boycotting companies. Although I’m in no way affiliated with the lgbt comm I can not imagine how angry and sad I would be if someone wanted to exclude my boys for being different 😭
We for sure have 2 different aspects on the Disney controversy… I’m apart of LGBTQ community and been bisexual since I was like 6 😂 most kids know if people don’t understand that I don’t know what to tell y’all lol. But I think people don’t realize LGBTQ is everywhere . Literally everywhere . People gots to get over it . It’s completely normal and you have to have these tough conversations with your kids . Tell them where you stand in that matter and with a hope and a prayer they will follow your beliefs if that’s what you want . But I hate to tell anyone this but if they gay … they gay lol never seen a LGBTQ couple in my childhood ever and liked girls since I can literally remember … why I don’t know but that’s been me since I can remember . And I’m a Christian ❤️ also my kids (8,4,3,7 month ) watched a show with a lesbian couple on Disney and they didn’t think not nothing of it lol they could care less . They kids yall lol Oo and I’m engaged to a man I’ve been with for 9 years and have 4 children together so yea lol that’s that lol
As always, love your Q&As and how open and honest you are about everything. It's so refreshing to have people like yourself on YT - a real life Mama who is doing her best for their kids and family ❤️ Thanks Kayla 😊
"I'm not just changing a diaper. Its deeper than that. I'm shaping the future." Amen. Yes yes yes. I feel like I never come across parents in my real life that see their job that way. Parenting always seems like it's this vaguely covered basics like feed them, clothe them, MAYBE put them to bed on time.. it's like how they treat their pets! They pay attention when they want their attention and otherwise they ignore them. And it breaks my heart in millions of pieces every time I see it. I NEVER wanted to be a stay at home mom. I couldn't understand how people voluntarily make their world that small and Isolated, while giving up their independent income. It literally seemed like a nightmare to me. But we had our son and even before he was born it was hitting me so hard that this child I was growing would be an adult one day, and how much it MATTERS that the next generation be better than ours. He was born and I would hold him and think, I could never let a stranger raise you 90% of the time you're awake for money. He got a little older and I realized how much of the communication gap between parents and young kids is from not being around them because I only recognize a lot of what he says or the jokes he tries to make because I know everything he sees and hears because I'm THERE. And the connection that recognition gives us is so empowering. And the differences I see growing between my kid I'm staying home to nuture every day and other kids his age when we're out and about is huge already, and he's only 3. And I can't wait to see that multiply as he keeps getting older. I can't wait to see his adult self that will exist because I stayed home and put in the time and tedious work now. I look at him and every day I feel like I see the future changing
About saying no to things which not aligned with our values - it’s hard and it takes sober look. Especially if we always thought it was big part in our hearts . And we basically have to find new things we cherish. But I came to believe it’s ok . PS I now disregard 90% of movies as opposed to watching all 90% of movies and it’s good for me ✨
I disagree, we are inclusive of all people and all types of families in my household. My son will learn about it all because I can't keep him in a bubble nor do I want to. Love is love and we are kind and accepting of everyone. We love and support the LGBTQ community.
Ofcourse We can learn about it but we don’t have to accept everyone’s choice as the choice we agree with. Just like you have the right to disagree with Kayla and not include her views in your “inclusivity”. . People may not like to hear hate the sin and love the sinner but people should be more loving towards that view, more tolerant of other peoples convictions to their religious beliefs. The Muslim faith disagrees with you. Kindness to you means kindness to the lgbt community and calling Christians and Muslims unkind for staying true to their beliefs. Your definition of love means permitting anything because “love is love”, I disagree, loving someone does not equate necessarily to what’s best for both persons and in fact that love can be detrimental so to accept that is not a loving act after all.
Thank you for being so open with us Kayla! For the next Q+A: how do you reach out to brands yourself and how often you have to do that? How do you know how much to charge? Thank you 💕
I am confused about the Disney issue, are you saying that you disagree with the LGBTQ community? I only want to clarify as I am confused about where you stand on that issue. I have watched you for a long time and you got me through my first year of motherhood and I love to watch your vlogs. However if this is your stance I can not support you any longer. I understand that if these are you views and I won’t try and change them as everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However we are all human beings and any member of the LGBTQ community is one of us and should be respected, accepted and treated with love and not ignored. I’m sorry if I am mistaken or have received mixed messages from this video!
@@humbledaughter2219 I understand that but don’t you think it’s important for children to start to be aware and learn to accept everyone as equal. They learn about other topics why is this any different?
Because we are speaking about 3 years old!?! I have the rights to decide when it's fitting for MY child to have this conversation with ME. Not every household is a shoe fit all so I'm standing up and my house hold doesn't need this "education" right now maybe one day but not at age of 3. I'm Mexican from California this has nothing to do LGBT community but has alot to do with stripping my rights away as when I want to expose my child to this kind of conversation and 3 years old is not cutting it. Beside THIS 32 YEAR IS THE PARENT not a teacher who half of time can't stand the kids in her class. lol do you understand the sensitivity of this subject and why it should be left to the parent to have this type of conversation with THIER child I don't know how else to emphasize this to people like you. But by saying NOPE, NO & NOOOOO. And I have a teen IK I have done a hell of good job running my house old school. 👏 👏 👏
@@elizabethm2593 if this upsets you that much, homeschool your child. I mean seriously get a grip. I grew up in the public school system and what I was exposed to just by other children alone was waaaaaay more damaging than this could ever be!
@@elizabethm2593 I was only clarifying what she meant as it didn’t come across very clear as she used words like “pure” and “prince and princess”. It is slightly unclear to what her view on that community is. You are entitled you your opinion and I’m entitled to mine. You are right by saying not one standard fits all as it applies to our differing opinions also. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t supporting someone who thought negatively on that community. No need for anger here.
You'll know when you truly get to a point you're done having kids. (I feel some Moms their husbands and them never get on the same page and sadly they never feel this inner peace:) I've heard a ton of Moms who've had this moment I will talk about... but before you're done you feel like another is still waiting, you know you're not done. However, when you know you're done, a feeling of peace comes over you. I have 2 kids just like you, a Boy and a Girl. Their birth order is flipped, a boy first then a girl for me. I had a feeling I just wanted the 2. Before my daughter was born it was like i could feel she needed to come I felt I wasn't done. Once I had her, I've had affirmations along the way and a feeling of peace. It's so nice, too, it's like "Cool, I can finish raising these kids and retire and relax," LOL. If you get to feeling you're not done, I truly believe you aren't done having kids. Trust your Mom gut, our Mom guts are intuitions are strong. I do have a feeling that if you wait a bit you'll feel good about being done, now, though because older kids are great. Not gonna lie when Jackson's 7 your life will be so much easier! LOL.
You are amazing, Kayla, for not wavering in your beliefs and your faith. That is so so rare these days and I am freakin here for it, I think the majority of us are. Been with you for years!! Thanks for inspiring me and chatting with me as I played with my daughter and had coffee this morning. Love your face too!!! 💕

I loved this Q&A Kayla! You are always my favourite youtuber 😘 My hubby rarely gives me flowers either, but when he does...it makes me so happy!! Also I had no idea about what was going on with Disney (living in Italy I hadn't seen that on the news) but...I totally get and share your POV. My daughter is 18m old and I get it.
I love your honesty and not being afraid to voice your opinion. I see a lot of “Christian” UA-cam moms and I see how they just go whichever way the wind blows. Good for you girl!
Funny how Christians preach love God and your neighbor but “oh not those neighbors” Unbelievable that in 2022 people think your sexual preference is a choice and that certain people should be shunned from a community. Disney is taking an important stance in this world and I’m not about to raise my children to shun people.
Why are you shunning the Muslim and Christian people for their faith. You are excluding us from your inclusivity. So intolerant and unaccepting to your neighbors of faith.
Why would that offend you if it’s something you’re already doing to others? If your faith doesn’t accept people for who they are, it might to time to reevaluate
@@lindseydelight Nope, doesn’t offend me at all, your over active imagination read that into the question. The question is stated logically, no emotion (aside from your own) involved.
Love you Kayla even if we disagree on Disney’s agenda. Have very close family members that are part of the LGBTQ community and my children will be raised around them. You have every right to your beliefs as am I. Much respect to you regardless

So proud of you for taking it slow and really thinking about your business as well as your role as a mother. You’re doing so so great! I admire your new interests and view on life in your season 🙂 You’re the best!
My husband and I are going through the convalidation process, too! We have a date set for this month just before our second baby is born. I found out during confession almost a year ago, that I couldn't receive absolution, or take communion until the marriage was convalidated or unless my husband and I lived as brother and sister in chastity. This lent, my husband and I made a promise of abstinence and I was able to resume the sacraments of confession and communion just so long as we maintain abstinence. If we "mess up", we fall back in to a state of mortal sin until convalidation and a subsequent confession. It's been pretty rough.
I'm glad you and Joe are proactively strengthening and protecting your marriage. You guys are great together. I'm with you about Disney. I think about it less as trying to change Disney by pulling our financial support, and more like "I'm not giving my money to people who are deliberately harming kids." Hope that helps.
@@ggh12345 I keep replying and UA-cam keeps deleting because apparently the truth hurts their feelings. Exposing young kids to sexuality is grooming. Plain and simple.

Totally agree with Disney. They lost that magic a long time ago and now with employees being caught for being involved in child trafficking. It just seems like they are quick to talk about and correct certain issues to stay relevant but totally continue to ignore the corruption that is going on and putting our kids at risk. I just know that recently instead of dishing out so much money to go to Disney and have to deal with crowds, scheduling, and stress, we use our money to travel to other places and sight see other places that this country has to offer.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Disney. Disney has always had more worldly views. I always had a hard time understanding why my parents wouldn’t take us to Disney as a kid, and now as a parent, I see why. We have canceled our Disney membership once it runs out.. makes me sad, but if I can’t safely allow my daughter to browse the app to pick what she wants to watch, I don’t feel comfortable supporting them at all. As a Christian, I think there will constantly be points in our life where we have to choose to give up things for our faith. I have made a commitment to give up anything for my Lord and Savior. I know you said you’re praying about it, and I hope you can get clarity on what you are supposed to do! Much love ❤️

Thank you for being so honest. I am a stay at home mom and with society now a days it feels like it’s not enough. With family I get a lot as they expect me to do more then be a mom. And I’m not holding up to their standard.

I agree with you and majority of this community on the topic of Disney. They’ve lost my family’s support. I must say this community gives me hope for future generations. We need to protect our children.
@Monica Geller protect on what!? This is not the stone age! We love in a modern society. Love is fucking love! Gay people are not evil! Whatever happen to God being a forgiving god?! The christian community is brainwashing their kids, and that is extremely dangerous and terrifying. Your kids will be surrounded in the LGBTQ community anyway so what is there to protect!!!!????
I understand this feeling. I was a working Mom for 9 years and we struggled so hard. I hope you are able to get to a better place! If you're a single Mama, that'd be much harder, I realize. My husband & I still struggle but I am in a much much better place now. I am able to stay home with my kids. My husband has a meager salary but it's enough to pay evrything. When certain things come up, we do struggle for those larger things... we often have to finance things like dental work or big medical issues using payment plans. But we have a roof over our head, and food in our bellies. I get toys cheap using deal hunting FB groups and I buy any clothes I can secondhand from Poshmark/Mercari. My daughter's 2, so I get her clothing bundle / lot and my goal is to pay about $2 a piece (even with shipping) if it's a dress my goal is $4-6 per dress. Hope that helps, those last 2 tips, maybe you do that already. Save whatever you can and if you're renting put it towards the downpayment of a house. Even if you only can set aside $5 a month, save whatever you can.

I'm out of the loop, not sure whats going on lol Edit: Kayla, if this is about not exposing children to LGBTQ scenes, I respect your opinion but disagree with you. I don't believe it's fair to only expose children to heterosexual sexualities in modern times. Children will see LGBTQ people in real life, so we should normalize accepting all kinds of people, even if you don't agree with them. Live life kindly ❤️
i’m not sure to which she is referring. i believe both. but disney is going to the “left” side of politics, and also involving lgbt scenes in the children’s movies. showing things young child would question way too young
The CEO of Disney does not support the bill HB1557. "The bill’s authors write that their aim is to prohibit “classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity.” But later, the actual bill states that “classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur.”
Just because everyone is doing something, doesn’t mean people need to “normalize” it. I’m so sick of that mind set, as Christians we live our lives for God and God is not for this agenda, it is a sin. So no, we don’t need to “normalize” it because our children will see it. We teach our kids what God expects of them and what he considers right and wrong. As Christians we do teach are kids to be kind to all people. Just like God, we love the person but hate the sin.

Can someone tell me what happened with disney? I dont understand what kayla said.
Exactly! America is so behind with these things
I strongly agree with you. Her video screams homophobia and racism.
@stressed of course Christians can't answer that question of course.

Wow, your opinion on Disney is not it. How sad.

I'm shaping the future."
Amen.
Changing a diaper is not shaping the future no matter how much you want it to be that way for your own egotistic reasons.
SAME!
Ok groomer
Agreed
100% agree
Kaylaaaaa thank you SO MUCH for sharing all of this and being REAL. Love your channel!

This has to do with teaching about sexual topics to children 3td grade and under!

LOL.

Unbelievable that in 2022 people think your sexual preference is a choice and that certain people should be shunned from a community.
Disney is taking an important stance in this world and I’m not about to raise my children to shun people.
Why are you shunning the Muslim and Christian people for their faith. You are excluding us from your inclusivity. So intolerant and unaccepting to your neighbors of faith.

I agree with you for Disney. And it’s so sad because there’s so many memories I have for Disney and what it was an my daughter most likely won’t experience that.
I’ve heard about Turning Red and some other Disney stuff… anyone else have the whole story?? I’m behind!
They were very against the parental rights bill in Florida aka “Don’t say gay bill”, which is a misnomer. Basically they support elementary school kids getting taught about gender identity, transgenderism, and different sexualities. And they had a meeting in Disney where they explicitly said they want to put more of those things in the kids shoes and movies they make in the future.
@@ClementineHughes so disappointing 😓
@@mandyhanson3372 why is that disappointing? Do you think kids won’t see their friends have parents of same sex. Are you going to ban them from having friends if they have a transgender parent?
@@jennyrodriguez4882 what does that have to do with school curriculum
@@mandyhanson3372 I’m talking about Disney including it in their movies. Why does it matter if they are taught about this in school?
If you move back to south FL why don’t you move somewhere less expensive? Pembrooke pines, Miramar, Davie, Coral Springs, etc. are all under or within an hour drive and cheaper houses. Close enough to your family and you wouldn’t have to make such a drastic budget change.
Broward is as expensive especially west broward. All same prices. I live up here.
@@elizabethcarballo2891 I live here too lol in broward and it’s definitely cheaper than miami..
@@tianalo6512 idk I’m your are but in my area west Miramar, Miramar parkway, west pines blvd is def the same prices and higher. Why I am still renting. Prices are insane even renting. My best friend cousin was renting a one bedroom for $3,000 I thought I heard wrong and wanted to pass out and that’s Miramar parkway.
Did i miss something? What’s happening with Disney? The kidnapping that’s been happening on the news? Sorry I’m so lost
Wow i guess im a little suprised at how expensive the housing market is in Miami, im right outside of Tampa and you can get a beautiful home of the size your in for about the same price in this part of Florida. Im about 3hours from Miami Beach.
I am with you on Disney- I don’t know what they are thinking !!!

Where is the rocking chair from?
I agree 100% on the Disney situation xx
What are the changes ?? She said something about watching the news are they making big changes I’m so lost but so curious lmao
@@jenniferarndt7993 no longer saying boys and girls or ladies and gentlemen. Now saying "dreamers of all ages". To "avoid excluding anyone or assume genders of anyone". Also, pushing more gay, bi, lesbian and transgender characters in their movies and shows. They are also pushing back against what they just passed in FL about not teaching sexual identity and gender identity to kindergarteners.
@jennifer arndt Florida has a bill that you can't say the word "gay" in school at the age of kindergarten to 3rd grade. Disney disagrees with that bill in supporting the LGBTQ community because they believe that children should learn how to accept others without judgement. Kayla and every Christian person on here are boycotting Disney
Love your sweater!!!! Where’s it from?
100% agree with you about Disney! So disappointed that they are doing this.
Can someone explain to me the direction Disney is going? I think I missed something lol
They are having more LGBTQ characters
She’s just a bigot
@Erika Martinez the Christian community are pissed off that Disney believes that children should accept people for who they are without judgement. Florida has this stupid law where you can't educate or say the word "gay" to kindergarten and 3rd grade. Disney disagrees with that law.
I’m so lost what movies and park attractions has Disney introduced that doesn’t align with your ideals? I’m definitely missing out.
Me too, someone explain please

I agree with you about Disney. I wanted to take our family to Disney for the first time, but now I’m rethinking it. I’ve also been considering getting a Disney Plus subscription for a while, but now it’s a hard no. Hopefully they get the message!
@ClementineHughes what message? Wait? Are people mad that Disney believes that children should accept people for who they are without judgement? That is just nonsense 🤦🏻♀️
I am very much the mother hen like you but I am the middle child(but only girl) so don’t know if that makes a difference
I also feel the same about Disney, still trying to figure out how we will go about it in our household 😭
Going to Disney April for my daughters first time I hope I can go in the future without it being an issue also agree but it makes me sad.
Im so confused about Disney, someone fill me in? 😩
👀 me worrying after you said you couldn’t talk about lovevery but calling them amazing 😅
I agree on the Disney thing. I don’t really want my kids watching newer Disney movies and certainly don’t plan on taking my kids to Disneyland/world. I appreciate your candidness on this topic. Keep standing up for what you believe in; it’s admirable.
What is going on with Dinsey??? Can anyone fill me in?
What is going on with Disney? >..
Hello Kayla.. love your Q&A videos and always being so honest about how you feel about certain things happening around all of us.. thanks 🙏 for answering the question about Lovevery and KiwiCO.. love your channel and your beautiful family 👨👩👧👦🥰
