    Best thing i ever bought, had one for 20 years, never let me down, easy to maintain and rides like a wasp on steroids, lol My mom gave it away when i was on holidays, instead of getting mad at her I went to a bar and got drunk. Watching this video brought me back to that time, only thing missing is the lovely smell of two stroke, lol Great video 🙂

    I love KDX 200's and ride one now....I'm 73 and all I've ridden for 50 years are open bikes racing desert.. I guess I'm a bit old for a lot of the big bikes now as I have a replaced knee, shoulder, both hands operated on, and more titanium in my back than a race car. That said, I'm surprised that anyone would ride(NOT DRIVE for Pete's sake!!!) a dirt bike without adequate protection. Shorts, tennies, etc....at least a helmet so he can save his brain and know how much he hurts when he goes down.....damn fool. I wish KTM was still making the 200 as I was thinking about buying one and NOBODY that has one is letting it go. Dunno what it is but 200's are very friendly and you can go anywhere with one.....no desert racing but great for plonking. I liked the big Husky and Maicos with 6-speed in the desert.....life starts at about 90 mph out there.

      Very cool brother. I'm 66 and use to race AMA motocross. My street bike is a Honda VTX 1300S and my Dual Sportor as we called them enduro is a TW200. I sold my KLX250 which I loved back to the guy I bought it from only because with my 29.5 inch inseem it was a little to tall for me to through my led over. These dual sport bikes sit much higher than my 1973 Honda CR125 or my 1971 Yamaha DT350 back in the day. I took up climbing trees SRT and DRT last summer. Living life to the fullest Tom.

      @@Billster1955 Keep the Faith, brother and Keep Riding. When I was young I sort of scoffed at the small bikes and now I have come to the conclusion that they are a heck of a lot easier to get off your leg, body, whatever when you have an attention lapse and screw the pooch and go down. I'd hate to have my Husky 500 or my YZ 465 eat my lunch at my age...they'd probably be putting me in a box and a hole in the ground now. Winter is trying to turn to spring now and it's about time I start getting ready for summer.....I'm 75 y.o. now and I am loving my KDX 200 or my IT 250 better all the time. Maybe this is the year Santa will bring me training wheels. Hang in there, young fella. LOL!

    I had a KDX 200 back in 2000-2001. I think it was a 1991 or 1992 model year. It was my first enduro bike and I learned so fast. Easy to handle, fairly light weight and enough power and torque to get around the technical forest tracks we used to ride. Eventually had to sell it because of going to college, but I will always remember those days with a smile on my face. Maybe I will get back to enduro again some day. Just wondering what a soon to be 50 year old guy would ride today? 🙂

      @@Taedoskii the powerband is only on 2 strokes... It's the point where your rpms are up high enough that your about to shift but not too high that you blow it up. This is where the bike will pull the hardest and it's what most 2 stroke riders love the most about the bikes mainly because it provides a quicker snap while clearing the engine out. If you don't know how to hit it watch videos of people racing and listen to the engine... Right before you hear the rider shift it will sound almost like a swarm of bees. There are 125 2-strokes that are faster that 250 4 strokes.... Why are you suprised how fast it is. This bike is just as any other 250. It doesnt matter what size the motor is, as long as it puts the power to the ground

    • @jasonhudson5861
      @jasonhudson5861 5 років тому +1

      Kaden Tomlin a 125 2 stroke is equivalent to a 250 4 stroke so yea with a few mods and maybe not any at all most 2 stokes will kick 4 stokes ass they just eat them up

    • @GeneralNOH
      @GeneralNOH 5 років тому

      125 2 stroke or 250 4 stroke would probably eat this as far as overall power is concerned, and a 250 2 stroke would be no comparison.
      Heres the but; the kdx has bucket loads of low down torque and awesome gearbox ratios, which is what makes them so good, actually better than many 4 strokes in this regard which is unusual for a 2 stroke

    That KDX looks like it has been well taken care of and lightly ridden. With only 900ish miles the top end should still be in good condition. I would do a compression check, (125-150 psi would be a good reading for this bike). and keep it.
