Brilliant demo and clear explanation of your sketch. As you suggested that we could let you know which finished sketch we prefer, I loved your sketch ‘BEFORE’ you added the cast shadow only because you had to cover quite a lot of your original artwork. However, I learnt a lot from your sharing of information. Thank you.
Thank you for this video, David! I've been struggling to learn perspective drawing in a way that suits my intentions, and this helped clear up some things in a simple and easily understood way.
So happy to hear that, Jank! There are more perspective tutorials on my website and this is the most popular one: www.sketchlikeanarchitect.com/blog/what-type-of-perspective-should-you-choose
Enjoyed watching your process. I am hoping to absorb some of this information - it's more technical than I would think to do but so important to the finished product. Thank you.
Hey Alexandar! Yeah, it was a fun LIVE stream! There was a lot of great feedback from the online community on IG so I wanted to share in a more digestible format also here ;)
@@DavidDrazil Frankly speaking it was. That live session with Amanda was awesome and educational. Thanks for that. It would be awesome if you do more in the future . Kind regards!

Loved your session in Sketchbook Revival 2021. I am going to enroll in your online course in the next few days. This is just what I need!
Thanks so much, Maureen! Looking forward to welcoming you in the course! ;)
Definately without the cast shadow. Thank you for the demonstration.
This finally made me get multipoint perspective thx
Man, honestly... You are simply AWSOME!! Keep the good work.
Wow, thanks a lot, Gabriel! Much appreciated ;)
Thank you David
You're most welcome, Mukasa! ;)
I think the one with the cast shadow in the foreground is better.

Thanks a lot for your comment, Vanessa! I totally agree - also prefer the 'before' version ;)
Beautiful sketch and a very good and complete explanation! Thanx, Mr. Drazil!

Thanks David! Very inspiring and helpful! 🍒
Glad to hear, Emine! Thanks for your kind words ;)
@@DavidDrazil It is better without the shadow in the end. It is really good for a learner to see the difference.
Incredible video! I'm so glad I found your channel

Wow amazing channel. I loved freehand.. support you bro..
Thanks a lot, appreciate it! ;)
Thanks for another great video, David (this time with some "greens" in it - nice!)
...definitively without the cast shadow in the way ;)
Thanks a bunch, Carlos!
Yup, the final cast shadow was a mistake :D no undo or ctrl+Z here, haha!
David, what is amazing about your art is that the work is already fantastic in the first third. This is really a gift ... for you and us ;)
Great content, already subscribed ♥️♥️
Thanks so much and welcome on board! :)
Definately without the cast shadow.
Looking at the direction of light you needed the cast shadow. May be you needed the gray marker. But, very nice sketch.
Good point, cheers! ;)
Thanks for the video. I like it better without the cast shadow.
Thanks for your feedback, Sherry :) I agree
I liked the presentation. The sketch
was better without the cast shadow.
Thanks, Ravi! I agree ;)
The sketch looked good without the dark shadow on he street ...
Thanks, I agree, S D!
With but a little lighter i guess
I loved this video. You did a great job in explains as you went ago. My thoughts on the shadow... better without!
Thanks a bunch, Angela! Yes, the shadow - exemplary over-doing it :D
Ps, I think is better without the cast of the last shadow. Greetings!
Yup, me too! Thanks for your feedback! ;)
I think the second cast shadows of the nearest barn took away from the feeling of depth you got from sketching in the road. It doesn't work for me.
Agree! Thanks, Adrienne!
i dont understand how/why you picked the second perspective point
Hi, which vanishing point do you mean? The left, middle, or right one?
@@DavidDrazil the left one. Why that specific spot and not further left? Thank you for responding btw!

@@DavidDrazil ohh i see, thank you for the explanation! Love your videos ♥
Calling your son ugly was not cool
Do you mean the 'ugly Sun' I kept as a reminder for the light direction?
