Getting into Freecad now. Looking for explanations and introductions here on youtube. I enjoyed your presentation. I feel like I would enjoy your take on other aspects of Freecad. If you've stuck with Freecad, I hope you'll consider making more videos on this topic. Thank you.

You can also reposition the WBs in the list in that same window.
The LinkStage3 development fork of Freecad has customisable pie menus you can add your frequently used WBs to.

Thanks! 🙂 I was just wondering what should I do since Draftsight aborted free accounts last year... I lost my day job also so can't use programs at work either anymore...
I have not used 3D much but I am really missing the sheet metal bend and flat pattern feature for making dxf cutting files... They had Vertex 3D software.
It would be immense help if You could make general guidance video about diy cnc today. Programs from design to cutting and what gear to use.
I have watched all of Your videos and I have been following You some time now - great content!

Part of my looking for new CAD and CAM software was due in part to my plasma table coming (almost) online. I didn't want the heavy weight of F360 when all I wanted to do was make quick adhoc cuttings. But I knew whatever it was, giving dimensions and constraints was super important. That is when I found FreeCAD. And I have to give a lot of credit to DonDIY. In one of his videos he was using it so I pulled a frame and saw the name so I gave it a try. For CAM I am currently using SheetCAM for the plasma. For 3d stuff I still use F360. There CAM is amazing. I haven't tried the FreeCAD CAM workbench yet. For completeness, I'll mention that I use Vectric products for more 'artsie' organic stuff where dimensions are not as critical. ~P
