2024...I find this interview ironic seeing the vast differences in Whoopi compared to k.d. The world, and myself, needs the sincere, the genuine, the honest of k.d. I am thankful she's stayed the course throughout.

I think k.d.'s purity comes from truth, honesty and compassion. You either have those qualities or you do not. And if you don't, you cannot fake it. There is nothing fake about k.d. lang. She makes me proud to be an Albertan..! Love her..!!!

She's a great artist and deserves all the recognition possible. The harping on her sexuality is surely unnecessary. It always seems odd to me that people spend time mulling over the private life of artists. Rather like/dislike them for their artistic output - but leave them some privacy.
A wish fulfilled immediately gives birth to another. And so it should, othetwise we stagnate.
In a world that stigmatises and murders gay people, we need to have our role models like kd. We need to see that gay people are beautiful, talented and successful. Not the abomination that the bible tells us.

yes. because Whoopi is so emotionally stunted. she is so limited. which is why she has been such a failure in her life. right? no friends. no good times. it is a shame Whoopi has been so held back by her own emotional failings and troubles. thank you for this. it got me thinking. and wishing I were more capable. or am I culpable? sometimes I fear I am just crostata-ed.
