hey NL, I noticed your desired treasury meadow shape is having rocks in the corners for only four blooming meadows. If you instead put two rocks on opposite cardinal directions from the treasury, you're good to put down six meadows instead, all of which will bloom.
I think the biggest dynamic shift is getting a library so you can reroll cards in your hand. That being said, I've always found meadows super stinky so unlocking forests is good too.

I've actually had to leave a pen in my mailbox to write 'not at this address' on stuff because almost every day I'd get mail for the old tenants of my apartment who haven't lived here for over 5 years now.
As a formal postal worker, this is pretty much the standard thing to do. NATA- not at this address, IA- insufficient address, or RTS - return to sender, or UTF- unable to forward are what are needed for the less-trained postal workers.
Also related to stones. If you wanna use stones and meadows, you can build around the treasury using only 2 stones the left/right or up/down spots. Gives you more hp cuz stones have a much bigger impact when it borders your mountain chains.
One thing I've noticed is that metal is one of the most important resources in the game, and there's only one consistent way to get it: letting your inventory overfill. As such, you shouldn't swap equipment for marginal gains in the early game, because those changes won't make a difference (you'll heal to full at the campfire in the first few loops, so there's no long term cost to waiting for a significantly better piece of gear) but will cost you some metal.
@@JMCAguiar the necro equipment, or rather it's special stats, scale so laughably bad, that I often use level 4 equipment in loop 10 because I get like +0.1 skeleton level or +1% summon quality (if I'm lucky and it's isn't just the same percentage even with a 6 level gap) but I lose the +1 max or the evasion or whatever. I've finished chapter 4 with over a hundred scrap metal because I just kept going lmao.

Not including the episode number in the title/description causes some problems when autoplay is on, or I'm streaming to a TV etc. Just means I have to go back to your channel every time to find the correct thumbnail. Just a lil QOL thing I'm noticing, loving the content!!
You can't wait 2/3 loops with spawning/encounter cards in your hand when you only have slimes on the board. You want to get as many tough encounter (individually, stacking encounter can be deadly early game, but a risky ransacked village can also make the run) as possible at low level to build good loot and then steam roll. You should play those vampire mansion on existing slime and those spider cocoon as close as possible to you camp, before you enter it, so they can spawn more creeps each loop.
NL, don’t hold the chrono crystals get them down immediately once u get them so when ur forced to play meadows when u don’t want to atleast u can get the bonus from the chrono. Love the series keep it up!
the checkered pattern of rocks and meadows around the treasury isn't the most efficient, the better solution is to alternate rows of just meadows with checkered rows. that way you save a lot of rocks you can use for adjacency bonuses and have 1.5x more blooming meadows in the same square space
Deserts & Sand Dunes are the best tile for Rogue because he can stack so much evasion that max hp doesn't matter as much, and with high attack speed he can also just outright kill enemies before they do any significant damage to him (at least once you reach 30-60% reduced max hp from all the sand dunes)
Hey NL, a tip for your mail problem make sure cross out the postal code along with writing RTS (return to sender) on it, that way it won't be sorted back to your place.
NL gets to loop 4 in 2 minutes because he has a plan going in. Rock? Adjacent. Meadows? Treasury. Loot good? Put on loot. Only downside is whenever somebody questions his plan, and he passive-aggressively tells them they're wrong for 20 seconds only to initiate the c pattern treasury pre-drop the very next episode. Love you though, NL.
my tips are always nuke the goblin camps 1st then the bandit camps 2nd, put spider cocoons on tiles that touch 2 or 3 other tiles so they naturally spread out, focus on tank with the warrior because you gain damage as the fight progresses (Defense>regen>maxhp imho), put 1 village/vampire village 1 tile behind the campsite so you get a hp boost for the boss.
I think the point of deserts is that it makes non hp percentage-based healing relatively better, plus if enemies die faster than you're able to loop more quickly. It's a weird one though for sure. I think they're only really worth it when combined with rivers because of what happens there.
the chage from dedicated videos to stream cuts is very noticeable in a sense that all the mistakes we normally point out in the comments are being noted by chat on the spot, good stuff
I had a warrior chapter 1 run yesterday in which I mainlined Damage To All and Magic Damage. I was able to fill in every square of the board (for which there is an achievement btw) and was absolutely just strolling through loop 17. It was glorious!
btw crypt adds max hp for every kill on an enemy with a soul, so if you're doing well in a run you get a ton of max hp on top of the full health res. You have to make sure to build your deck for it though, a lot of enemies don't have souls, the encyclopedia tells you which ones those are
@@inquiz9747 Like I said, just started out the game, so no real idea. I do think it's best on the Necro, as I like Regen on my warrior and rogue has innate lifesteal. But with the Necro, it's a good way to kill a lot of monsters fast for me.
Rocks/mountains and deserts/dunes only affect physical HP, not magic HP, which means magic HP users get no buffs from rocks/mountains and no nerfs from deserts/dunes. This makes deserts/dunes very good for rouge and necromancer, necromancer's skeletons also don't take wither effect. Arsenal unlocks helmets (damage retaliation stat, retaliation damage equal to stat when an enemy damages you) for warrior, amulets for rogue, and shields for necromancer. Desert/dunes apply wither, -0.5% and -1% health reduction for all creatures with physical HP, capped at 99%. Forests/thickets are attack speed buffs, +1% and +2%. Rivers are an effect doubler for adjacent tiles. Oasis are rivers + desert/dunes, river source cannot be used for synergy, -0.5% player and -1% enemy attack speeds. Forests/thickets and storm temple make burned forests, +0.5% magic damage. Rouge with arsenal and attack speed bonuses makes a _very_ effective build. This is furthered by wither nerfing enemy health, river's effect doubler, and oasis nerfing enemy attack speed. Quite possibly so effective it becomes overpowered, but this does require a decent amount of strategy, a good deck, and good card pulls, assuming you also have HP and damage sorted out. Honestly, the wiki is a good resource for this game, especially when needing to remember what synergies do what.
Loving the series! While there are so many upsides of pushing streaming vods to UA-cam, it really bothers me when chat tries to troll/gaslight NL. I wish there was less of that, but then that'd be wishing the Internet didn't exist, I guess.
Rogue and Necromancer both prefer having faster battles. Warrior gets benefits for going longer so lowering health of enemies helps far less. Also take Treasuries out when you are trying to beat the boss! Its great for farming resources but if you want to beat the boss having a smaller deck can help with getting you the things you need far quicker.
The oblivion perk carried me through the first boss, Was able to heal constantly in the last loop by destroying the lich buildings which also lowers his HP.
If you place any kind of structurea around the camp, the lich cant spawn his palace's. Thus taking away 40% hp and dmg more or less for free. Also a single blood grove eats 15% og his hp. But gratz on first victory my dood

Come on NL! You need to start putting more encounters at the start of your play. You complain on not having loot but you don't place enough monsters to acquire said loot. By the time you are facing many monsters it is already loop 8 and you have no good equipment, this game is based on snowballing. Soooorry for the backseat, love your content

Bandits always end my runs on chapters 3 & 4. It's just impossible when a group of them dodge your first attack and take an equipped item. Their camp is on sight with oblivion cards.
