But to make a long story short; They went bankrupt three times in the pursuit of polishing their game, first they sold part of the company to microsoft, second to gearbox, third time they had to release with zero advertising budget and when the developers asked for one, their two publishers basically went, "bro at this point you've gone bankrupt three times, release the game and we'll see how successful it turns out" It launched on xbox and windows store, and ARC game launcher (nobody uses these two on pc at the time) Once it did launch on steam, it wouldn't start up on systems with under 6GB, causing people who hadn't played the game to review bomb it (20% positive ratings) Its a truly tragic tale of a developer focusing on quality instead of profits and losing everything for it. The developer, Motiga has since gone bankrupt a fourth time and shut down. Many of the people who worked on this game will sadly not see a dime from this re-release, their names in the credits have been replaced by the new developers with a little "Special Thanks to Motiga!" at the end. Not that these new developers deserve any hate, they're doing a great job so far and none of this was their fault, it's just a little bittersweet to know that those original developers have to watch someone else succeed with their work.
Live service games need MTX/paid content or monthly subscription fee. People need to be paid to keep the servers running, create patches, and create new content. The $20 base game covers some server uptime but not a lifetime. Most successfully mmo LoL and WoW have stayed alive so long cause of paid fees/mtx.

Just wait till you play the main game mode Clash - it is perfection. With an ever changing map and capture points, and gorgeous scenery and upgrade paths. It is so good.

Right off the bat I feel like characters do too little damage. I feel like play time would feel like dragged out and boring if they increased character damage all around. But that’s it, it’s still the beautiful game I miss from all those years ago.

So we can play this game together on it's release on April 9th! Please, if you loved this game, if you always wanted to try it: Spread. The. Word. This game has so much love, care, and passion put into it. Worth paying $20, a spending decision I doubt you will regret. ♥

It had a fan base just not the funding. People like me played it heavily and was absolutely In love with the game. Sadly it was snatched away when the serves shut down. I would search up the name just to look at the cover art sometimes. The gigantic lovers have been waiting patiently for this.

If you have a new-generation Intel processor or a processor that utilizes efficient-cores technology, it is the best to disable the efficient cores from the BIOS to ensure smoother performance in certain games, especially for games that are made in Unreal Engine. This has been worked for me in a lot of games.

I remember this game almost as a myth. I played it for just under a week and LOVED IT! But all of a sudden I disappeared without a trace.

It's a game that existed 5 years ago that was great fun and had a loving fanbase but not a huge playerbase resulting in it having to shut down.
