Spelunky 2 | Things You Can Only Do in GOD MODE

In this video, I show off some funny things that you can do in god mode, which is basically just a setting that doesn't allow you to die. As usual, I'm using the overlunky mod. Link below (for pc only)

funny idea, put someone on god mode without telling and have them start a run and see at what point do they realize its in god mode

I actually had that happen to me once, cause my modlunky automatically turns on godmode when I open it, and sometimes I don’t realize it until later in the game lol.
Anyway I’m pretty sure I didn’t realize until 2-1 or 2-2 when a firebug sprayed fire on me and I was confused why I didn’t get hurt

with god mode on, you can teleport halfway into a block(at the top) and become a blood fountain. couple that with a script that replaces blood with something else and you're gonna have a good time

kinda weird to know lava has swim physics, although it doesn't work well cuz you sink slower meaning swimming up has less power

on a technical level lava is just reskinned water that kills most entities that touch it, the added viscosity is what makes it harder to swim in

Yeah maybe they were going to add some item which makes the player swim in lava safely like spelunky 1

1:26 this is probably why vlad's amulet isn't in this game. Although, it would've been really cool and helpful if it was.

@@airestith5309 CO is considered a huge part of the game to a lot of the community so I can see why thr devs chose to remove it completely.

It's interesting how you can swim in lava without normally being able to even touch it without dying, maybe the fireproof amulet was planned to reappear but they took it out because of how much earlier Vlad is.

worst about about this mod is that you don't get ragdolled from things like yeti and bombs... it would be really funny if you still got launched, but you didnt take damage
