Love it. I wondered how you’re solos always sounds so musical/vocal/melodic. Also this solo immediately reminded me of mountain time by Joe B so I’m glad you mentioned him.
If you learn triads all over the neck for a given chord and different voiced (inverted) triads and use those notes from the triads and the inversions of those triads to create solos,.you can not lose. Triads created from the root, 3rd and 5th notes of the key or targeted chord. Use any combination of the 1st, 3rd and 5th. Always taking special note of where the root (1st) is in every case. This was a great example of how effective it is !
Joey is so inspiring. Love this stuff. Just don't think that skipping basic theory is going to get you where he is. Fun stuff for sure, though. Love that tone, Joey!
So funny this is exactly what i have noticed weeks ago and worked on since then. It helps my playing a lot. It´s such a big tool for melodic and professional soloing.
Correct. Just wanted to simplify it a little bit and not throw around all sorts of terms. I’ve had good results showing people just 3 examples of something, so it’s easy and digestible. 🤘🏻
@joeyjooones Cool. After 40 years of playing modes I finally sat down and learned caged and am now studying triads to try and tie everything together so this really hit home!
seriously im a guitar player on youtube get no views and that stuff on your right on the screen what is it ? How do young people have professional recording studios in their rooms? I wish you lived near me I would pay you to help me set up even a simple one - Rock on you sound great
This explains why your solos have such a melodic sound and feel. This is very helpful.
That’s just a base concept, I go much deeper on melodic concepts in my courses.

GOATED
Hey Joey - awesome stuff man! What guitar brand/model is that btw?
It’s my signature model. By Nik Huber. Best guitar brand you’ll find. ✌🏻
What is the name of this backing track? Is it available for download? I can't seem to find it on your website
Do a quick lesson on inversions that would be awesome. Btw I bought your course and love it!! Thank you, Joey!
No, thank YOU for choosing my course!
Very nice. Your essentially using B major caged shapes, correct?
Correct. Just wanted to simplify it a little bit and not throw around all sorts of terms. I’ve had good results showing people just 3 examples of something, so it’s easy and digestible. 🤘🏻

Great lesson! I'm sounding a little more pro already.
Glad to hear that!

I thought the cheat code was pulling a face for a second
Pulling a “stink face” during a solo
…is always a winner.
