It is interesting that Joshua and Caleb, the two who believed they can conquer the land, were from the tribes of Joseph and Judah, respectively.
At the end of the book of Daniel, it says knowledge will increase in the last days. Thank you for the revealing it’s like water to dry and thirsty soul. With what humanity is facing today, Jesus is our only hope and our peace.
The book of Daniel says knowledge will increase, but it didn't say anything about the knowledge of God increasing. That is a completely different thing altogether. Considering Daniel also speaks of transgressions coming to the full in the same period, it is clear that the "knowledge" that was prophesied to increase in Dan. 12 is NOT godly knowledge.

The key is to think of different people in the Bible as prophetic Types and Shadows. People like Joseph, Moses, and David have characteristics of the Messiah.

Actually I found it confusing, and I felt he was trying to say that Joseph was also Jesus Christ s biological father, which is just not Biblical and I feel it’s like denying Christ s divinity, He was begotten of the Father, period., and a virgin, Mary, his mother.

Ben David is to rule as King David did, Ben Joseph is to suffer as Joseph did but the Messiah is a decendant of these two

I think that John chapter 1: 45 alludes to a position on the Messiah son of Joseph. "Philip found Nathanael and said to him, 'We have found Him of whom Moses wrote in the Law, and the prophets also wrote: Jesus the son of Joseph, from Nazareth!'”

I have heard some Rabbis say that there is 2 Messiahs, and the 1st will rescue us physically, and the 2nd will rescue us spiritually. They are close, but still misunderstanding who the Messiah is and what He does. Yeshua (Jesus) came the 1st time to free us spiritually, and He will come the 2nd time to physically rule and reign as our savior King.
Don’t forget he’s going to rescue us physically 2nd as well … “harpozo”

@marcellusdavenport We do get rescued at the Rapture, but that is not the 2nd coming. The Rapture happens before the time of Jacob's Trouble (Great Tribulation), and the 2nd coming is at the end of this period and before the Millennial Reign. If you look at the actions of the events, then you can see that the Rapture and 2nd coming are 2 separate events.

So, so interesting!! In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter to me, because I just see Jesus - Yeshua - as The Messiah and my Savior. However, what better way to "spend" ones life than to study the Scriptures delving into the "deep secrets" of the Word of the Lord that never, ever contradicts itself!! I absolutely love this. At first I was like “hold on wait a second “,but after we got the full explanation in this i find it so beautiful. He is the Messiah for all of Israel not just one tribe and He is Messiah for all the world. Also being of the tribe of Ephraim myself it’s awesome to see how my ancestors had a connection and role to play in our salvation via the Messiah.

😮 YES!!! This is what the Son of Man title really means! He is the Son of all patriarchs by blood and by spirit - all things are connected to Him! All things are a type and shadow of Him who was and is to come. This is beautiful doctrine. Thank you for this Revelation, our Jewish brethren!

It’s just miraculous how reading the Scripture through Hebrew eyes can open connections you don’t see when your cross references are chapter & verse not intersecting words
I have always thought of scripture as being as vast as all of the oceans combined, and even more. We all know there are huge amounts of the oceans that have never been explored, yet when something new is discovered, we all marvel and applaud the finding. I myself, and from reading several comments many of you, have only let my toes get wet in this vast ocean of God's written word. These men are at least up to their knees in studying and researching this vast ocean. They are sharing what they have learned so we all can benefit in knowing our most Holy Father.
I may be the only one on here who enjoys having my mind streatched when it comes to God's Word. If I don't like what is said, usually because I don't understand, I either put it on the back burner until later, or just enjoy what I have already learned. I also ask questions for clarity, but try my best not to attack people of much higher learning and knowledge than myself.
Thank you One for Israel for feeding this baby eagle until I am able to soar on the high winds.

Everybody needs to read his books, called Messiah, Ben Joseph, and his book called Jesus the incarnation of the word. So nobody misinterprets what trying to be said, they know very well that Yeshua is GOD

Messiah Ben Yosef is the Servant King, and as an archetype parallels the life of Yeshua as the Redeemer.
Messiah Ben David will come in the clouds; however, the Chasidics are still waiting for the Redeemer to arise from their midst.

I see Josephs suffering, in solitude, rejected by his brothers, prisoner/slave to foreigners in a foreign land, like a picture of the Lost Sheep of Israel who are still in exile/diaspora. The ones who have been rejected by their own (like the Messiah also), beaten up and left for dead, sold into slavery, "eaten by the wolves" etc.. BUT Abba upholds him (them) with His strong hand, his rightous arm and turns the evil to good, setting him (them) up in a high place in safety - as with the Messiah 🥰

Great to hear Dr. David Mitchell confirm the pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton as “Yehovah” and not “Yahweh”. I’ve put a lot of research into that particular topic, and have come to the same conclusion. I would love to see a study on how we know the vowels “Sh’va, Kolom, Kamatz” do not belong to the word “Adoni”

Ezekiel 37:19 is a good one. But I will not describe it as marriage. The marriage of the lamb is the body of Christ (bride) and Jesus Christ.
I think that there's another distinction between Joseph's suffering and David's; whereas David suffered due to his own sins, where Joseph suffered without a cause of his own.
This is false, and here's why: Psa. 105:19 says God tested Joseph while he was in prison. He wouldn't have done that unless there was a character flaw that God wanted to weed out of Joseph before making him the prime minister of Egypt. Joseph had a bit of a pride problem, and it shows itself in Gen. 37:5-10, 40:13-14. That is why God made the butler forget about him for 2 yrs.

Happy Sabbath, When I was a child God told me something I never forgot. Something Is coming in from space that will give men heart attacks and no babies will be born. Now I know it as men impatient with fear . Praise God
This has opened my eyes to so much in the scriptures! So many pieces are falling into place. It explains why Gen 37 and 38 intertwines the stories of Joseph and Judah. Now, the Lord had been showing me there was something special about Ephraim (son of Joseph) from Jeremiah 31 ““They will come with weeping; they will pray as I bring them back. I will lead them beside streams of water on a level path where they will not stumble, because I am Israel’s father, and Ephraim is my firstborn son.” I was wondering about how Ephraim could be the firstborn son. It seemed like a messianic title. And Ephraim is Joseph’s firstborn son. So if Messiah is Ben Joseph, then Ephraim also typifies Messiah! Then when God tears part of the kingdom away from Solomon he gives it to Jeroboam the Ephraimite the houses of Joseph and Judah are separated yet their stories are intertwined through the Kings. Then in the Messianic passage of Isaiah 11 it says this “12He will raise a banner for the nations
and gather the exiles of Israel;
he will assemble the scattered people of Judah
from the four quarters of the earth.
13Ephraim’s jealousy will vanish,
and Judah’s enemies will be destroyed;
Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah,
nor Judah hostile toward Ephraim.” Messiah will unite both houses of Judah and Joseph because he is the son of both, I believe. I feel as though I have just scratched the surface but it’s so exciting because I was just praying for answers this week and here they are!!!! Glory to God!

Wow. I had to listen twice just to be able to follow thinking about multiple messiahs. I've done in-depth literature study & loved it, but never this deep in the Bible or with the materials available for you, gentlemen.

On the lineage of Jesus Christ: I was always taught that 2 gospels give the parental genealogy: His legal father (Matt.) & also His mother (Luke).
Joseph's lineage was Matthew 1:1-16.
Luke 2:4-5 states simply Joseph was of the lineage of David, but then in Luke 3:23-38, Mary's lineage is given past Abraham, back to Adam.
There are major differences in Luke & Matthew's linages, which is attributed to the differences of Joseph & Mary.
I will watch the 1st podcast and then relisten to this 2nd one. Both with my Bible open!!

Luke doesn't give Mary's genealogy. He gives Joseph's genealogy from Nathan. If you want to know more, read "Jesus: The Incarnation of the Word" (2021)

@@davidmitchell265 i heard of a possible explanation to the different genealogies, which really made a lot of sense to me. It says that Solomon probably had relations with his brother's (Nathan) wife after his death. This would be possible following a levitical law, that says that if someone (a man) dies without leaving any descendants, the brother of this person (that died) is supposed to sleep with the person's wife. That would then mean that Solomon slept with Nathan's wife to give him descendance. Like this Yeshua would be biologically from David's and Solomon's line, but legally from Nathan's line. This makes a lot of sense

Definitely needs a deeper study. I've grown up being told both parents lineage were presented since the father is the legal line, but in Jesus case, being a virgin, Mary's line would be important to be included. Some of the great modern theologians hold this view. But I've looked up the book & asked my library to send for it. Again, thank you!

Wow my mind has just been blown! Thank you! Also, remember that the only two who entered the promise land from the ones that came out of Egypt were Caleb and Joshua. Caleb comes from the tribe of Judah (his father was actually a convert) and Joshua comes from the tribe of Ephraim which is from Joseph. These two were the only two who entered from the original ones that came out, everyone else was born in the desert.
And I also I believe Moses (from the line of Aaron) also entered. Hear me out before you make a decision…when God tells Moses to go up the mountain to see the promise land, God tells him to look in all directions. Think about it, if your up on a hill and you’re looking at all directions, then you are standing right smack in the middle of the promise land.
So so revealing son of David and son of Joseph. And Mary is from both, the Kings side and from the Priest side. So Jesus is both KING AND PRIEST. SO TRUE AS PER THE SCRIPTURES 🙏🏻❤️
I have learned much from these presentations! This is my 3rd time watching through it! But I wanted to share something that I'm not sure I have commented on just yet.
I believe these Scriptures make the Messiah Son of Joseph becoming the Messiah Son of David ever so clearer. Please bear in mind, I did not go searching for these texts. This just came up during my devotional reading one morning, and the timing was perfect because your first video on this topic had just come out!!!
Please note the following prophecy:
Ezekiel 37:15-28 (KJV) "15 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, 16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and [for] all the house of Israel his companions: 17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. 18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou [meanest] by these? 19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which [is] in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, [even] with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. 20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes. 21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: 22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all: 23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God. 24 And David my servant [shall be] king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. 25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, [even] they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David [shall be] their prince for ever. 26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. 27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 28 And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore."
I had never considered the idea of 'Messiah ben Joseph' before. Thank you. And truly Jesus is Israel's 'Joseph'; a brother turned over to the Gentiles long ago, and who the majority of the Jewish people today believe is dead. This all corresponds to the 'woman' of Revelation 12, whose symbolism points back to the second of Joseph's dreams. Now the nation of Israel needs to be told that their 'Joseph' is not dead, but working behind the scenes (through current events) to bring His brethren to repentance. This message may not be popular with the Jewish people. OFI may even be accused of wishing hardship upon Israel. But it's the word of God, and He will use it to save souls.
The woman who delivered a baby king was Mary, not Israel. While Israel keep not humbling themselves and still think they are the center of everything they will stay blind to the truth. Jesus came to preach to the people of Israel, be rejected by them and save the whole word. He built his church, not with Israel but everyone who believes him, there is no Israel as people of God today, but a Catholic (Universal) church who is not only his people but his bride and his body. I know one day people of Israel will stop listening to those rabbis and listen to the Messiah God Jesus, becouse it is a prophetic word for that, until there any jew or non jew that wants to be saved will have to humble and join the body of Christ through faith in his death and resurrection.

It seems to be important for jesus to be the messiah of both the northern kingdom and the southern to have the bloodlines for both. IT also seems to me that it would be hard for the southern kingdom to accept a messiah from the north.
The Bible does not teach this anywhere, and whoever takes this scholar's word for it is a fool. The genealogy traces Christ's heritage specifically to Judah. Christ is prophesied to sit on the throne of _David_ , not Jeroboam. Ppl are allowing themselves to be deceived by that guy's reasoning because he sounds knowledgeable, but he's a fool who also think that there are other Messiahs.
@theeternalsbeliever1779 The point I believe he is making is that these things are fulfilled in Christ. They are types and Shadows of our Messiah Yashua. He is from the tribe of David, and although he didn't sit on the throne, he will when returns, he will rule with an iron Scepter.

Boy it sure zeroes in on the genetic line of Messiah if He must come from David AND Joseph... God really sharpened His prophecies to a pinpoint didn't He? You cannot dig heavily into Messianic preophecy without being funneled directly to Jesus. Praise God for the depth of His living word.

Hosea in latin and spanish means joseph. As this book is all about ephraim his son, it seems fitting that this book is the book of joseph.
I think I could better follow along with this presentation with a visual aid such as a chart, as I am a visual learner.
I can understand that. Visual aids are always helpful. This teaching on Messiah "types" is rarely if ever discussed among Christians. Its very easily misunderstood as a few of the comments indicate.
Its a blessing to be able to listen to a video like this over and over until those wonderful 'ah hah' moments come.
I don't know if you know this but you can click on the transcript and read the words being said. The closed caption program that types the transcript can get a word wrong occasionally.. but you'll get thru it just fine. Its not visual but it's might be the next best thing for you! check it out 👍
