Mines is a 1998 with 265799 miles and counting. Got her in 2004. Used as a rescue vehicle with PR EMS as a volunteer. She was very known in my home area. Yours looks great.
We have a 1993 4D56T Full (manual) in the family that we brought from the first owner in 2002, it's been one of our daily cars ever since. A total joy to drive.
The US has a good fan base for the montero, but it's sad that you only got the 5 door montero. The montero (or pajero called in the rest of the world) was also built as a J-top and 3 door with better off road capabilities and some 2.5l and 2.8l diesel engines and manual gearbox in all engines and trims. I like this car so much, especially because it is a real all-rounder
I have a 2.5L (manual) and it's awesome. If taken proper care, the 4D56T will last forever. We brought from the first owner in 2002 and it's been one of our daily cars ever since. A total joy to drive.
G’day mate, over here in Australia it’s known as a Pajero, I have the 2.8L turbo diesel model, I agree with you it’s a awesome vehicle. I sold my 2007 gen4 model and went back to the gen2. I won’t be selling it for a long time. 👍
Going to check out a 97 LS with 170k miles tomorrow. $1k, all gauges + 4x4 work, no rust and few dents, just does not run without pouring fuel directly in. Seems like a steal.
Got a 97 Monty LS on 33" M/Ts that is actually the same color as your! But no locker but im super surprised on what it can do off-road. Pretty sure im going to keep mine for a long time. Maybe look into getting rear lockers but havent found much in AZ i cant climb over.
Greetings of Panamá 🇵🇦 great video, I have a Mitsubishi Montero 5 doors, gasoline GLX 5 speed, Manual, Strong car, I don't sell it even in dreams, Godó job, I see you, I follow it...
Any thoughts on a 2001 Montero Limited? I have one for sale on my local Craigslist. Problem with it is that it has the wrong transmission installed on it. A 4 speed vs 5 speed. Thinking I can buy it for say $1500 from asking $2200 with 141k miles it might be worth the added price of swapping it for the correct 5 speed transmission?
A very reliable car but its boring and underpowered it will definitely not one of my choices this all mitsubishi Pajero are reliable and the last generation is the best. I don't know what engine in your vehicle but most probably is 3.0 V6 which not favourite engine for me i prefer the last generation Pajero short wheel base 3 doors 3.8 V6 with 250ps and 330nm that Pajero even outclassed the fj Cruiser The Pajero isn't equivalent to land cruiser its the main opponent of the prado

I own a 1997 SWB 2.8 diesel as my weekend toy. Lovely and very capable little offroader.

Great video man. That Gen 2 looks like a clean well kept Montero!
