thanks for sharing , its nice to stay up to date with all this new stuff out there
Very thorough review. I've been considering something like this so I can get back to playing flute in a community band. Being able to read ordinary sheet music would be my goal. Has anyone used this device for reading sheet music in a band or orchestra?
We've had other clients use similar devices for reading music
Could you use a magnetic battery pack to increase duration?
I believe that Eyedaptic have a Y cable that splits the USB C port out into two USB C ports. You can then connect an external battery into one of these for increased battery life.
looks awesome how nice is it for watching tv or at a movie theater?
Watching TV seemed decent but as with any of these you really have to try it for yourself.
You may have said in your video, in which case I missed it, but do you know the price point?
Question what would be the best headset at the moment to watch live sport with ?
There is no best headset as it depends on the user, but the VR style usually give the widest field of view which is helpful for sports.
Hi do you know how this compares to the new eSight Go?
eSight GO hasn't released yet so we haven't been able to try it.
@@VisionForwardTechConnect Ah okay I see that on their site now. I know that it was shown at CES but must've misread elsewhere. Thank you!
How do you think this would be for reading music?
I tried these at a low vision technology exhibition and they weren't so great for my condition. It has a very narrow field of view and sure I'm reliant on my peripheral vision, this device was not ideal.
Yeah I could see that, the screens are smaller than some headsets, meaning the field of view isn't as good.
@@VisionForwardTechConnect still waiting on the low vision headsets with 100+ degree FoV like some mainstream sets now have. The widest I've seen for low vision tech is the Acesight VR which is a bit behind the curve now.
The VR style headsets definitely offer the best FOV, but yeah I don't think anyone in low vision has 100 degrees. Maybe one day! @@theshadowdirector
Bit pointless, unless we get to see through them, as well.
Hi, yes we wanted to capture some footage from the headset but didn't have a way to do so unfortunately.
If you want to try them out for free go to the website and the company can find someone who sells them
I have this product. It is very disappointing and I do not recommend it. External camera is only slightly better than the one in the glasses, plus it is difficult to use. Also, I find it terrible as a reading device.
Thank you for sharing your experiences. Very sorry that it isn't working out for you. We found the external camera is a significant increase in resolution, but that doesn't always translate when you take into account a vision impairment. For reading we would always recommend a handheld or desktop CCTV for sure, wearables can be very difficult to read with.
You don’t need two people for this.
@@VisionForwardTechConnect very funny, you need to get straight to the point, longer videos get frustrating, especially when some of the jokes are not funny
Thanks for making this video. Another great wearable device.
Glad you like it!
