  • HOW TO FIX CODE P0300 RANDOM MULTIPLE CYLINDER MISFIRE
    If your car has engine light on and code P0300 Random Cylinder Misfire Detected, we will explain what could cause that and how to fix it. We will share with you the top 3 reasons that can cause Code P0300 and your engine light to be on. If you have code P0300 always check ignition coils, make sure that you do not have oil or water in the ignition coils, this could be caused if you have washed your engine and water got trapped in the ignition coils, or if your valve cover leaks oil it can make the ignition coils when they may start misfiring and trigger code P0300. Also, check spark plugs and spark plugs gap. If you put new ignition coils, spark plugs, and the spark plugs have the correct gap, it could be dirty fuel injector, also vacuum leak, bad pcv valve and more. We demonstrated how we fixed code P0300 on Mazda but it will work on multiple cars.

    Everyone wishes the problem can be fixed by adding something to the gas tank (me too!) but when you pulled those plugs and saw they were not only broken but so poorly gapped it made me wonder who was working on that car before you got it. Nice work. Update: My mechanic pulled the plugs, the wires and the ignition coil (only one in my model Subaru). The car is now working perfectly. I should have had this done as regular maintenance years ago before I started throwing money down the gas tank with lousy mileage.

    From my experience these random misfires are usually accompanied by other problems. I would always start there first. The cylinders have their own codes similar to 0300 but they are 301,302,303 etc. showing you which cylinder it’s is. I admit not always this easy.

    • @jordinp2140
      @jordinp2140 2 роки тому +4

      Yeah exactly. You'd think if a sparkplug gave way it would have recorded a individual cylinder code before the other plug blew.
      Unless the sparkplugs failed at the very same time, which we all can assume didn't happen. I think there's definitely deeper issues here.

      @@kennethziegler7025 got an update misfires came back couple days later, it wasn’t the coils or spark plugs, it was causing misfires because I had a exhaust burnt valve in cylinder 4, so I was having flashing check engine light..the shop did a compressor test/Leak down pressure test confirming it is burnt valve in 4.. well I had it replaced lol cost a lot though 4K I had all my valves replaced, engine gasket replaced, and timing chain replaced too.. and new oil change too.. only reason I did it because I still love car lols. Most peoples would probably passed on with it because it cost too much it’s better if u just go buy a used good car instead Lols. But yea that’s the update but now I think after doing all that I now need to replace my thermostat too because I would see it going up one notch then goes back to normal in the middle Lols! Having a car there is always gonna be issues ! It sucks but yah this is my update ! So next fix will be taking it to the shop to get the thermostat replaced with a new one.

It is also possible that the vanos is off, it may have not been properly timed. Or could be a vacuum leak where something got overlooked on the head job. I would also perform a smoke test. That will show you any leaks in the intake. Probably do a smoke test first because air leaks in the intake cause random misfires.

With right at 50 thousand miles and never seen a P303 with that many miles.i replaced all Plugs and coil packs and took it for a drive and wow what a load of crap next. It started sputtering, Skipping and drove like a Kia..I hooked up my Topdon and it was throwing multiple codes from P300 which I know already,P301, P302, P303,P300 again to P304..Dam excuse my language!! So I pulled the Coils out and replaced them crunk it up and purred like a kitten. As it did before all this I've been through. I drove it around the neighborhood and up and around the area.Ran like a charm..I parked it and told the Wife it's good and you can drive it to work tomorrow. Well low and behold she returned home to get the Truck because it was skipping and running like a Kia again. like a piece of crap..I did put Lucas gas treatment in. I'm pretty baffled as of now. Haven't hooked up my Topdon as yet to see if any other codes are available I'm kinda thinking fuel filter. But that's built into the Fuel pump...Have you guys seen anything as this? I'm a guy who does these things myself. Just hoping you have and are able to point me in the direction I need to go...I would truly appreciate it if you have seen this before..As the Fuel pump I just don't see it going out especially with only 50 thousand miles.. Thanks for any update on this Piece of crap Kia you may have seen...

      Id still hook up a fuel pressure gauge untilni had it figured out , ive glanced over at when there running and watched them do wierd things occasionally , when accelerating it shouldnt drop 2 or 3 lbs ,55 lbs first check , now its at 50 , half hour later , koeo . That's what my 3/4 ton chevy 6.0 is doing right now , im wondering if i should try a fuel pump , or coils , plugs , gapped & new plug wires are just done , it did nothing ..PO300 code ..going to check the live data feed on the o2 sensirs after my sandwich ..still gotta hook up exhuast , convertor back , broken exhuast manifold bolt on the ds exhuast manifold to head , as
      usual , leaks bad , that might cause the code , but im still thinking fuel pump

    My GFs Honda D16V1 is giving random cylinder misfire and we cannot get it sorted. Has new plugs, no water in fuel, etc, we have checked alot of thing and it will not work, it gives codes for individual cylinders misfire first, usually starting from cyl 3, then a bit later it says multiple cylinder missfire. Any ideas?

      Could be leaky injectors, bad spark plug wires, or a bad distributor. First try testing resistance on the spark plug wire for spark plug 3 by using a wire tester. Wire testers look like little clamp on spark plugs that you clamp on to a ground and light up if it is getting spark. You should be looking for a nice rhythmic spark from the tester if the wire or distributor is good. if you are not then test the resistance of the spark plug wire with a multi-meter and reference your owners manual for the optimal resistance of the wires. If your wire is good and you are not getting a rhythmic spark it is your distributor. If the wires and distributor are both good then next check the resistance of fuel injector #3 with a multi-meter and once again reference your owners manual for manufacturers specifications. I hope this helps! EDIT: oh also it could be a bad fuel pump and just look up chrisfix for that haha, once again good luck!

      @@Ghost_TTi6 Thanks! Its a coil on plug ignition, and swapping coils around didnt help. Also the fuel pressure was checked by dealer along with spark, timing etc. Im not sure if they tested injectors, but since its giving multiple cyl misfire I would find it weird that they all would have gone bad in the same time.

    So the video you stated that you would show all issues that can cause a p0300. But you stopped at the spark plugs there's bound to be more behind the scene than just the spark plugs. You got to the fix on the car and stopped you should keep going and explaining what else causes a p0300

      Spark plugs tubes in valve cover seals need to be changed: they become dry and stop sealing oil from going into the spark plugs
