that's more a utilitarian feature on the allroad, what with them expecting this model to see more off-road use, rather than them cheaping out. and they do offer a fully painted option for those that don't like the plastic.
The full paint option is literally only 1k more, so it's not like you don't have the option. I personally love the look of the trim. It gives the car a far more utilitarian appeal and stands out from the majority of the Audi lineup, even the avant. And if you actually plan on hitting up the backcountry like I am, they come in handy.
I don’t understand why does this Audi A4 allroad 2020 still have that tablet hanging out it is really bad when the new 2020 A6 allroad is gone and actually beautifully integrated, the tablet looks very very very old design fashion and lazy
@@julien7705 I have the 2017 model and it was the one thing I really didn't like at first but you get used to it. I'm sure the B10 A4 Allroad will have the touchscreens integrated as per their current design language but on the downside, we're likely to lose the physical knobs and buttons for the climate control and what not which is a shame, the current ones are fantastic.
It's right at eye level, when looking at it there is very little shift in focus and feels very natural. I like it. Super fan of the B9 allroad here lol
Agreed! I am a proud owner of the 2018 allroad and wouldn't have it any other way. The more aggressive xenon headlights on the B9 I think just look better and are overall more sporty, the grill change I'm completely indifferent about. And lastly, I am not a fan of the touchscreen. Like, how much screen do you need? Controlling the MMI with my hand down near the console feels a lot more relaxed than having to navigate a tablet.
Sincerely appreciate this video, it helped me decide get one two days ago
Appreciate the level of detail!

My main issue with the Allroad are the ugly plastic whellwells

@@Reed411 well. I prefer the low profile sporty look of the Avant. I guess that's why I dislike the available cars in the US.
@@mhaas281 It is a shame we don't have avants anymore... With the resurgence of the wagon maybe we will!

yes and it seems that we can't close it... this is probably my next car because I hate SUV... but this tablet seems stupid...

Volvo wagons have a very nicely integrated infotainment onto the dashboard

Gotta say, I do NOT like this refresh at all. Glad I have the 2017 before they messed up the exterior. And those wheels are terrible.

Last one looked better imo…
