I'm guitarist and a Hinds fan but... what a synth solo!!
What's really amazing was that he never stopped comping with his left hand! Geezus!!!
Jeeeeez, what a keyboard solo, absolutely fantastic, way to go Matt. Never heard anything like it.
That keyboard solo is from another world 🥰❤️🎹 Allen, You and Jay Graydon are my favourite guitar players ❤️
This track is incredible. Mr Hinds sensitive feeling superb. Best guitar sounds i've ever heard. As good as Beck Ford. Killer drum track to. No reflection on this track the buzz is caused by light dimmers connected to the lights over the stage to near to the players.
Great performance! Impressive musicians!
Has the kiss of Allen Hinds on it...as always!!! Nice all of you...really nice...
The video and musicianship are mesmerizing. Falling Up is a masterpiece.
Excellent !!!
This music seems warm and gentle. I like the vibe of the whole thing, and will dig A.H. from now
Looks like maybe the power source was noisy, because he seemed to be waving his guitar to find the spot with the least amount of noise. Killer playing from Allen. That synth solo too!
awesome drumming keyboard solo alans plying is impeccably tasty as usual and jimmy johnson holding everything real tight 2 thumbs up
Awesome!!
Excellent!! Great performances by all. Loved Matt Rohde's playing - kind of reminds me of George Whitty who is also wonderful!
+Ron Winter He sounds an awful lot like 1970's Jeff Beck.
Simple and genious composition with open string chord voicings with great downstep motion voice leading. ❤️👏👏👏
Love your videos Allen, you are truly Great... the 60 cycle hum, may be a s simple as... If you are in playing in stereo... take the ground off (not necessarily reverse) one of your amps... use a 2prong ground lift on one of your amp heads... it will make stereo amps quite... amen
That's offensive, although probably well meant. And hazardous too!
Amazing performance. But why didn't anyone did something about the hum.
Because it's cool ;)
Allen Hinds its genius
How is name of this music?
Marcus Barbosa falling up
Can You say "Noiseless Pic--Ups." Wonderful playing and tone !
A lot of hum from the lights
Allen Hinds and the Band are Superb,Allen being one of my favourite ever guitar players, but that Hum spoils it all (2 red plates just behind you cranked up,is that it)??Im with the Noise cancelling guys on this.
Youd think mi would have their stage sounds sorted... wtf with the noize? Great playing tho...Ode to billie joe insane too...
nice tone but the hum is almost louder then the guitar XD
On the 8th day... God invented the humbucker!
its so easy to criticize.... live at your bedroom.... lololol
try to play in certain rooms like That with singlecoils ..with those lights..and certainly with Air conditioner turn on..
What a great player. Too bad about the hum.
Smokin band!! Single coil pickups get noisy but who cares he's playing his ass off!
fantastic playing, but unacceptable humming pickups,no matter how good they sound
+MrAletube Strats hum, bro. Hendrix's did. I don't see history getting too upset with that!
+SurveyofFilmMusic If Jimmy were alive today you can bet yer life he'd have noiseless pickups.
Oh I effen doubt that! Noisless PUs are crap compared to the real thing. However, I sure he'd use Suhr's (Suhr Guitars) method of making regular wound PUs silent!
+MrAletube This isn't just a pickup hum... that would be okay and "normal for single coils." This is a very loud grounding/electrical hum. Allen has commented elsewhere that certain venues seem to disagree with his setup. Something going on with his board, not just the guitar.
something going on with MI more like it
I like Hinds, but you can tell who is a jazz fusion player and who r isn't. The operative word is "jazz." These kind of players (like Allan) simply haven't logged the thousands of hours doing the jazz thing and it shows in every way; note choice, phrasing (or lack thereof here), rhythmic variation...etc. that's not a bad thing per se, it's just where his head is at and that's fine. He's still a great player.
+SurveyofFilmMusic Are you just saying that because he's not mindlessly blowing Charlie Parker licks? hahaha. Dude's got a style like no one else's AND has some of the most expressive and articulate control of the instrument I've ever heard. On top of that, I'm willing to bet he can rip Donna Lee harder than you, or anyone commenting here can (myself included).
ahhh.... smh........
+SurveyofFilmMusic
This is the first time I've ever heard of Allen. But he's doing his own thing and it's a good blend of styles overall. And Jimmy Johnson plays master takes every time...
+SurveyofFilmMusic Where does the label "jazz fusion" even get associated with Allen? If anything, Allen is more an R&B / Blues player with elements of Holdsworth thrown in. Your statement "it's just where his head is" is a backhanded pejorative. Not for nothing, I'd rather take my ears to players like Hines and Verheyen than players doing the "jazz" thing, nasally tone, typical phrasing and no vibrato. I've studied with those kind of cats, and it's fine, it's not a bad thing per se.
Sorry, it's not about labels, it's about content. It's like you "throwing in" some complex language about something you don't know that much about, into your speech. To any experienced musicians ears, we can easily hear that that is exactly what Hinds does. Throw in those type of lines. Mind you, I've heard him play great, but it's when he doesn't throw things in there....
Amazing!!!
Yea I hear that noise
