My 14 yr old son is the only one playing baseball now. He started practice the middle of February. His first game was tonight. It had been close to 80 this week where I’m at. It was drizzling, windy, and cold for baseball in the South. I hate the beginning of baseball season.
Wow! That's a whole lotta limestone - in a spreader!!! And, the view of the tractor from the back really shows how much meat there is on those tires! Liked seeing Dad workin' his little dirt pusher ;-) Another great movie!
Brian, remove the quick hitch from the Fendt. It will be so much easier to plug hoses into the scv. I ended up changing my 933 to the Europe style quick hitch, but if you’re not using the 3pt much ,it’s pretty easy with a forklift to take the quick hitch on and off. Really enjoy your videos, best wishes for spring.
I’m sending you a bunch of colored. Zip ties you can use to mark hoses on tractor and implement to Make connecting faster and easier. Zip ties cheaper than wrap.
Thanks for another great video Brian and BJ and Dad. It was interesting and enjoyable. Dad did a great job of leveling out that ridge in that field. Believe that is a D8 Cat dozer. If so it made quick work of that ridge. Believe Dad likes to run the construction equipment. He is good at it. BJ is getting tillage done in February which is kind of unusual but with good temperatures it is good time to do tillage. Brian your demo spreader wagon is a nice piece of equipment. Hauls a lot of pounds and spreads real nice. Might want one of those some day. About it I guess. Enjoy your ball practice. Nice temps for that. Thanks for everything Brian. You all take care and be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
G’job Brown family, nice that everyone chips in on the camera time. Y’all have come along way from Pops and BJ being camera shy👍🏻keep em comin guys and God Bless🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸
Hi Brian Have a tow behind fertiliser spreader is a good idea, specially the one you have on demo with it’s high capacity. The cons are if the tractor that tows it is been used for some thing else and is a bitch to hook up. Great video as always- and thanks for sharing your story
I’m on a Brian’s Farming Video binge, getting caught up! Seems to me the prescriptions, variable rate applications & things like see & spray are well worth the price of the equipment in the long run. They all save product yet peeps the soil more evenly. So interesting.
Neighbor of ours in late 50s had one "big" tractor, put 4 row front mount cultivator on, cultivate till noon, off with cult, on with loader n push off stack hay till about dark, home loader off cult back on, same song next day!!! Brian don't like to unhook???
Great video Brian and gang! Now Brian you must learn German in order to drive their equipment lol. Ask Kayla to teach you haha. I do hope that you guys are able to widen those narrow access points to the fields that limit your ability to travel over creeks with a. wider 50' header now.
Imagine the heavier the lime load, the more compaction from the trailer tires as well. So it's a double edge sword, more compaction or more trips to load. Not sure I would load it so heavy, but it's your fields etc.
It's nice to get a demo on your farm but having the new spreader you have it wouldn't be really needed would it? I was a small farmer so I really don't know but it just seems that having to use another tractor it takes away from having that tractor for other things.
Bob and the D8!!! Now that would be something worth seeing and hearing. Would you consider sending him out again to doze something else? Don’t care if it needs it or not. Just turn him loose. BJ; I’m not sure if it would fall under copy-write or trademark but I suspect Brian has done neither! ‘Mornin’ to your hearts content. Perhaps you can come up with your own distinct pronunciation?
I was hoping it was going to say 16 tons because you know what you get? Another day older and deeper in debt, st Peter don't call me cause I can't go! I owe my soul to the company store!! 🤣
Brian ybittle listened to dad. He's gonna put him timeout. And then you'll be rolling upset, so be nice to dad. He changed your diapers, remember? Oh no, that was mom.
Make sure ya tell bj it is still a 9410r not a 9-410r . It’s only the newest generation that seperates the series from horsepower number. Whoever told him that is dumb. It specifies that on there hoods. Older generations are one solid number where new gen has the 9 seperate from the horsepower
That's a very wise piece of information there good sir , appreciate it,there is so many people that lack respect for John Deere these days it's just getting out hand ,thanks for standing up and showing how it's done .Much love ..... Albertaboy
Sorry Brian, got no sympathy for ya bro. I have battery tenders on everything I own that has a battery and I never, ever have to jump off a machine. You have 1000X more money invested in equipment than me and can afford a $25 Schumacher tender. Ive noticed you always check the oil when you run your machines, make putting them on a tender when you park them part of the procedure too, and you wont have to worry about the jump start hassles. Just sayin'
Hay there Bryon i have watched you from your first time i will no longer be able to watch your channel anymore utube is making us sign in and out of our Google account its to hard for me to do sorry ive really enjoy your channel keeps farming alive in me best of luck
LOL so typical. Farmer mentality I cant't tell you how many times I"ve seen a farmer load every last possible kernel of corn on a truck an then go spill it all over the road time an time again.
Damn Brian quit being so lazy. Unhook and calibrate the tractor or do that thing your dad has done all his life called steering the tractor by hand and being happy about it.
The conversation with your dad brought back memories of my dad and I putting on the mounted corn picker. 😂
Thank You for sharing

Colored zip ties on every hyd hose. Single tie for pressure, 2 ties for return
Working words with BoB and Brian 😝🔜 more videos please 🙏
Every kids dream is to own a Big Cat Dozer. Looks like Bob is living the dream. Great job guys.
These guys have it figured out. They are highly productive and put resources into staying there while maintaining life balance. Remarkable!!

People hear in Germany are not smaller then in america but our limits for the mathurmants of Farm Equipment are way smaller.
Keep up the great work!
Morning, keep up the great job 👏🏻
It’s switched we having a wet spring this year and spring before you lot was wet we were dry. Boston uk Lincolnshire

Good progress for February.

I think that’s the first time we have been in the D8. Very different. 👍🏻
German engineering at its best! Just be quiet and follow directions! Hooking up is so much fun
Hopefully Squishy & Mrs. Squishy have made it through the winter.
Mornin, still liking 👍 them all. Happy subscriber 😊!
Thanks for the video.

Good video.
I think the wide flotation tires are better than duals.
Morning
Very good Video 👍 👍
Great Video Brian, interesting you can get lots more lime in a trailed spreader than the floater, thanks for sharing
another great video!

I think it's more about having to unhook to calibrate the steering and then hooking the same impliment right back up.
Dax is gonna play for the Reds!
D8 was a good buy

I put colored zip ties on my remotes.
What type of compaction is created when you big jags of lime?
Imagine the heavier the lime load, the more compaction from the trailer tires as well. So it's a double edge sword, more compaction or more trips to load. Not sure I would load it so heavy, but it's your fields etc.
Surprised you haven't put two foot side boards on the spreader so you could get another ten ton on it.
Probably will when they own it...its on demo currently.
First thumbs up from West Michigan
Do you have hoses color coded and tractors color coded?
Get it done. Planter needs to be ready to go.
Looks like the ole D8 is healthy. Didn’t hear it load up
It's nice to get a demo on your farm but having the new spreader you have it wouldn't be really needed would it? I was a small farmer so I really don't know but it just seems that having to use another tractor it takes away from having that tractor for other things.
Mornin
LOL Brian I am a small farmer in Western Pennsylvania about 3 hours East of you perhaps I could borrow your big machine there
Paint pens an zip ties save lots of time.

Mornin’
There's a plus for John Deere auto steer
Common Brian, listen to your dad. Us "old" folks are always right!

Where do you get your lime from
I was hoping it was going to say 16 tons because you know what you get? Another day older and deeper in debt, st Peter don't call me cause I can't go! I owe my soul to the company store!! 🤣
Why do u keep that 3pt hitch on if u don’t use it lol take it right off best thing ive ever done makes hooking up equipment so much easier
Planter and ripper are 3pt

1000 series Challenger/fendt tractors are the worst tractors I've ever hooked hydraulic lines to.

Didn't really get my comment finished 30 time would do me for the year
So who was right. You or dad?
The 1000 series fendts are made in Jacksonville Minnesota
1000 series are made in Germany crawlers are made Jackson Minn. Ive been trough the tractor plant in Jackson
Did you see Emma's review of the big new JD tractor?
No

I can't understand your dad no mater where the camera is positioned 🤣
Thought it was just my old ears.
Got to thinking, a dangerous habit, does the lime spreading recipe have a way to account for moisture content or does it matter?
Yeah it measures the density of the product
@@BriansFarmingVideos Sorry, the scientist part of me has to ask how does it know what percentage of the density is water vs product?
Still not a "Big Swede" load

So you can’t log in ever just to watch UA-cam? Ya ain’t gotta do it daily, just do it like once week, I’m sure it’s not that difficult 🤦🏻♂️

For the idiots of the world pushing EV's maybe we could get the 12 volt batteries mastered first.
LOL so typical. Farmer mentality I cant't tell you how many times I"ve seen a farmer load every last possible kernel of corn on a truck an then go spill it all over the road time an time again.
Only two kinds of farmer loads full or empty
Damn Brian quit being so lazy. Unhook and calibrate the tractor or do that thing your dad has done all his life called steering the tractor by hand and being happy about it.
I have no problem steering and if I was being lazy I would have just steered. The problem with streering is overlap which is wasting product
