@@joeld.k.7652but i rather massicely suggest you to play first AoW 2 Shadow Magic before anything else, that one plus planetfall are the best 2 games of the serie, even better than Aow 4, trust me!!!

I think it's worth creating outposts to connect your bases with roads. Costs 20 influence per, but speeds up transportation massively!

Start Aow planetfall or aow 4.
you dont have to play any previous titles to get into them.
