    Team Adapalene! I don’t see a difference between regular long-term use of adapalene vs tret for anti-aging and I’ve had it with the occasional “overdid it” with tret so I’m going back to Differin happily once my current tube is done.

    Alice! hi! Gotta love the joys of hormonal acne right? I’m experiencing a really bad breakout on my chin and cheek right now. I’ve been applying the peach slices snail mask for 20 minutes rubbed in a little ( it’s SO much easier to wash off, highly recommend ) and then my snail serum + azelaic acid + Cosrx snail moisturizer combo and it’s really been working! I find that stripping my routine back and keeping it hydrated but simple is the fastest way to clear a break out. I also apply a diy BHA mask = clay mask + 3 drops of SA serum to my spots overnight and that works well to give me a whitehead and then I throw a patch on!
    So glad to see your skin is healing again:)

    The sandwich method works out well for me - thanks for mentioning it previously! I use BHA every morning, and I've been adding on adapalene a few nights a week in anticipation of the looming sh*tstorm when I have to go on HRT in a few years. (Yasmin/Yaz with spironolactone are keeping me from oblivion, and other birth control does NOT work for me, yay PCOS.) And yes, any anti-aging benefits are a bonus!

    Tip for the Dennis gross strap , I put the strap the other way , so the part u pull to tighten it is in at my head , if I started to pull at it it would still loosen but it seems to secure it a bit better so that I can sit at my kitchen table quite comfortably without holding it or even walk about if im not going to be doing sudden head movements.
    What worked for me might not work for everyone but if you still have the strap , give it a shot , he definitely should switch to velcro though!! It’s an awful strap made of the silkiest silicone/rubber I’ve ever felt 😂

Glad you mentioned combo retin a with peptides I had actually thrown on my stratia interface rewind and illyoon with b oil and pray those peptides get in there. • @christined.7292
    @christined.7292 Рік тому +1

    Love this video!I do the retinoid sandwich too, but a little bit different. I'm using the tretinoin from Agency at .005% (not .05, but .005) which I totally thought was so low it would have no effect but when I first started it made my skin peel and flake even at that percentage.
    Anyway, I wait 10 minutes after I wash my face to apply the tret. Then I sandwich it between CeraVe moisturizing cream. One night I forgot to sandwich it and applied the tret right after my liquid gold without the CeraVe, and the next morning my skin was so dry and messed up for a week. When I sandwich with CeraVe I have no problems. :)

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole

I do think my skin looks brighter though :)

      Hmm I have liked what I’ve tried from them! But I do worry that I would need to be more diligent with it, or I might find ankle sunburns or something 🤣

    If I had to stand around and wait for my LED mask to finish working, it would drive me literally up the wall. I just strap mine on mine is the Deesse express that has 2 straps that allow for rock solid contact to the face and just get on with whatever else I’m doing, I especially like to go online or do the dishes because the red light makes it difficult to see, so if you do stuff that itself shines brightly and my sink is at the window, I find I can see a lot easier than if I try and do something like watch television in the dark, but even that is possible it’s the standing still doing nothing else. EEEEEH congrats!! 💕💕
      So my honest opinion on “retinol alternatives” is that while nothing is exactly the same, there are plenty of pregnancy-safe ingredients to maintain healthy skin. Overall I think a good skincare routine is the key vs one single “do it all” ingredient. After all, for as great as retinoids are, they don’t replace sunscreen, the act of cleansing, the TEWL-protective actions of moisturizing, etc. it’s the sum of the parts, essentially.
      And of course always check with your doctor to make sure what you’re using is a good choice
