the problem here is that nobody here wanted to be depressed about an MVC game, we all wanted MVC infinite to be awesome, and saying "if you don't like it then don't buy it" does not make any of us (the disappointed ones) feel better, especially considering that we will probably have to wait another 7 to 10 years for another MVC iteration to come out, and then expect it to no be as disappointing as infinite is. DAMN! now i'm depressed to.
Why are you depressed? The "Infinite" means they're going to just keep adding to it, so we have a big change of getting all these characters back in.

This game proves to me that the most important thing in a fighting game is the roster. Specifically for the crossover ones. That aspect is always what's gonna help people remember the game.

Both megaman and Ironman and my boy war machine play the same 2 but if they changed for they do specific moves then yea I would like all of the char yall mention in the game
Offbeaten War Machine is lot different than Iron Man. the only similar is they both have repulsive blast. mostly War Machine use Guns and missiles and Iron Man use his energy, laser, and mini missiles
Offbeaten MegaMan and X are not only different sizes but both have access to 64+ separate arsenals that they could pick from.
Mega Man (Classic) also has Rush and Beat.
War-Machine is just a iron man pallet swap.

One of the main reasons I'm bummed about mvci and even mvc3's roster (though the characters introduced in 3 interest me far more than infinite, like Phoenix Wright lol) is that she doesnt return. At least revive her actual game series, the SonSon series is a Capcom oldie, show it some love.
Waluigi deserve his own game Sonson would be interesting if Capcom threw her in Infinite. Heck I'd take Sonson and Dan over Arthur and Spencer.

Ken (His rush down playing style would differ that from Ryu's. Plus, he's my favorite Street Fighter character next to Chun-Li. I would love to bring back my deadly Spider-Man and Ken duo from MSH vs SF or team Ken up with Morrigan)
Felicia (She's always been a fun character for me and I love her in general)
Psylocke (Bring her back Capcom!)
Wolverine (One of the most iconic Marvel characters along with Spider-Man. It's a crime for him to be excluded from the game. It's like Mario or Link being excluded from Smash Bros.)
Gambit (He's so awesome)
Captain Commando (I'd love to see him again)
Venom (I hope the leak is true)
Cammy (I'd love to see her come back, but with her Delta Red persona as opposed to the Killer Bee one we've seen in the previous VS titles)
Deadpool (I don't think I need to say why)
Black Heart (Would be a great Marvel villain to represent the Marvel side. Plus, Black Heart vs Ghost Rider in the VS series needs to happen)
Magneto (He's been there since the beginning and he's a classic villain so why not?)
Jin (Hated fighting him in Marvel vs Capcom, but would be neat to see him again)

Me as well. I think they prioritize more famous UA-camrs like Max or VesperArcade than just us average people. But I'm not that Bummed out. It'll be the 1st game I get in 2018 along with Ni No Kuni 2, and the Rest of 2017 I'll be playing MvC:I, SF5, Assassin's Creed: Origins & Maybe Wolfenstein II, so it's okay. There isn't a Lot of characters in FightersZ Yet, I'm sure there will be an Open Beta later on, with a Lot more Characters so I hope that happens

It's really sad that Max had to go through over half the roster before he reached a character that is actually in MvC:I.
I know the Marvel side of this is out of Capcom's hands for now. What just saddens me is Capcom has a rich history of fighting game IP's that are probably thrown at the mouth of a volcano because I have not seen them for decades. I still have to see a TechRomancer, Warzard/ Red Earth and Powerstone character in an MvC game.
Jin, Hayato, Roll (Tatsunoko vs Capcom version), original Mega Man, Captain Commando, Ruby, Akuma, Jill (not resident evil 5) Cyclops, Wolverine, Gambit, Magneto, Psylocke, Storm and Cable should all return.

João Correia Well, Mega man's abilities are very separate and different from X and Zero.
Not to someone who doesn't like, care or know much about Megaman, to me they seem the same character, they look like the same guy with a not so much different suit even if their move list and gameplay is different.
Also same logic could apply there to WM and IM, different movelist for both

yeah but Wolverine is an iconic X-men character it makes sense for him to have legacy statues. Shuma is like a D list doctor Strange villain that most people only even know about is because of the MvC games (yeah i know we didn't end up getting any X-men at all but my point still stands)

4 years hindsight from the Capcom side I think Tron Bonne was one of the biggest ones that seemed to be missing. From Marvel Wolverine, Rogue, Deadpool and Dr. Doom. If we got a Switch Port with just those five characters at it I think it would breathe in a lot more life into the game in general. Took me about 15 minutes into this video before you I realized you were talking about bringing characters back gameplay wise while I typically think about actual characters relevance to the companies and history and lores of the respected franchises on if I think a character should come back. That's actually super interesting that I had never thought of. Once you got to Jill I was like "oh yeah, bring her back too"

Are you sure? MKX didn't get Nightwolf, Shang Tsung, Noob, Smoke, Kabal, and they brought in fucking Bo Rai Cho, who asked for Bo Rai Cho? Might as well bring in Mavado from DA and Fujin from MK4 so we have that real top tier roster, MKX had a bad roster and MK11 probably will as well

You can have a different roster every game, you just gotta make sure the new characters don't take away the old fan favorites. SF4 Vanilla had a great roster, they got the full SF2 roster and 5 new characters, as well as Alpha characters. Then every update into Super and Arcade Edition they brought in two originals, and then a bunch of old characters. That's how you do a roster, you wanna keep the old guys and sprinkle some new doods on top. MKX's roster is half old characters and half guests/new characters. SFV roster is shit too because of the same reason

no, that was years Ago during the fear itself and Phoenix saga, and also Colossus wasn't a very good Juggernaut. The last time Juggernaut was seen Cain Marko got back the powers, he was choosen by Cyttorak over Colossus to be his avatar, and he came back stronger than ever, he even didn't had the weaknest to psychic attacks. But then the all new marvel shit happened rebooting the universe and stuff and i haven't seen Juggernaut appearing in any comic since then,(it's been like 3 years or more)
I know this sounds dumb, but I think Bayonetta would be a cool idea for a guest character in mvc because of the ridiculous combos in her games and she is sort of in a way a capcom character since the people that made Bayonetta were originally from clover studios in capcom I believe.
