Interceptor 650 Leather side bag restoration ..😱😱 | Monsoon | Leather Accessories

Recently I had a long ride on my Interceptor 650 during heavy rain. Although I had covered the Trip Machine leather bag side penal with a rain cover, somehow lot of water entered inside and I forgot to check for 3 days. When I opened the rain cover , I was shocked to see the condition of the Leather bag which was completely covered with molds.
Though leather bags enhance the look of retro motorcycle, It's always difficult to maintain the leather stuffs during rainy season.
I have dried the leather bag and polished with leather polish.
The trip machine leather bags come with MK Designs metal side panel which can be used separately without the leather bag.
Now I will use the MK design side panel without Trip Machine leather bag till the rainy season ends.

Great video, i've got the leather side bags from Raw and Rugged myself, I always use a leather condiitoner every time it gets even a little wet - the water tends to remove the natural oils from within the leather, making it brittle, and also promotes fungus growth. It Takes some effort to maintain them for sure but they will last a long time if properly cared for
