I was stationed at Suwon Air Base several decades after the war; there were still bullet holes and bomb craters all around the general area (as in many other places around Korea).
My Grandfather was in the 25th. I think this was posted on YT before. Im watching again. My Papa was in the Army for 4 years. Sgt. 1st class. Robert Lee Long. I miss him so much. Very proud of your Dad and my Pop. All our Veterans. Pop wouldnt be so bold about it. But Im proud of that giant , quiet man. He described some of this to me. I remember him telling me about the pontoon "bridge" that was built. He was there.
Screwed? Nah just had to fight harder! Learn more. I take your comment as an insult. Im very proud of these men. It was hell. (see my other comment to learn why youre an asshole)

@@jimphelps100 Aw thanks 😊Yes. Heroes indeed.
My father fought with this division 50-51
My great-grandpa fought in the Wolfhounds, Melvin Mertz.
I like how the people in the old military records video speak in a attractive accent. Where do they learn those kind of way to speak?
Sgt. Queen looks a bit like a queen with that mustache. A different breed in all seriousness. What a generation.
Served, both my brother and I, with the 25th - 65 Combat Engineers - in 1951 - and on until March of 52.
My grandfather served with the 14th infantry in the 25th. 1951-1952. Thank you for your service. His name was Bill Couch from Kentucky
Seoul was fought over 4 times during the war with massive casualties both UN and Communist Reds although the city was quickly rebuilt afterwards.
Changed hands four times. Fought over twice.
Electric strawberries
22:39 to 22:49 M1A1 Thompson Sub Machinegun
No WW2 or Korean War Era Footage are complete without them!
My dad was in the tropic lighting in Korea
The electric strawberry....These guys were always in harms way. Any division with a regimental combat team must know they're screwed.

MY DAD WAS IN KOREA
A-co. 2/27 25th I.D.
@Alxalifate My dad's arty battalion along with b52s and f4s trapped and killed a entire division. Your country's kill records weren't spectacular.
2/27 98-01

The Chinese beat the shit out of the overconfident McArthur and US troops.
The Chinese were the overconfident who got their asses kicked, spanked, and were forced to treaty or face complete defeat.
@@eon1779 ohh really is that why US lost half of Korea and now the Kim family controls it.
