Bass almost cant damage hearing at all. The resonant frequency of the tiny bones in our ear (which actually let us hear) is really high. Bass is mainly what you feel on your ear drum. An ear drum can pop many times and the persons hearing would still be fine. And theres probably no way bass could even get close to that.

@ymalmsteen887 Dude.. depends on how you want to build it, this way is called walling your car, as in a wall of subs, steve kept his back sits so has it in the rear, subs up port facing back, both can be louder its just the way you want to build it. Just because steve done it that way doesnt mean its the end all way to do it.

@dfp396 Did I say it takes a lot of power? When you make a woofer with such a low Qts and a very high Bl your going to have a HUGE peak in frequency response, which is great for burping in SPL. However with music, not so much. So saying your using them as a daily driver is stupid, unless a daily driver in your eyes is straight spl burps you dont know what your talking about....
@RippedJolt yes i will agree with part of your answer but not all, the qts, and Bl , but from myself being in the car audio and spl industry for 26 years its an easy science of doing more with less it can be done and 162 to 163.8 is average for my truck , its a science of building the system around the vehicles responses and it works quite well for many people and just 10k on the z subs may not be alot but if you know how to apply it , well it works period just ask Pete Kulicky on his thoughts

They do reproduce music they are called mids and highs which are usually located up front subs in the back the music is very clear but the bass distorts a cameras microphone by doing this you usually can't hear the lyrics on a camera but you can in person so please do your research next time before you call someone a name.
