It breaks my heart to say this about my favorite diva, but it's true. She's almost 80 now and I guess all the belting has finally taken it's toll. But let me be clear she will always be one of my favorite performers even if she's not 100 percent. She doesn't have anything to prove. She has more than proven herself over the years. You only have to do your research and see for yourself. I guess it's true what they say all good things must come to an end. Her headvoice is so clean, free and versatile. She's pushing 80 and it's so impressive. Obviously her belting voice is greatly diminished, focusing on a lighter mix. However I still enjoy this from a woman who's been doing it over 60 years!

Patti has been an honorary aunt of mine, going into my childhood...1985 to be exact. Am 43 now 😁.
Her and Aretha carried me through way more than I care to express.
Just know that after losing my mother in 1993... These women musically, raised me.
