A locknut, also known as a lock nut, locking nut, self-locking nut, It resists loosening under vibrations and torque. no lock tight required. You have the best looking tank design I've seen! I have seen many!
It took so long to hand cut the track traction pads, maybe 3d print them in TPU flexible filament would have saved some time ? Great build. Thank you for shairing.
Hey, verfolge deinen Channel schon eine weile; thumbs up!
Nice job, I just made the "normal" version, this one looks really cool and fun too. I like the rubber pads, it's a lot of work but mine lacks grips. It will hower put more strain on the motors and escs.
Great enjoyable video. Straight to the point. You've just helped me find a project I need to teach my students about 3D printing. This is not too big or overwhelming for the kids to work on. Thanks, just subscribed.
I don't know if I comment got added, sorry, but is this pretty smooth with fpv on something like carpet or hardfloor? I'm on a quest for smooth ground fpv. So far I've tried a 3d printed screw propelled vehicle, the faster you go the smoother the fpv gets. Thinking about hovercrafts, maybe tanks
Ok, it's been done for a while, just have no videos yet of it. I'll make a video for ya. Here is the file I downloaded for the screws, I downscaled it by 25%, the frame I designed myself and use Tamiya gearboxes and 150mm hex shaft. www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Make-a-Screw-Propelled-Vehicles/
Philipp's sorry, what I meant was that I took his design and shrunk it down and remixed it. It's important for me to say that I did not design the screws for the vehicle. However, mine runs about twice as fast, and has potential with brushless motors for at least 3x the origional speed. (Screws turning look like a blur). I'll post a video within a week hopefully.
printer this over the next few days, I have never mae this kind of thing before, is there a 50% scale list of the nuts bolts and bearings list at all? thank you in advance.
Hi guys! I wonder can it move just forward or back as well? As I understand this control is for flying models only where no reversed rotations are expected
Hi, Awesome little thing. I am printing this at 100% now and looking forward to build it. May i ask what screw size you are using on this ? The original uses M3 and M4 stuff so this is smaller sizes i believe? And what bearing size do you use for this great little thing ? :) The motors are out of stock, do you have tips for any replacement motors?
I used M2.5 and M2 Screws. For the chain I used M1.5 screws. For the bearings just use half the size. (If it is outer diameter 10mm use diameter 5mm). Let me check the motors, I'll give you an answer later on that question :-).
Wow almost all motors you could use are out of stock. Perhaps you can use this one, but is is slighly bigger but should work with some small modifications. Tell me if you need a modified motor mount, I'll make you one. Motor: hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-ld2816a-brushless-outrunner-1350kv.html
Oh thanks for the answer, i will make one like this too. If you have the possibility to make an adapter for the motor you linked i would be very happy. Im quite new to designing parts on my own. Will all the other parts fit the new motor you think? The pinion gear for the motor is this the same one from Stainds design just 50% smaller ?
I used a M0.5 Pinion that i made my own out of steel. Perhaps you can find a pinion that has a fitting hole with M0.5. The shaft from my posted motor is D 3mm, so it could be hard to find a pinion with that hole. I found this one and it is in stock. Has a very high KV so perhaps it will kill your main gear. But this one will fit with the motor mount I made! hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-aerodrive-sk3-2118-3100kv-brushless-outrunner-motor.html
Ok thanks again, i will try this motor first then :) i found this pinion shop.kkpmo.com/product_info.php?language=en&info=p702_zahnrad---trieb-m0-5---11-zaehne.html&= it may work ?
6:35 me when no one is watching Nice work just the video quality for channel this small wow! Maby you know a source or something on how to bind the controller (Sorry I'm just starting in this stuff) Thanks!

This is probably the best design I have seen so far. The smaller ones powered by servos are awesome too. Well done! 👍

HI, making a rc tank on crawler and i was asking how did you make your crawlers ? is that 3D printed with some rubber pieces on the top ?

Hello,
Do you have mabye a part list?

Sekundenkleber :-)

Huhu.
Jup ganz genau 50% kleiner :)
Super Typ, super Video und alles gut erklärt. Weiter so!
I’m gonna try to use some extra quadcopter motors, I can’t find the one you used. Seems to not be in stock or made any more
The most important thing is the KV, try to go with as low KV as possible! :-)
Philipp's I think lowest I have is 2408 2200kv...
That should work. Its a speedtank then :-)
I used a 2000kv motor in my speedtank. Used a 5:1 Reduction with it.
Geiles Teil! Danke für diese großartigen 7 Minuten :)
Der Satz klingt witzig ;-)

you should have 3d printed tracks in tpu for the first 4 layers instead of cutting the rubber for tracks ;)
