Wow, simply outstanding, awesome video, and an added bonus for the fact this is the town "Everybody Loves Raymond" Filmed their Italy episodes. At 28.30 is were Raymond and his Mom Marie are coming up the stairs and see a flower shop, although the flower shop is no longer there in your video. Then at 29.00 is the spot where Raymond while waiting for his Mom, Marie, leaning against the wall, says hi to a couple of gorgeous women, then plays soccer with two kids, and finally enjoys the best pizza he ever had, man.. lol... Just love it... I'm sure if I look closer I will find more of these locations that were filmed in the sitcom...Thank you for this walking tour...my personal favorite :)
God... Patrick, didn't even know about that and the episodes of that series. I'll surely check them out! I was born in Bracciano, just a few kms away from Anguillara even though I now live south of Rome. That area is special and dear to me. I'll try to go there once again, maybe during dusk or night?
Thanks for pointing that out. I just saw that rerun of their Italy show and I couldn't find on the walking tour where that was, albeit it was filmed 24 years ago already. My name is Eliana Pezzoni Hermann, I am Brazilian but I live in the United States for 21 years already, I have been to Anguilara Sabazia twice, we went again in 2020 but because of the covid it was not possible. Anguilara is the most hospitable city in Italy, we are passionate about this town. The inhabitants are very good and treat us as if they have known us for many years. The city has restaurants with the best food in Italy, I recommend them all, especially those by the lake. I also recommend a bakery next to a little church by the lake, I can't remember the name of this bakery but there you can have the best Italian breakfast, the owners and his staff are very attentive and kind. We stayed at the Hotel Al Vicolo dei pescatori, a building from the medieval period that has been restored, it is a perfect hotel by the lake, with beautiful rooms, very clean and well decorated, the owner Federico and his mother are wonderful, very dear people who helped us a lot by providing us with a great stay, giving us information and even taking us to places we wanted to visit, in addition to having a restaurant that in the summer serves delicious Italian food. We were also able to count on the friendliness, joy and kindness of Alfredo, a very experienced and very kind driver who picked us up and took us to Fulmicino airport. Anguilara besides being a beautiful city with very dear people, it also has the beauty of flowers in summer and the beach is well decorated with colorful chairs and there is a beautiful boat that sails across the lake taking tourists and residents to the cities of Bracciano and Trevignano, it's a beautiful ride. The city also has a train that can take you to many cities including the Vatican and Rome, at the Anguilara train station there is a small shop, the owner is a very kind and helpful gentleman. In addition to everything I mentioned there are many more good things to say about Anguilara Sabazia, this city has become our favorite place in Italy, another hotel that I recommend with beautiful views and great accommodation is the Domus Angularia, Veronica, the owner is very dear and kind. I recommend it to everyone who wants to go to Rome to stay in Anguilara because it is more peaceful, the prices are great and it is just a few minutes from Rome, a beautiful train ride that is worthwhile. Anguilara Sabazia is a paradise near Rome. ❤️❤️❤️

It's thanks to this video there that I found out about the series, as I didn't know it before. I then discovered (once others wrote here in the comments) that they filmed some episodes here in Anguillara, a very catchy place they decided considering its beauty. I should then now watch these two episodes I reckon, and I was reading the plot of Everybody loves Raymond and reading it.... it sounded like my own family (!)

I spent my first Italy vacation at the Lago di Bracciano on a camping site between Trevignano and Anguillara. That was 1990. Fell in love with the country and especially the area around Rome. Haven't been to Anguillara specifically for a while, though, more Roma and Castelli Romani. Love the video. Must go again next time!

@@StillWanderer Whenever I move to Italy - which I will eventually - it will be to one of the northern towns in the Castelli Romani: Frascati, Monte Porzio Catone, Monte Compatri or Rocca Priora. They are beautiful, not overrun by tourists and genuine Italian - And Roma is just 40 minutes train ride away to one side, the sea just 40 minutes to the other. Just have to work on my Italian though - knowing everything from Antonello Venditti isn't enough - you actually have to speak it on a daily basis... 😜🇮🇹

Abbiamo anche potuto contare sulla cordialità, gioia e gentilezza di Alfredo, un autista molto esperto e gentilissimo che ci è venuto a prendere e ci ha portato all'aeroporto di Fulmicino. Anguilara oltre ad essere una bellissima città con persone molto care, ha anche la bellezza dei fiori in estate e la spiaggia è ben arredata con sdraio colorate e c'è una bellissima barca che solca il lago portando turisti e residenti nelle città di Bracciano e Trevignano, è un bel giro. La città ha anche un treno che può portarti in molte città tra cui il Vaticano e Roma, alla stazione dei treni di Anguilara c'è un piccolo negozio, il proprietario è un signore molto gentile e disponibile. I was in Monte Porzio Catone, a small town near Rome, with my Italian friend last September. We walked through an old residency of the former feudal landlord, one line of the Borghese family. My friend said the same thing as you did. I researched while he went for some groceries. The castle was RE-built after a fire in the original then 300+ year old building 22 years before the U.S. declaration of independence...

Hi i live in Anguillara. Just to let you know, this is the historic center of the town but the city itself is a pretty standard town
