Nothing but great responses on behalf of the 3 Bama bands yesterday 💪
I remember when Asu use to claim wins off being louder, and I'm so glad State has started focusing on sound instead of volume.Asu has really impressed me!!Please continue in the current direction and you guys are going to be at the topic of the pack this year!!

ProfSnipes1 Miles once again in Charlotte had the best bang for your buck. Congrats and good luck on the rest of the season. One more thing left is to set up that BOTB with Haymer. I would fly across country for that.
Definitely needed to play something new to keep my interest. Asu wasn't playing and I didn't like there selection here either, but at least it was something different. It's about entertainment, right?

Rod3820 exactly! Although they do sound nice, I was completely bored with Miles playing that old shit. As far as I'm concerned ASU didn't have to play anything new either. Their sound alone was enough those wood winds, trumpets are back, tubas!! They sounded so damn good, powerful and full it doesn't make any sense. Playing new music at the BOTB shows their work ethic and attitude for the new season and now I'm very excited to see what else is new, what's next and what's up Bama State's sleeve!!! 🔥💯

Rod3820 Bruh Trust me Miles has a long book. They didn't need to play anything new to challenge ASU. Do your research and check on UA-cam of the songs they play Lol. Better yet wait until this weekend when they open up on Alcorn. Miles has one of the best arrangers in the HBCU

Asu brought something fresh to the table so thaey got the win here. All these bands were debuting new songs before the season, so there's no excuses for Miles on this one.
Rod3820 Miles did play slippery that's a new song and they didn't play it last year. Just because ASU played new songs that doesn't make them a champion Lol. Last year SU played all old songs and still took the battle.It has nothing to do with songs being old or new , it's all about the power and the way the song is written and dynamics. We all know Miles has a book that's never been the case. TSU played old songs but do that mean they lost the battle because of the songs ? No one wants to admit Miles is on the come up and is a power house band this year. Recruitment is better than over half of these SWAC and MEAC bands and that's a fact!!!
clewis0101 if that's the case than ASU been a known factor for years. And even when they play any new song the arrangement is poo AF, I'm not taking anything away from them but every year ASU sounds the same and AAMU sounds the sound. It doesn't matter what music they play or how many members as far back as I can remember they both always have kept the same sound. It's just like saying BCU don't sound good because they playing old songs 😃 and we all know that's not true. BCU plays the same songs every year and they still sound better than any new songs that's out. The songs are what excite the crowd they can't determine if a band won or not. The songs still have to be written a certain way and played a certain way to determine how good a band maybe. But to me Miles is in the top 3 bands this year when it comes to sound and music

Every Alabama band that showed up Saturday SHOWED OUT but somehow Sate sounded horrible? LMDAO. If I asked you what sounded horrible about State you'd be struggling to explain.
