All respect do to all HBCU bands. However I was at this game and I noticed several acts of disrespect. First being the videos placed on youtube where Miles was calling out ASU. They did the same thing last year before the BOTB at ASU. Secondly, I was shocked to see Miles perform their half time show to their side. WOW! The visitors always play to the home crowd. That is even customary at the junior high and high school levels. Miles was trying to out power ASU through out the entire game. As for the 5th quarter it is obvious that ASU had more musicianship, balance and power in their selections. Miles first selection said it all. No ASU was not perfect but they had a better and more up to date selection with more crowd appeal.
Miles is on a whole other level this year. They ate on ASU bad man 😓

To be honest, this wasn't about musicianship at all. Both bands were simply in contest to see which band could push out more volume. Some of the arrangements were not good, from either, and there were times where they didn't have a sharp clean sound. Slurring and blasting. All in all, Miles must being doing something right because I've been seeing good things from them lately.
I'm a hornet dad all day , but Miles book deepp and technically flawless. Miles remind me of late 90s MoB. Underdog killin!

Asu Sounded Good Af To Me Honestly But Miles Did To The Only Thing Is Miles Had The Arrangements And Power And Balance To Match..... Asu Is Kinda Going Through A Rough Time With Numbers From My Knowledge.... But Both Bands Are In My Top 5 Choices For College When I Think About Tuition And Education And Band Overall.... Nice Battle One Of My favorites This Year

I don't see where they got blown out at just saying both bands play to the same level Asu had hiccups and Miles. To me it's just they have bad song selection, a band director should know what level of intensity his band can play at.

When will Miles College ever make it to the Honda Battle of the Bands? I even voted for them because of their improvement. I guess the world isn't ready for them yet.....
From what I hear something happened a few years back with a director and the Honda staff.. I don't know if it's true but Miles should have been at Honda years ago..I personally don't care for Honda I just don't see some of them same ass bands going every year and they are boring AF and another thing is why don't Honda ever make the votes public if it's based off votes??? Personally I hope the shit flops or somebody else get a better BOTB for college bands Honda boring AF add a stand battle to that bih and change the location yearly Atlanta ain't the only place with a nice Football stadium...

Both band need to work on accuracy, intonation, and pitch. Must say Miles hit more on point notes and phrases Bama has a serious chair placement problem!!! LOL!!! If they do that there(c.p.)!!! Love both bands, especially Miles, but to Miles, know when you have won and leave. That last song was not needed, although I understand why!!!LOL!!! Great Job!!!

I hate that I missed this game. I had to work, but from this video, it looks like the PMM had a good night. Will it be a rematch next year, or will we have to wait another 10+ years?
There will be another bigger and better next year.Cause they are on the schedule again.
The more I listen to MILES first song I'm liking it it a lil bit more. If PMM can work on some serious balancing and control, better song selections, more trumpets, I do believe MILES could be in the top five HBCU bands. Let us see what next year will be like.

On the songs that needed to show balance and tone support (the ballads)... both bands failed.
Both were blowing on the up tempo stuff.
i wouldnt base a W on the last round cause both bands sat there for about 15 min waiting for miles to play a song and then both bands started repeating songs that they was playing at the beginning of the game but this was one of the top 3 band battles i seen all season and i was theyre in my opinion its a tie
State left they home stadium before miles did. Automatic L in my opinion. Thats a perfect example of ppl talking that noise and not backing it up. It was a good battle though. Miles showed up and showed out.

the agreement from what I heard was 5 and out. State, however, started playing the 6th, 7th, and 8th songs. So after pmm saw how shady Oliver was being, they cranked on their behinds and wouldn't let up. "O" is a terrible business man, but his plan back fired. So that's why miles stopped playing for a second. let's get our facts straight.

miles=loud.................Alabama state=musicality !!!!! nuff said !!!!! miles loud, and had more songs, but that isn't all that determines the better band during a 5th. miles had like 2 arrangements that I kind of liked, but other than that Alabama state was beastin lol im just being honest. both bands are good, and have pretty good music programs, and I don't go to either school so no hating this way lol im just being real. besides I cant really call who was louder, because both bands was putting out some fire.
