- Audio of WZ in December of 2000 performing For My Next Trick I'll Need A Volunteer from the TLA in Philly. And for the record, Jann Wenner is a dick who's keeping WZ out of the HOF for personal reasons
Warren was the greatest story teller / songwriter EVER .. in my opinion ..
agree
One of my very favorite songs. Lone you, Warren.
saw him in Brixton London May 19th 2000 and although he never played Carmelita it was the best gig I ever went to. I was only three rows from the front and it often gets forgotten how incredibly funny the man was. Not to mention as a musician he was remarkable. Guitar was his second instrument and he had complete mastery of it by 2000. a memory i will cherish.
i wish i was 10 years older im only21 and never got a chance to see warren this shit is gold R I P Warren
Halfway there.
Saw him twice at THE BOTTOM LINE. Once solo, once with a band. Killed both times. The best. Ever.
Consider yourself lucky, I was only six when he died.
I was at that concert, too~he was out of sight!! I miss Warren very much!
i was there also
@@patboyle8734, it was my first Zevon concert and I did "volunteer" that night's theme, of "Life'll Kill 'Ya'" and his music sawed me in half and when he died you wouldn't want to look in the box when he was through, but it was all worth it being by Warren's side spiritually and through the Internet after he told us he has Mesothelioma and on until he took his last breath that Sunday, on September the 7th of 2003.
Love this one. Miss Warren so much. Saw him in Philadelphia in about 1983 at the Chestnut Cabaret. Wow.
My favorite song in the world right now.
Warren's music kept me warm on those wintry Rockford nights back in 2000! And he's funny as hell, too! LOL
Nominate Warren this year and every year until he gets in! Go in and get everyone to cote for him over and over again!
Diane Lewis Warren didn’t give two hoots about the RRHOF - he was much better than the popular vote 🖕
Great version. Excellant audio. Thanks for posting and thanks Warren! RIP.
Love you Warren and Martin...
Whose Martin?
@@Jiggs2u2, a dear friend who like Warren got the "awful, awful disease," and as well in the same way I got affected by Warren's illness and eventual death, I am on repeat once again. Martin, also a fantastic musician from Amsterdam, reminds me so much of Warren in so many ways.
Cool crowd, good high notes -- usually he just sang an octave down except in studio, but he was feeling it here. killed it with the harp solo
