Katie Rocks!!! There are few performers like her, where the life experience and sincerity come from such a deep place that infuse and really over shadow the particular role and words she is saying. She 'speaks her Truth' with unflinching clarity and poetic vision. Thank you Tedx and keep 'em coming!

Wow! That was dynamic! And authentic! And respectful, in a wonderfully bold way! Wow again! Well done, Katie, both as a person and with your craft.

So true being an actor / writer type, contracts can just pop up in your life. That’s why artists are so anxious

When it happens so often and with freakish pertinence one must say it's way beyond coincidence.

Really appreciate this. I know what she's speaking of, but there were a few things that I needed to hear and which I could admit to myself at this time. I need to admit that things are difficult and that despite efforts I'm not really going anywhere, so I should just ease off for a moment, breathe, and turn inward for advice. I do need to accept that more often - sometimes we charge around like headless chickens and get ourselves into such a state that we aren't thinking clearly, we're not really thinking at all, we're not even in touch with our intuition...

Darling Phenylethylamine "going anywhere" is very cultural.and when you get there will you know and then will you stop to smell the roses? You know- you just have layers built on top.

jackchorn For me, it is a cultural thing. I certainly will know when I achieve it, it's something tangible :)

You were very fortunate to have three years of spiritual and emotional support at an intense level. That's not possible for the majority of people, so this speech is more aimed at the middle class who have more freedom financially, so this hasn't helped me at all. What was the point of talking about your luck and advantages you have had through your life? You coma across as spoilt and smug in this speech

Katie Nicholls as she states she didn't have the money for the school and borrowed money. Your comment makes protrays you as spiteful and an excuse maker. People who make excuses are seldom good at anything else.

Define spiritual. So vague a term that I've never heard two people with the same definition.

socksumi don't over think it, it's just reconnecting with our primal life as animals. Living life in the moment one second at a time instead of being stuck in our own head constantly thinking of nonsense

Terrible audio. So noisy, it’s hard to understand what she is saying.
