The editing of your video's is always amazing. Great series, Rugged. With your travels, do you feel safe for the most part, seems your always in some pretty remote locals. May be a future topic on travel safety? Take care.
Just added the Ha Chaing Loop to the Bucket list. Phenomenal. Execceded all expectations. Not for the faint hearted. SUITS THE THRILL SEEKER ..PERFECTLY. SCENERY IS 100 PERCENT... SPECTACULAR. ❤❤❤❤❤
I am living here in Vietnam (have commented a few times already) and it's definitely worth having protection outside the urban area and carrying first aid just in case. I always gear up when heading out of the city now, either my street armored jacket or offroad dirtbike equipment. Around town a pair of gloves, full-face helmet, and arm sleeves are fine. It's not worth the risk if you can afford to adequately protect yourself, most local Vietnamese don't have the knowledge or perhaps funds to spend but I do know some that do. Also, go for textiles and lighter colors in the future and soak your shirt or neck buff in water throughout the day! It's an easy way to keep yourself cool while riding and you will easily dry out after 1 or 2 hours.
The green drink that you take is Pandan not pineapple like they say, Matcha is kind of tea. They mix them to be that smoothie drink. I like you both and very enjoy your video.. 👍😁😁
Tim and Fin - As I get older and the years pass along, I find myself putting on more protective gear than I would have in my youth. We like to say, "No judgement, ride within your comfort level and wear what makes you feel safe." Good dialog today. Keep the shiny side up. - GO2Wheels
A Junior Mint drink 😍 great advice, awesome editing - loved the fly thru the information plaque into the amazing drone footage! Reading menus like that is so much fun!
great vid ans advice, i agree, too much bagkpakers go to the loop to ride, with ZERO riding experience, and sometimes in duo...and i don t talk about fliflop,short.....they are a danger for themselves..and others too........
We just finished the same route from Ha Giang to Cao Bang! Some of those roads were so unbelievable!! Even if we did come off the bike on the way! Best trip ever!
We’re fine, just a couple of grazes, lucky we were well covered up. We had two people on an XR150, lost the front on a wet slippery, moss covered switchback and just couldn’t recover it. It’s crazy to see you took the exact same roads, including the wrong turns to the rivers you can’t cross!
I’m so jealous of your video. I plan to ride Ha Giang loop n make a video but I don’t think it’s any where near the high quality vlog you made. Beautiful journey and exceptional quality vlog 👍🏼
I ride in Australia, and the agreement I have with Bettie is that I'm allowed to ride as long as I wear protective gear. It's sweaty sweaty times in the summer wearing all the right gear, but it's better than risking coming off with nothing much between you and the road! I do get jealous of other riders out there with singlets on sometimes though!!
Hi guys, great clip, I love it so much, most with drone. Do you enjoy Christmas in Việt Nam? 13:03 that's Matcha Pandan(kind of scent leaf; it's not pineapple cause they use Google Stranlate, so it's wrong!)
The benefits of a communist society, building great telecom networks where you need them, without planning, and broadcasting at high power! VN connectivity is great 👍 Great episode guys.
Never surpassing anything on a turn. If you think your bike couldn't do that, it probably is true. Know your bike's technical specification. Truck drivers are terrible (They are terrible, especially container truck drivers, stay away from them). That is all to know about safety on Vietnamese highway.
Re: Internet speeds: Curious, I checked my own speeds....in Seattle, metro, with an unobstructed 180 degree view, top floor/4th. From my living room: 24.06 download. 5.95 upload. Iphone6S+ And Yummy Cafe kicks Seattle's ass! WTF?! Shit, I've got Facebook, Microsoft, and Amazon less than a mile away....and a VIETNAMESE crap cafe is kicking their collective asses. #Pathetic Shoutout to Finn for jumping on the horse- and excelling, "getting it". I've been riding since I was 22; I'm turning 64 in Feb. I have a '87 BMW K75 and a '85 Honda Elite 80. Curious about the scooters you both rented; what engine cc? Was it enough?; second thoughts? Seeing the route, the drone shots (gr8!).....I'm GOING TO DO that very thing; you both have me stoked to give it a go. I love corners and twisties. And I hate a freeway. Stay safe guys!
Haha so funny Yummy beats Seattle!! 😂 My semi automatic Honda Blade was a 125 and Tim’s was only just a bit bigger (and completely manual). They don’t typically rent big 225 bikes in Vietnam unless you’re on a guided tour like Easy Riders
Fantastic editing...going into the info board was cool!
Loved that cool transition at 3:56!

Joe D I thought that transition at 3:55 was pretty neat!

Looking forward to my trip to Hanoi & Northern Vietnam, 65 days to go.
Thao Brewster yeah but you should do that everytime you go travelling. I mean even in western europe they dont treat you before paying cash.

Yes, that’s why I ordered it originally. It wasn’t matcha green tea though. It was very minty!
Love you guys! Great video as always. Wishing you both a Merry Christmas and a safe prosperous New Year. Cheers from Hugh and Connie

I'm so envious and impressed with your girlfriend's courage to ride with you to enjoy all the breathtaking and spectacular scenery... 👍👍👍👍👍😘
Great Video ! Fin, would you consider taking a motorcycle riding safety course once you get back to the states? Great knowledge for these trips!
Tim has been trying to convince me to take one in the states for years ☺️
Nice drone footage....
Just binging videos. Fishers - gotta be Indy!

First! Second to like lol
It’s very dangerous for riding a motorcycle in VN. I would not do that.
