Across 4 days we rode on the back of a motorcycle on Vietnam’s deadliest road: the Ha Giang Loop. It was a wild and bumpy ride but we had some incredible people doing it alongside us. Through rain, dust and shine, we were making our way through Northern Vietnam’s most beautiful landscapes!
The fairy bosoms of Quan Ba, the Nho Que River, Ma Pi Leng Pass, and reaching the northernmost point of Vietnam as we peered into China, were just a few highlights of our incredible journey.

My goodness! That is a memorable journey for you two and what a fun group as well. What was the total cost for each person? I see some people riding themselves so there’s a different price depending how you tour?
It sure was! We loved every minute of it 🥰. You save about 1,000,000 VND by riding by yourself but note that you do need your IDP to do so! Otherwise it generally costs around 230USD per person for what we did.
Where did you leave your main travel luggage whilst you went on the tour?
You leave it with the hostel/tour company that you book with!

I’m going to Sapa next month. Do you think the weather will be clear? Also who carried all your luggage as you went to through the loop trip?
Yes it should be clear however there’s a higher chance of rain during the summers. When doing the loop you leave your luggage with the hostel or tour company that you booked with!

This was in late March! November is one of the best times to do it with dry and cool weather!

Do you mean ride by yourself to get to different hikes? There aren’t really any hikes on the Ha Giang Loop.
@@LaurenJason To clarify, I wanted to know if there were hikes in Sapa that you can go on without a guide :)
@@julee6457 yeah! We actually did our own self-guided trek through one of Sapa’s villages which you can see in our previous video: ua-cam.com/video/35WuGnOLXuM/v-deo.html.
Just to clarify, Ha Giang and Sapa are totally different regions of Northern Vietnam!
Do you think 4 days was too much? I'm debating between the 3 or 4 day tour!
We enjoyed our 4 days but many groups only do the 3! On the 3rd day you do spend a large amount of time riding back into Ha Giang while stopping at a couple spots. But if you prefer the 3 day you’re not missing out on too much! However, I would check to make sure they head to the most northern part of Vietnam on the 3 day as that was a great experience!

Did you bring a drone? What kind? requirements/permits needed?
We use the dji mini 3 pro! And Vietnam is quite relaxed especially in the northern area!
