Awesome video as always! You know, i have always wondered why when I was taking my classes on film they would give us files that almost looked gray and we would have to color correct as you have shown here. But they never told us or I at least don't remember them saying how to make your footage look like that. I thought it was the camera being used that shot it like that already but I learned a lot in this video on how to achieve that. Thanks!

Hey Matt. I just bought a Canon EOS R7 for my self-tapes. I used to use a video camera with an attached monitor I could see while self-taping. How do you view your self-tapes while filming? Just attach your phone? I'm sure it's a rookie question if you're used to a wide angle lens camera ;) Thanks for the great videos!
Will in hollywood at right now are they doing auditions in person? Or are they asking self taps? Bcoz before due to corona u said that due to Corona they doing audition through self taps, so after the vaccination at right now is it same going on or are they doing auditions in person? is everything came to normal??

I've never been told to put a title card on any of my tapes. is that required?
No it isn’t, but I like to do it just so they have my info readily available.
Do you always add title cards at the beginning of your self tape?
Yeah just a 2 second card with my height, location, union status and agency contact.

@@yournewtexashome I think if it’s two seconds at the beginning and the end it can’t hurt. I’ve booked with tapes that have those little slates, but don’t draw it out or waste people’s time.

Yeah must feel nice to be able to have all that money to spend on the nice cameras the good sound the good lighting they want us to like look like we’re on the TV show With professional hair and make up color correction it’s like give me a break…God for bid they look at our acting. Nice videos though wish I had time to do all that. 😖😖😖
Honestly, if I moved out to LA with $10,000 and a will to work, could I make it in acting? I mean pretty much any type of role. I don't expect a lead role in a studio film, yet but could I make enough money to live on month to month? Anything you can tell me is beneficial.
